Rudeus (Rudy) Greyrat
Our MC. A man who was reborn as Rudeus Greyrat after dying from the wounds he received in a freak car accident. Seriously a genius, but he has a trauma against it because of wasting his life and causing nothing but disappointment and pain to his family in the past.
Seemingly a completely different person from the one who got reborn in canon.
His main combat ability lies in magic, but due to his analytical skills and ability to synthesize information, he's also well above average in sword fighting as well.
Due to various reasons, he strongly inherited Laplace factors, granting him excessive amounts of mana and the ability to control it. He also possesses the ability to see mana due to certain events that occurred while he was an infant.

Paul Greyrat
Rudy's father. A reckless, act first/think later type of person. Irresponsible, but good at heart.
Seriously a terrible guy, but since becoming a father, he's been getting better. A little.
A genius at the sword who reached the Advanced Level in the three major sword schools at twelve.
Also a serious perverted lecher... though that's mostly true for all Greyrats. As for why he can pick up girls despite his attitude, here's how he looks when he's serious and lets his hair loose.

Zenith Greyrat
Rudy's mother. A noblewoman from the Holy Continent of Milis who ran away from home because she was fed up with the expectations placed on her. Kind hearted and caring, but also can be a bit of a tomboy.
Skilled at healing and basic magic since she was trained as a child, and also familiar with combat from adventuring, but she isn't really a fighter. At least, when Rudy was born.

Lilia Greyrat
Originally, she was a maid who was hired by Paul and Zenith to help care for Rudy and help during his birth. However, due to certain events, she ends up being part of the family and a second mother to Rudy.
She and Paul have a complicated past (putting it lightly).

Rudy's baby sister. In another timeline, her daughter deals the final blow on Demon God Laplace. Here...?

Technique God Laplace
The strongest being in the world who created the Seven World Powers ranking system. A man from the Dragon race who has mastered countless techniques in preparation to pass them down to Orsted in order to defeat Hitogami.
In truth, he is one half of the Magic Dragon King Laplace who was split apart after failing to defeat Hitogami after the fall of the other realms.
In canon, he is only mentioned by name and does not appear in story. He also lacks most of his memories and magical powers, knowing only that he must defeat 'God' and pass on his abilities to someone in order to accomplish that fact.
Here, however, he seems to be playing an active role. Unlike Canon, he is very much aware of Hitogami and also appears in full possession of his powers. At least, he is capable of using magic in addition to his skills.
While acting in opposition to Hitogami, he wears a similar garb to Orsted in order to go under the radar. But when acting directly, he tends to wear a body-tight suit of golden armor.
As for his true identity... Well, that's to be determined.

Orsted
Dragon God Orsted. The second strongest being in the world with a mission to defeat Hitogami, the Human God and stuck in a time loop that grants him unlimited tries to do so.
Part of the Dragon Race, he has a massive mana pool and physical strength. He possesses and has mastered countless techniques and magic spells to prepare to fight his fated opponent and moves about while thinking of centuries in the future.
Possesses a curse inflicted by Hitogami that makes him perceived as the mortal enemy of every being in the world.
Said curse does not effect Rudy, whose soul is not from that world.

Rostelina Dragonroad
In another timeline and up until Rudy's birth, she was known as Elinalise. However, due to certain events she recovered her memory and identity that she lost in the past and is traveling with her master for a mysterious reason. A true elf, but to not stand out, she sometimes uses a disguise spell to hide her ears.
She possesses a natural ability of being a mana core and possessive excessive amounts of mana in her body.
Previously, a curse forced this ability to manifest as the production of mana crystals with the requirement of XXX activities. However, since meeting with her master, that curse has been lifted and her body has been turned to normal, granting her the ability to utilize and transfer her mana without such activities.
...Of course, decades of habit has left its mark as a flirtatious attitude and plenty of bed time skills which she uses to tease her master.

Philip Boreas Greyrat
Paul's cousin, who is the son of Paul's Uncle, Sauros.
A manipulative and patient man who has endured countless losses while waiting for an opportunity to turn the table and seize the position as the heir to the Boreas family.
The current mayor of the Citadel of Roa. Also Paul's boss.

Eris Boreas Greyrat
The granddaughter of Sauros Boreas Greyrat, the Region Lord of Fedoa. A young girl with a fiery temper and personality. She's a natural at the sword. As to everything else...
Due to Paul's brash decisions, she's currently Rudy's betrothed. A fact she is extremely unhappy about, even if it means she's free to devote all of her time into training like she wants.

Ghyslaine Dedoldia
Former party member of Paul and Zenith's when they were adventurers.
One of the few Sword Kings in the world. Trained directly by the current Sword God.
Possesses a Demon Eye that allows her to see the flow of magical power. However, it does not allow her to see ambient mana.
Currently working as a guard for the Boreas Family, as well as Eris's sword tutor.

A seemingly brash and domineering man in his fifties who rules over the Fedoa Region as its lord. The current head of the Boreas family.
Respects power, talent, and determination. A softie at heart despite his harsh exterior.

Sylphiette (Sylphy)
Rudy's childhood friend who he saved from a monster attack after certain events. Extremely talented with magic and can intuitively manipulate wind, ice, and water. Cares a great deal for Rudy and would do anything to protect and support him.

Sylphy's mother and Laws's wife. An ordinary female villager who enjoys gardening. Kind-hearted and caring.
For the longest time, Rudy didn't know her name because he forgot to ask and then got too afraid to ask after knowing her a while.
Doesn't have a name in canon and has little to no screentime.

Laws
Sylphy's father.
In canon, his name is Laws Dragonroad, raised until adulthood by his mother, Elinalise Dragonroad.
Here he was given up at birth and raised as an orphan. His only keepsake of his parents is a delicately carved wooden pendant that he keeps with him.
A skilled marksman and surprisingly good brawler. He's serious and lawful, true to his name.
Paul's one and only friend.

Rudy's magic teacher. While she looks young, she's actually over 30 years old. Her appearance is due to being a part of the long-lived Migurd Magical Race.
A Saint-ranked Magician and well-renowned alumni of the Ranoa Magic University.
Prior to meeting Rudy, her specialty was in water magic. But after meeting Rudy, she becomes infamous as the <Callous Witch of Destruction> who specializes in every element due to borrowing his <Magical Arrays> theory of magic circles and expanding upon it.
Secretly has a crush on Rudy, though she refuses to acknowledge it due to the age difference.
