The reason why Aeon provoked the leader of the Quaggoth Sergeants to the fullest was because he was planning to trigger the Goblin Set Bonus, the [Chaos Veil].

To trigger that, the attack received by Aeon should be critical which could either injure him severely or even kill him.

Since the other party didn't have any intention of killing him right away, Aeon provoked it to make sure they went for the critical hits.

With that thought in mind and the confusion he created by injuring the Leader of the Quaggoth Sergeants along with the five seconds of his invisibility, Aeon decided to escape from it.

'The effect from the Goblinstep Shoes is good for escaping.'

Within five seconds, Aeon had already run away for more than 200 meters and even after the invisibility effect wore off, Aeon continued to run for a couple of kilometers.

'No one is coming after me, right?'

Only after running for two kilometers, Aeon turned back to check whether he was being chased by the Quaggoth Sergeants.

With his speed, it would be impossible for Quaggoth Servants to chase after him; however, Quaggoth Sergeants could easily catch up to him.

The Leader of the Quaggoth Sergeants, despite losing two limbs, still maintained the aura of a leader and commanded the other Quaggoths.

After escaping from Quaggoth Sergeants, Aeon only stopped once to check back and after that, he never stopped until he reached the cave.

Only after reaching the cave, Aeon rested his back against the cave wall and heave a sigh of relief for successfully returning alive.

'I wonder how many Quaggoth Servants I killed.'

While resting, Aeon checked the trial progress with a curious look on his face.

Back then, Aeon was fully focused on killing the Quaggoth Servants until Quaggoth Sergeants came out and spoiled his killing spree, he didn't get time to check the progress of his trial.

Since he returned home, Aeon could check it without any problem.

'It is definitely because of the boost in my [Fighting Spirit]. If those Quaggoth Sergeants didn't come out of the hole, I might have killed the 38 more Quaggoth Servants easily and gotten down with the Quaggoths.'

According to the Grimoire of Life and Death, he had to kill 100 monsters from each race and once he killed 100 Quaggoth Servants, there wouldn't be any increase in the Trial Progress even if he killed more Quaggoth Servants or Sergeants.

'Nevermind. for today, I have done enough.'

Even though Aeon was still very far from completing his trial, today's progress was the highest progress he had made in the trial since he arrived in this realm.

'Feeding the Goblin Soldiers to the Grimoire of Life and Death gave me a 5 percent boost each in my speed whereas the Quaggoth Servants gave only 1 percent.'

Aeon mentally notes down the effects he would get under the [Devour Effect] by feeding the Grimoire of Life and Death different corpses.

'There are still many monster races like Forest Gremlins, Orcs, Trolls and many more. I have to slowly figure out what kind of effects I could get by feeding them.'

The effects were temporary; however, during the fights where he was surrounded by a large group of monsters, he could easily become a stranger by killing and feeding them one by one to the Grimoire of Life and Death.

'Anyway, I am curious about the gifts I will get from feeding 62 Quaggoth Servants.'

Of course, Aeon didn't forget about the gifts as he patiently waited while analyzing his earlier fight with the Quaggoths.
