Leylin was standing in front of a digital map of the battlefield in the G1 Base.

"They have intercepted the hostels and started the sortie. Alpha company's coming up on the flank will hit in 30 seconds."

"Good this should be the last of the Knightmares they have"

"Yes, your highness the rest can be managed by the ground commanders and will not need our input."

"I still feel I should be leading the charge"

"It is not needed, the opposing Knightmares are on their last leg, they don't even have enough energy fillers to outfit all their Knighmares, I have already intercepted their messages regarding the location of other Knightmares."

"Good they will help supplement our forces, while the sand riders help in the mobility of Sutherlands they are still not as good as the Knightmare developed by the MEF, especially for the sand."

"One can never have enough Knightmares after this is over we should have a few months of off time. The final cleanup can be handled by the rest. Euphemia has been begging you to visit."

It had been a few years since Empress Marianne's death, as Leylin guessed it had not affected them much. However, the subsequent invasion of Japan was unexpected to many not in the know.

They had thought the presence of Lelouch would mean the Emperor would not declare war. However, the Emperor was not known for his love of his children. In the process, most Japanese businesses and companies were closed and taken over by Britannia. This left a lot of highly skilled Japanese now Elevens with no work opportunity. Knowing the opportunity, Leylin had Ororborus Tech snag as many of the top Japanese minds that they could.

Leylin had been doing this since before Japan's invasion, however, with Area 10 being incorporated before the companies formation, this was the biggest influx of new talent in the company. Ororoborus Tech had expanded to many fields thank the new hirings. All of whom were paid thanks to the price Brittania paid to buy their Knightmares. Of course, the irony wasn't lost on Leylin, but why say no to more profits for less.

Of course, Leylin made sure to have as little discrimination against numbers as possible. A happy workforce was a productive workforce. So his company was now one of the biggest employers of numbers in Britannia.

The head of the company of course was Leylin's mother, with Leylin being focused on his military career.

"I really wanted to take Abadon for a spin one last time," said Cornelia. "A final battle under the desert sun."

Abandon and Beelzebub were custom 7th generation Knightmares that Ororborus Tech had created. With the help of the AI chip, Leylin was able to Fastrack the development of the 7th Generation Knightmares.

Right now the scientists were working on the Gefjun Disturber, a technology he acquired with the entry of one Rakshata Chawla into his company. It had been quite a challenge for other companies to recruit her. However, as soon as Leylin mentioned the ability to work in the institute that had made 7th generation Knightmares before the "Earl of Pudding" along with promising a few favors and pay rises, he was able to get one of the best minds in Knightmare Research into his team.

"Sir Alpha company has attacked from the back, they have destroyed all Knightmares" came the voice of a major.

"Good, what are the losses?"

"5 Knightmares would need minor repairs, and 2 would need major repairs."

"That's fine tell them to retreat now, however, keep the perimeter around the base make sure no supplies go in."
