Feeling his line suddenly twitch the strange man cackled aloud before happily shouting "Come to your new home little fishy, come to the world of your dreams" as he quickly wound his reel, his right arm began moving faster and faster till it was moving so fast that it became just a indiscernible blur.

As the screech of the reel grew even louder than when it was casted the strange man sensing the arrival of his catch suddenly cackled aloud "here he comes" before leaping backwards into the sky executing a perfect midair twist, followed by a few graceful flips before landing firmly on the ground with a "thud" his back to the Archway.

This skillful maneuver enabled him to focus the flips full momentum into a single powerful pull. Channeling all of his strength into this single almighty yank, he fought against the strong resistance of the natural laws, hauling free his star hook from the abyssal depths of the archway, which was wrapped around the arm of a young man with dark wavy hair wearing only a pair of black silk pajamas, who finally burst out from the inky void with a single thunderous "POP".

Standing up the young man's eyes sparkled with excitement as he gazed at this strange new world, than with the slightest of grins he softly exclaimed "truly interesting."

Examining his new surroundings closely the young man suddenly heard the sound of someone clearing their throat.

"Ahem!!!"

Surprised that someone had managed to get behind him without him noticing he smoothly turned around discovering a bizarre looking old man towering above him proudly wearing a dignified expression upon his venerable bearded face.

"Greeting new guine.."COUGH" "COUGH", I mean, young candidate."

Eyeing the strange old man's outlandish outfit with fascination he smiled, making a slight bow from the waist, before politely saying "greeting sir, my name is Salvatore, might I have the honor of knowing who you are?"

"Me, why isn't it obvious" he said as he reached up and stroked his long sparkling beard before proudly exclaiming "I'm a god."

"GOD" exclaimed young Salvatore astonished , "your GOD, the lord almighty, the alpha and omega?"

"WHOA WHOA WHOA, NO!!!"

Wearing a fearful penitent look on his aged face he hurriedly looked towards the heavens and quickly spoke.

"Um, sorry up there, he didn't mean it, he's crazy, wacko, out for lunch, please ignore the words spoken by this foolish, lowly worm which clearly does not deserve the ability of speech."

As though acknowledging his apologetic words the clear sky suddenly rumbled once before returning to its clear, sunny, state.

Sighing in relief his fearful expression was quickly replaced by a look of extreme aggravation as he turned to face Salvatore.

"WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO GET ME KILLED?!! TEN SECONDS INTO A CONVERSATION WITH YOU AND ALREADY MY VERY EXISTENCE IS THREATENED!"

"SIGH....."

"Listen, it's not "GOD", but "god" see, it's all lowercased, the key word being "lower". I'm not "THE GOD", I'm this universes god, well, one of them at least. Here it's considered more of a title to denote my level of power, then a specific claim to deification, for there is only one true GOD."

"And trust me, he does not like it one bit when someone falsely claims to be him, keep talking like that and will soon both be up to our ears in Retributional Lightning."

"Oh, sorry sir, my mistake, but still that is rather impressive that you're a god, even if you're not "THE GOD"."

"Your damn right it impressive" he exclaimed proudly while sticking out his gaudy thin chest "while I may not be "THE GOD" I'm not one of those run of the mill gods you can find just anywhere, I'm the one running this corner of the show."

"Allow me the honor of formally introducing myself" he cackled aloud before flashing a big toothy grin and saying "I am the one, and only, Stargod, Sidus Dei. But you can call me Sid."

"Welcome young Salvatore, welcome to my domain, the star galaxy, a wondrous place where I promise you will find what you have always longed for, a place which can easily quench the undeniable lust for battle which pulsates through your veins with every breath you take."

"In this place where strength is all that matters, were life and death are the playthings of only the truly strong, you will find that your former strength counts for nothing, here you are just a puny little mortal. Here were the strong are many, here were the weak are trod upon by the strong, you will find countless foes who can, and will, easily snuff you life out given the slightest inclination."

"Today you stand upon a life-altering precipice, a new stage upon a new world, already one choice has been made, another now lays before you, I urge you to make your decision with sagacious wisdom."

"The choice I speak of is this, for countless centuries I have searched the vast cosmos for a worthy candidate and from the numerous life forms in existence only you Salvatore have I found worthy of being chosen for this once in a lifetime opportunity."

"What I offer, is a life-time of battle and bloodshed, against countless foes who possess unimaginable strength, during which you will almost constantly be immersed in life and death situations that will test the very fibers of you being."

"If this is something you truly desire than accept my offer and begin your journey upon a new path road, however if you find such a life unacceptable then merely walk back through that Archway and you will be returned to your former life, you have 5 min's to decide."

"No need, I willingly choose to come here, so as far as I am concern I have already accepted your offer, however I'm sure you already knew this you smug bastard."

"I assure you that nothing of the sort ever passed across my mind."

"Then why is your face wearing such a smug grin, that oozes the familiar conceited cunning of a skilled merchant who sold a world-renowned genius into slavery then got him to help count the money too?"

"Ahem..." clearing his throat, Sid replied in a roundabout manner "Regardless of your slanderous insinuation's rather blatant attempt of denunciation, I congratulate you on making a wise decision, and I am confident that in the following days to come you will feel this was the greatest defining moment of your entire life."

"However, this is merely the beginning, presently you are far too weak to accomplished the great purpose I have chosen you for. Therefore, in order to tap your full potential you will have to undergo a simple test."

"A simple test?"

"Yes, a very simple test, to pass it you only need to survive long enough to collect a few random old items."

"What kind of items?"

"Also to give you a little help I am going to graciously bestow upon you several godly gifts in order to provide you a sliver of hope at surviving, however whether you succeed or fail is still entirely up to your will to live."

"WHAT kind of items?"

"I should probably first provide you with some common knowledge."

"WHAT KIND OF ITEMS, BASTARDO DIVINA!!!?"

Woahhh, temper-temper, we'll get to that in a second" Sid said using the authoritative tone an adult uses to calm a unruly child while he though knowingly "Personally I feel you should be more concerned with surviving for longer than a week."
