Hard feelings

By the time Zoey and Nickel arrived their floor, the two entered Nickel's crib because he promised that he will be in charge on tonight's meal, little did Zoey knew that he will be in charge on all their meals up until he made sure that the coast is clear.

"Can I just follow you there, I have to change clothes and bring Happy, that dog will not stop howling once she knew that we are here."

Nickel at first doesn't want the idea of leaving a sight to her but this thing is just a minor to worry about so he allows her and then kissing her forehead and said, "just make it fast, okay?"

Nickel went to his kitchen and with the help of his ever trusted friend, Google, he comes up to an edible dish with pork liver. The two savored the dish with Happy on the other side eating her favorite dog dish.

"Zoey can you please promise me one thing." Nickel put down his cutlery and looked straight to Zoey as he cannot keep this thought by himself anymore.

"What is it?"

"Next time that you feel something please tell it to me. Don't mind wherever at whatever I am doing, can take them aside for you. You are the most important person in my life and I will not be going to take if you something happens to you. Please promise me to tell me anything either it is a small or nonsense things."

Zoey saw his worries in his eyes. She also felt this outmost sincerity when he asked her to not keep the things within her. Zoey is now blaming herself for causing these things to the man he loves.

"Yes, of course. I will not be going to do it ever again." Zoey cupped his left cheek in which he placed a kiss to consolidate the moment.

The next morning before the two entered the car and go on their way to ASC, Nickel asked Zoey for the hundredth time if she is feeling okay and nothing seems strange in her body. He even educated himself about the dos and don'ts of red days and of what to do for cases of emergency. He himself didn't expect that he has to know all of this in his entire life. He thought that the menstrual period is just like releasing all the blood discharge inside the body to cater to new cells.

"Goodness, Nickel! I told you I could go to work. I am okay! I am fine. One more time you ask that question and I will hail a cab her and go on my own."

"Okay, babe! No need to use that octave tone of yours. I am just reassuring everything is okay and under my control."

"Whatever you say!"

Meanwhile at Saint Raphael the Archangel.

Eya arrived at the hospital earlier than her schedule because she couldn't take it anymore, the way in which she and her best friend are treating each other.

She sneakily asked Zick's secretary of his schedule so she will have time to decide when and where did she have to confront him to end this pass the message game that they are playing. Zick was still in his office reading manuscript of his trainees when his door opens.

"Lea, can you please reschedule my appointment tomorrow evening. Thank you." Zick addresses his instruction to his secretary without batting an eye on her but it wasn't Lea who opened the door.

"Do you want to grab breakfast with me?" Eya said.

Zick stopped what he was doing and looks at the doorway and saw his best friend's head stuck at the space between the doors.

"What are you doing here? Isn't it too early for you to be here?" Zick returned his attention to he had left. Eya, on the other hand, welcomed herself inside the office and sat on his couch while scanning the room. It has been ages since she last entered this cave of his. Too long that she almost forgot the fragrance that his room had compared to the other offices.

Zick is a meticulous kind of person. He placed everything in order and doesn't want anything that smells stinky. That is why his room smelled like a spa or a luxurious hotel lobby.

"I went here early because I want to take you for a breakfast. I missed my best friend already. So, please stop playing hide and seek with me."

"Am I playing hide and seek? Am I hiding?" Zick sarcastically asked her. He knew what he is talking about but decided to play dumb this time or every time.

"Oh my God! You know what I am talking about, Zick. Did I do something wrong? Did I say something wrong? I am sorry whatever I have done to you. Please let's stop this north and south pole thing that we are doing."

From what Eya had said Zick concluded that she really didn't pay any attention to what he has said. She even forgot the fact that he used him and his family as cover up to allow her to have a date with that Dennis. In which he strictly told her that never use him as an excuse if it is because of that man.

But what she had done? She still used him and his family to her parents. Ever since that night, Zick started to have these hard feelings from her. Aside from that he always sees them together. Although he wasn't talking to her news have its own wings that landed on his shoulder.

"Sorry, I don't know what you talking about and excuse me I already have a breakfast appointment. Go eat with whoever is here. Bye." Zick wrapped up his things and left Eya on the couch dumbfounded.
