Chapter 6

"Mum, dad", I called them out of their thoughts.

They both turned to look at me this time.

"When are my transfer documents getting ready?",I asked with a faint smile .

They both stared at me with surprised faces.Their gaze on me became so intense that I had to snap fingers at them to bring them back to the present.

"What did you just say hunnie?", mum asked

"Are you ….serious?",dad added.

"Do you really want to …."

"Oh please, just inform me whenever you guys are ready ",I cut mum off before she could finish her sentence.

"Come here princess",dad opened his arms which I happily ran into. Mum later joined us and we enjoyed that special moment.

"So when can I start my new school?, I broke the silence.

"Relax dear, we have something to show you first", mum was always the first to speak.

"What could that be?, I asked curious.

"Come with me", she placed her arms over my shoulder and took me out. I was blindfolded before we moved out of the room.

"Mum, what's with this?", I couldn't stop being curious.

"Just stay calm darling and take steps one after the other", she said .

I kept walking slowly till I we came to a standstill.

"I'm going to removed the blindfold on my third count", she said and I nodded nervously.

"One , two, three, tadaaa", everyone exclaimed.

I saw myself standing in front of a luxurious brand new Range Rover, which was azure in color.

"This is for you", mum simply stated while handing over the keys to me.

"You mean…. you mean this is mine?", I asked surprised.

"Don't you like it?",

"What do you mean by like it, I'm in love with it", I answered happily

"Your dad and I prepared this for you so we are glad you love it".

"Thank you so much mum", I said to mum.

"I'm also here young lady",dad jumped in.

"You are just the best dad", I said to him and ran into his arms.

"I think someone is getting jealous ", dad teased winking at mum and we all broke out laughing.

I waved at Ana who was just standing by the door looking at the whole scene and she gave me a thumbs up then went inside. After admiring my new car for some time, I finally took the keys to check the interior of the car.Mum and dad left me alone and went inside. I joined them after going on a tour with my car.

'I now have my own car, I can drive to wherever I want whenever I want', I thought

"Darling, I have to leave now ", dad said to me

"Me too hunnie",mum added.

I knew they just took some time off their busy schedules to break this news to me so I had to let them go even when it hurt.

"What about my new school?, I asked trying to enlighten the moment.

"What do u say about Wenchester High?", dad asked , "we already spoke to the principal and he can be of help ", he added immediately he saw my confused face.

"I have no problem then", I replied calmly.

"You can start on Monday, if that's okay with you", mum added.

"Alright , I have no problem ", I answered quickly not because I wanted to but I wanted to make them happy.

"And you can use your car whenever you want to, you don't need a driver", mum assured.

"Really"

"Yes darling", she said and checked her watch,"I think we would leave you with Juliana, we have to go, she added.

"Everything you will need for your new school will be ready during the weekend", dad said when they rose to leave.

I bid them goodbye before the left. I returned to my room to make some calls. I spoke to Lisa for sometime and explained things to her then to Selena. They both understood and supported the decision of my parents. They even wished they had that chance.

" You can do it girl, they are not zombies. You might even fall for one of them", she said and without waiting for my reply she hanged up.

Mum also said" donot forget all that I've taught you, put them into practice and teach those rascals some lessons"

From dad," don't show them you are weak, they would trample upon you, just be like your parents ", his words always gave my strength to keep fighting.

I laid quietly on my bed thinking about how I'm going to cope with the students in Wenchester High. I then took my phone to try and find some essential informations about the school and what I found was all that I needed in a school. Serene environment and all necessary facilities for studies. They also had a very high population of students passing through the school with distinction.

After finding all that I needed to know, I turned off my phone and drifted to sleep.

I woke up in the same state I always find myself. But this time during the fight, I found that same guy who always half saved me.

"Why do you always refuse to untie me?", I asked him when he turned to leave again after the fight.

"You were supposed to fight them yourself but I helped with that leaving the rest up to you", he said and took a step to leave.

"Wait, pleas", I called out," why do you always fight for me?", I asked stopping him in his tracks.

"I don't fight for you, I only help you fight them", he replied and without waiting for any comments from me, he was gone.

I woke up and turned in my bedside lamp. ' Why does he always leave after saving me? And what does he mean by he only helped me fight?',I wondered alone. It took me some time to go back to sleep.

The chumming of the clock woke me up from sleep. I forgot the turn off the alarm before going to bed since it was Saturday . The chumming was followed by Ana's opening of the door.

"You are awake already?", that was the greeting I received from Ana, " didn't you sleep well", she continued to asked when she saw me yawning.

"I woke up in the middle of the night from my nightmares and disturbed this early by this damn clock", I complained.

"You had that nightmare again?

I began narrating everything to her including those confusing words that guy said. After listening to me, she interpreted as a way of me fighting my fears. After having a long conversation, we went downstairs to have breakfast before going to check the mail. There were some documents in a brown envelope. I took it and unwrapped it. They were the documents I would need for my new school. The day went by so fast that I began feeling nervous about the school. On Sunday, we went out for some shopping to release the tension off my shoulders. I helped Ana prepare supper that evening and we ate in serenity. I wished her goodnight after meal and headed to my room. I had some seeet conversations with Selena and Lisa before sleep took over me.
