Chapter 10

I began to narrate everything about my past to her as we walked back hand-in-hand back to class. She kept making a sorrowful face till I was done with my story.

"Poor you, I'm so sorry you had to go through all that", she said .

"No need to be sorry, besides it has already happened so I just have to find a way to move on", I told her tapping her shoulders." But I'm going to fight my fears once and for all", I continued

"Then I'm going to help you out of it", we both smiled and hurried to class.

The lecturer was already in class before we got there.Upon reaching the class, we tried to walk sneakily to our desks but we failed.

"Where are you coming from, both of you?", he questioned . We turned to answer him.

"From the principal's office", I quickly replied.

"Are you Aislin Hart?", he asked again.

"Yes sir", I answered.

"Okay you may have your seat", he finally let us go. For the first time , I wasn't intimidated by a male's presence so I did t stammer.

I realized everyone was staring at me while I walked to my seat but I cared less.

"Are you okay?", Keenan asked immediately I sat down.

"Yeah I'm fine", I replied shortly.

"So…", he wanted to say something but he was cut off.

"So that would be the end of the class, we shall meet tomorrow ", the lecturer said and walked out.

Class was o we so I had to visit the school shop for my uniform since I looked too different from the students. I signaled Jennie to wait for me so I could drop her off after going to see the shopkeeper.

"See you tomorrow ", I bid Mr president goodbye and went to drag Jennie out of the class.

As we walked along the path leading to where I had parked my car after getting my uniform, we saw the so called R3 squad coming towards our direction. Jennie immediately stopped me from going further.

"Let's go back first, we can come back later", she spoke looking frightened.

'Was she not the same person who told me she would help me fight my fears', I thought.

"But ain't we going home?", I asked her raising a brow.

"Yes we are but you can't meet them like that", she said now it was irritating me.

"Come on Jennie, stop exaggerating and let's go", I said dragging her by the wrist before she could protest. Before we got to my car, they stood leaning on it.

"Aislin , please let's just go back", Jennie warned trying to pull her wrist from the grip.

"No Jennie, we are going home now", I replied determined.

"Hello, can you please excuse us", I asked politely.

Immediately after my words, the guys broke out laughing. I even thought they had gone nuts.

"Pleas listen to me and let's just go back"

"Why don't you listen to your advisor,pretty?", one of them spoke.

""But that's my car and I need…."

"What was that about earlier?", the quiet one amongst them spoke cutting me off, I think he's the Ryan guy.

"Sorry?", I asked not knowing what he was talking about.

"Earlier in the class, why were you making such a fuss while no one was even touching you?", he finally made his point clear.

"None of your business, now if you don't mind can you excuse us?", I said trying to make my way to my car.

"You really have some guts lady, do you know…..,"

"I don't care who you are and I don't want to know, all I want is to go home", I cut him off.

"Urhm, we are sorry but she has some problems with her mental health so please forgive her", Jennie apologized and I was shocked at her behavior .'Who is she referring to as someone who is facing mental challenges?', I thought

"We would leave you to deal with your mental problems then, but don't make such a mistake again", Ryan said and left with his minions following him.

I didn't want to argue to Jennie for being childish but why did she say I had mental problems? I shoved off my anger and got into the car. I drove in silence till I got to Jennie's home and dropped her off. I sped off to my peaceful mansion and I was welcomed by with a serious expression and folded arms. I just smirked at this gesture of Ana when I get to where she was.

"And what's bothering my beautiful nanny?", I teased knowing what was behind that frown.

"Why are you late on your first day back from school?", she threw a question back at me.

"Is that why you have that face on?"

"You haven't answered my question Ash"

"Come on Ana, I'm not a kid so stop being overprotective of me", I said and walked past her.

"Really?", she raised a brow.

"Fine, I had to go see the shopkeeper for my uniform but she wasn't around so I had to wait for her to come back ", I said not adding

not adding what really happened.

If I told her about the R3 squad, she would freak out and call my parents.

"Are you sure?", she asked.

"You know what Ana, I'm very hungry right now, let's talk later. I went straight to the dining table while she followed behind.

"At least got wash down first ", she suggested and I gave a wide smile before leaving to my room.

I threw my bag on the bed and laid down facing the ceiling immediately I got to my room. 'What a disastrous day', I said to my self. I even forgot to take Jennie's number because of those guys. Just when I thought of them, I remembered I didn't stammer when I was talking to Ryan, I rather felt very confident. Maybe my task has began, I said to myself. I went to take my shower before trying to put on the uniform to check if it'd fit. It was as if I was measured before being given the unit, it fitted perfectly. As I was admiring myself looking into the mirror, Ana called.

"What's keeping you up there?

"Ana please come in", I replied.

"The food is going to get cold"

"Please Ana, just two minutes ", and there she was, already inside.

Immediately she saw me in the uniform, she began to smile .

"You are going to spin heads in school if you wear this tomorrow ", she teased.

"Stop the flattering Ana"

"I'm really serious", she said,"anyways come down for supper", she said and went out.

I got out of the uniform and put on an oversized hoodie with shorts and followed to the dining hall. We ate supper while discussing the day's activities to Ana but avoided talking about my hallucinations and my encounter with the R3 guys.

I went into my room trying to find out how I was still able to talk to guys so calmly after the meal. I thought hard tillsleep took over my senses.
