Chapter 1: The Weakest?
"This world is filled with terrible monsters, gigantic, powerful and destructive. Their goal is the consumation of all of humanity. They corrupt humans and use them to defeat those that stand in their path. But we humans have the power to strike back, we have Light Seln, the complete opposite to their Dark Seln. We Seistars are that force that strike back those monsters who we call 'Shisutā'. We use the power of Nakima's, weapons forget out of our own self. Everyone who can and wants to fight should at least give it a try. We need to save this world!"
Those are the words that everyone heard on the faithful day the Shisutā attacked.
Hikaru is on his way to an Academy build to train people as Seistars.
"So the day has finally come?" Hikaru thinks to himself while making his way to the academy.
As he arrives, he gets disgusted looks from all the people around him. He goes to the hall where all the applicants wait.
A slightly older student goes onto the stage.
"I welcome all applicants in the name of the student council. I am Isao Fujisawa the student council president and I will instruct on what you need to do next. Today we will check who of you can summon a Nakima. Every person who summons one can join this academy and those who don't have to go back home." says the student council president behind the podium.
They all get lead into another giant hall with 10 stages with tables.
"When your name is announced please go to your designated stage." the student council president says while going onto one of the stages.
A few people summon a Nakima and a few don't. Those who summoned a Nakima also get a rank based on their Nakimas power.
"Hikaru Kawakami to stage 3 please."
Everybody looks at Hikaru while he goes to the stage, each of their eyes filled with anger and hatred.
Hikaru goes to the table.
"So you will need to lay your hands down on this table and let your Seln flow through this Nakima summoning circle." says the person next to the table.
Hikaru concentrates his Seln into the circle and a bright shining light appears that fills the whole hall.
Everybody is shocked until the light suddenly stops. Hikaru opens his eyes to see a white katana on the table.
People start muttering about him.
"He doesn't deserve to have a Nakima"
"It's probably the worst Nakima in existence."
The man at the table takes his Nakima
"We need to analyse your Nakima so we can tell your rank."
He goes behind the stage.
Hikaru hears the people talking.
"We can not analyse it what do we do now?"
"What? How can that happen?"
"I don't know, it just pushed the Seln away."
"We will just give him the lowest rank for now so everyone is happy that he isn't strong.".
The person then comes back.
"Hikaru Kawakami Rank K" he says.
Everyone sighs.
"I knew that he would be weak."
"It was so obvious that he wouldn't be strong"
Hikaru grabs his Nakima, puts it onto his belt, goes down from the stage, and walks to the hall's exit.
At the exit, a person tells him where his room is and gives him the keys for it and the schedule for his lessons.
Hikaru goes into his room and lays down on the bed.
"Why do they think I will betray them just because my father betrayed them. Why do they assume I am predetermined to be weak?" he thinks to himself.
After taking a look at his schedule, Hikaru goes to sleep.
The next day he goes to his classroom early because he doesn't want to get noticed that much.
When more people enter the room all of them start looking at him with a disgusted look in their eyes.
After a few minutes, the teacher comes into the room.
"Good morning students my name is Mr Yamana."
"Good morning Mr Yamana" all the students answer.
He checks if everyone is present and as soon as Hikaru's name gets called out and he stands up.
"Yes, I'm here"
Everyone looks at him and start whispering.
Mr Yamana then orders silence and continues.
"So today we are going to learn the basics of Seln which is the power which you use with your Nakima. So the first thing we are going to learn is Sikl which is a shield out of Seln. So the basics of this technique are just to imagine a shield and form the Seln in your body into the shield. You can all stand up and try this technique in the air just don't make the shield too big so you don't hit each other."
Everyone stands up and tries this technique and everyone has formed a shield after a few minutes except Hikaru. Everybody laughs at him because he still tries to make a shield.
"He can't even form a shield what a loser. Probably he doesn't even have Seln and the Nakima just appeared out of nowhere."
He sits down and the teacher looks at him but then continues the lesson.
This lesson goes on for multiple hours where he explains basic techniques, but Hikaru can't do one of them and he gets laughed at every time.
"So this technique will be the last one. It is called burst. You can either use it with a technique to gain more Seln into the technique or you can just do it to burst out a big part of your Seln."
Hikaru concentrates his Seln and lets it burst and suddenly every student and even the teacher gets knocked against the walls.
Everybody is shocked and looks at him.
"I am so sorry it's my fault."
But he is actually very happy that he could hit the students to pay back for the whole time they have been bullying him but he is still sorry for hitting the teacher.
"Normally that shouldn't have happened but maybe your Seln is a special kind of Seln. Please follow me after the lesson and this is not your fault it was just an accident and I don't want to hear anyone talking about it." the teacher says.
He shows a few more techniques that Hikaru can't use and after that, the lesson ends.
Hikaru goes to Mr Yamana, he bows down.
"I'm really sorry for what happened."
"Like I said it's not your fault but we have to make sure how that happened. Follow me we will go to an analyzer to analyze your Seln maybe we will find more about it."
Hikaru nods and they head off to the analyzer he goes to a person that is standing at the devices and talks to him. The person nods and Mr Yamana goes back to Hikaru.
"Okay you will now let your Seln flow into that machine and we will analyze your Seln maybe we will find something out and maybe how you will be able to control this power."
Hikaru starts flowing his Seln into the machine and it starts analyzing. Mr Yamana talks to the man working there and then proceeds to walk to Hikaru."
It really seems that your Seln is a special kind of Seln and you will need to discover on your own how it works. The only thing we found out is that it's not a normal kind of Seln so it will probably grant you new abilities." Mr. Yamana says.
Hikaru thanks him and walks to his room to lay down and relax.
Everything that has happened this day goes through his mind again and is kind of happy that he has a chance to get stronger but then realises that he doesn't even know anything about his special powers.
He stands up and goes to the cafeteria to get some food to eat.
He gets his food and sits down at a small table where no one sits. A few students walk up to him.
"You thought you were getting away with what you just did today? You thought we would just let you hit us huh?"
He grabs Shinzukiru by his collar and Hikaru just looks away.
"You think you are strong you little weakling?"
He lifts Hikaru and another student walks up to Hikaru and punches him directly in the stomach as hard as he can. He lets off his collar and Hikaru starts coughing up blood. They start laughing and nearly everyone looks at Hikaru and starts laughing as well. Just a few people look away.
They walk away and Hikaru just sits on the ground.
When everyone started eating and talking again a girl with white hair and red eyes walks up to Hikaru holds her hand in front of him.
"Are you okay?" she asks
"You are just here to laugh at me aren't you?" Hikaru says with a dark look on his face.
"No why would I do that? I know a bit how you feel, my family is also hated around here just because all of them have white hair and red eyes."
Hikaru takes her hand and she lifts him up.
"Thank you uhh..."
"Oh sorry, I didn't introduce me yet. My name is...
