Leisure Life: Classroom of The Elite

"I just want to laze around, minding my own business...so what's up with all those conspiracies?" A random average guy who is about to attend Advanced Nurturing High School established by the Japanese government to nurture the young people who will support the country in the future. Fan-fic about Classroom of the Elite and I don't own any of its characters or...simply anything connected to it so make sure to check out original work. WARNING: I am not planning to make MC change plot from early on, you could even say this MC will be just a side character. It's just that I picked this background (Classroom of the Elite) for a slice-of-life relaxing story. Also, some characters might have slightly different personalities so excuse me for those possible mistakes. (School's evaluation of MC !!!SPOILERS!!!): https://imgur.com/a/E5xnn0l (English isn't my 1st language so expect grammar issues)

#66 Discussion 1

"Yahoo! Hello, Class D students! Hm? Iwamura-kun! What a coincidence! How are you doing these days?" As if it wasn't enough Hoshinomiya also noticed Yuichi in the group and immediately began questioning him as if they were on close terms.

This immediately prompted Horikita to glare at Yuichi while Sudo looked at him with a confused yet slightly surprised expression.

"Eh...I am doing fine, thank you for asking...Um, and how is sensei doing?" Although Yuichi had quite good communication skills, he still fell prey to this too much outgoing teacher.

"Good, good! Everything is fine, thank you for asking me, I have never imagined you would have shown interest in old me" Hoshinomiya said with slightly flushed cheeks but it was obvious that she was just playing it due to her teasing expression.

"...That was just a polite return of que-" Before Yuichi could reply, he was cut off short by someone.

"Hoshinomiya...What-are-you-doing?" Chabashira asked very slowly while glaring at her co-worker and friend.

"Eeep! Looks like I have to go! Good luck everyone! Iwamura-kun, you keep returning to the Staffroom so quickly that it makes me think of it as fate~" Hoshinomiya exclaimed, rushing towards the door but before she left, she still flirted a bit with Yuichi.

"Hoshinomiya, get out, NOW." Chabashira folded her arms and said harshly with narrowed eyes.

"Yeah, yeah, I am going!" Hoshinomiya replied but before she closed doors behind her, she threw a last particular look at Chabashira as if she was thinking "This woman needs to get laid"

"*sigh* Chabashira-sensei, may I ask why is Hoshinomiya-sensei behaving that way when she isn't even my homeroom teacher?" Yuichi couldn't help but ask with a slightly tired expression.

"Ask her yourself but make sure it's in a public place. For now, follow me." She replied before opening the door leading to the hallway.

"Where are we going?" Sudo asked with a confused expression, completely forgetting the things that just happened.

"The discussion will be held inside the student council room." Chabashira said before stepping outside of the Staffroom.

When Horikita heard her words, she froze in place which prompted Chabashira to faintly smile at Horikita.

"Horikita, are you sure you don't want to stop? There is still time..." Chabashira said with an amused tone which confused Sudo but Yuichi knew what she was talking about and why was Horikita reacting so strongly to her words.

"I will go." Horikita unfroze and replied with a nonchalant expression as if she was completely fine but Yuichi couldn't help but smile upon seeing her poor acting.

'She might be intelligent and good at academics and athletics but she is really immature, not honest with her feelings. Always trying to play a strong girl. In this aspect, there are many people much better than her inside Class D.' Yuichi thought and was already planning if he should take her place in this discussion if she were to suddenly freeze.

"Are you really sure about that?" Yuichi asked in a low voice.

"Yes, don't worry about me" She said with a very weird look, it was a combination of gratefulness for his worry with annoyance that he should worry about himself.

"If you say so...I hope we won't regret it" Yuichi muttered before stuffing his hands into his pockets.

"Heh" Chabashira snickered while glancing back at them.

Sudo who followed them was just completely confused since he had no idea what they are talking about.

They walked up to the fourth floor, stopping right in front of the "Student Council Room"

Chabashira knocked and went inside while Yuichi and others followed her.

Yuichi noticed that Horikita flinched a bit before following but he already expected as much.

The moment Yuichi stepped inside, he noticed a male teacher in his 30s, most likely homeroom teacher of Class C. He also noticed Manabu and Tachibana but the first thing he did was to glance towards the clock hanging on the wall without anyone noticing his little glance.

'20 minutes...I have to keep this meeting going for the whole 20 minutes and then I can begin...' Yuichi thought with slightly cold eyes before he glanced at Horikita.

'I am sorry, I will have to use you as a shield, I don't want anyone going after Mei or after me. I just want to play ball and hang out with others, I see no need for me to worry about some people plotting against me. Since I am helping someone, I feel it's only natural for someone else to also take blame/credit.'

Chabashira introduced her students to Class C's homeroom teacher and to the student council president and his secretary.

Yuichi, Horikita, and Sudo sat down opposite to those 3 beaten up students. The moment Yuichi saw them, he couldn't help but release an amused smile upon seeing their injuries.

'How cruel...I was right to redirect the blame/credit before taking any kind of action. If someone so cruel tried to plot against me or worst, against Mei...I would be forced to be even crueler.' Yuichi thought, seeing that their injuries were at least thrice worse than what happened in that brawl.

Yuichi sat next to Chabashira and Horikita. While Horikita was reluctant to sit next to Sudo since it was Yuichi's job to keep him in check but Yuichi convinced her not to worry about it.

"Well, shall we start?" Tachibana stepped forward, between

Tachibana started explaining details of the brawl and while she was at it, Yuichi put his cell phone on the desk with the display facing down.

No one really thought of it much, at most they would view it as a polite gesture that he won't be using his phone during this discussion.

"---------...which is the reason we would like for both sides to confirm which side of the story is true." Tachibana continued an explanation of Class C students' story before she finished and looked towards Class D's side.

"They ar-!" Sudo was enraged by their side of story full of lies so he wanted to start shouting at them but he was quickly interrupted before he could even stand up from his seat.

"Sudo!" Yuichi called out with folded arms while frowning down at Sudo.

"Tch! They are lying, I am the one who was called over to that place and they are the ones who were always obstructing me during my club activities. They are simply jealous of my skills and the fact that our club advisor wants to make me a regular." Sudo gritted his teeth but explained in a neutral tone without raising his voice.

Chabashira glanced at Yuichi and closed her eyes with an approving look in her face.

Naturally, the other side denied Sudo's words.

"If I may add...I am part of the basketball club together with Sudo-kun and I can confirm that students Komiya and Kondo from Class C were provoking him from time to time during the practice games." Yuichi added with a calm tone while facing Manabu who just observed him but never said anything.

"Well, it is my students' word against your word, I admit that you might be respectable captain of the basketball club, Iwamura Yuichi, however, don't you think it is only natural for you to cover for your friend? You are in a respectable and very responsible position, you shouldn't let your feelings get in a way towards the good of the school. A more responsible position also means harsher punishments, I advise you to stop lying, it is indeed very respectable that you want to help your friend but you are in a position where you simply have to sacrifice your feelings for the good of the school." Class C's teacher named Sakagami said while fiddling with a pen in his hand.

The moment Yuichi heard him speak up, he just frowned but when he heard him say "sacrifice" something within him snapped as he narrowed his eyes.

"Sakagami-sensei, I believe it is very unprofessional to presume that just because I am young, I have no experience with such positions. I might appear to be a little blunt and disrespectful by saying this now but, I believe I have sacrificed much more than you might think. Yes, Sudo-kun is my classmate and friend but how long? A few months? Trust me, I have sacrificed something priceless during my Junior High, and even when I felt miserable, all I did was lead my school to the victory, I have turned off my emotions just to be an exemplary "Captain" for my juniors, so please refrain from talking as if you know me personally when you clearly have no idea if I am suitable for that position or not." Yuichi said in one breath and even when he finished, he continued glaring at Sakagami's shocked expression until he felt somebody's hand on his shoulder.

'Exemplary, huh?' Manabu thought as he glanced at Yuichi's face, seeing nothing inside his dull green eyes.

Yuichi woke up from his angry state of mind and looked to his right, seeing Chabashira's hand still on his shoulder. When she noticed that he finally woke up, she put her hand away and acted as if nothing happened.

"Ehm, I apologize for my earlier conduct, I lost my cool and this makes me a hypocrite when I called Sakagami-sensei unprofessional." Yuichi observed everyone's surprised expression before he cleared his throat aloud, apologizing while adjusting his tie with closed eyes and stoic expression. However...did he really lost his composure? Actually, while he was fixing his tie, no one noticed him open his right eye to take a peek at the clock hanging on the wall behind Manabu.

Once again, he shocked everyone how quickly he calmed down and how politely he apologized for his behavior without a need to be called out for it.

'Why did she do that?' Yuichi was confused about why Chabashira "helped" him since it felt as if she was trying her best not to get involved in this despite Class C's teacher helping his students as much as he can.

I am having quite a tight schedule right now so maybe the next chapters will be slightly delayed.
