8 Price of a single cup of Tea

Tenshi smiled gently, nodding "Of course." as he poured the rest of the coffee into a smaller cup, sipping it slowly before washing everything.

He looked at the milk jar and tilted his head, putting it in the fridge for later. It was a shame he didn't have a steam wand, otherwise would he have to froth the milk like this? He sighed to himself and wiped down everything before placing them on the rack.

Tenshi turned around and grabbed the spray bottle, walking around the counter to the Coffee Plant.

The taste of the Chakra Coffee beans was a bit too sweet for him… He needed to mix it with his old beans for a deeper bitterness. Sweet coffee was alright, but real coffee was supposed to be bitter, otherwise what's the difference between it and a milkshake?

Tenshi sprayed water on the plant gently, squatting down and inspecting the leaves, touching them gently, taking off his cleaning gloves. He felt the leaves and hummed. He pulled the planter closer to the window, it was best in indirect sunlight.

However, this type of bean had chakra and the leaves felt a bit tough. They should be flexible and soft. He sprayed a water mist over the whole thing, giving it a bit more sun. This was very strange because normally Coffee Plants grew in rainforests with plenty of rainwater.

Obviously, this wasn't going to work.

The only similar type of environment like this was the Mist Village. Tenshi was sure that Coffee Plants would thrive in the constantly misty area, however that was only normal ones, these ones with Chakra… It was his first time taking care of one, he couldn't be sure but judging from the leaves and stem, it needed more sunlight.

Tenshi thought about it as he stood up, maybe it was because of the Chakra in the air? Should he open a window to get more air inside? He wondered if Sage Chakra would be better for the plants.

You know, the environment of the Coffee plants changed all sorts of flavors for the Beans! It was a relatively long process to get the dark beans. First the plant had to mature, then it would bloom beautiful white flowers in separate pods. These pods would turn into little green berries. After that they would ripen to a bright red color, however yellow could be collected as well.

Only after all this, could you collect the berries, take the seeds out from the berry, dry and roast them. Then you would have the actual coffee beans.

Naturally coffee beans don't just grow on trees ready to be consumed on the spot!

Also from what Tenshi heard, some farmers would taste the berry to make sure the flavor was right before harvesting. He wondered if the berries could be used for something else?

He had never actually tasted a Coffee Berry before.

He rubbed the leaves slightly before putting the spray bottle back behind the counter.

Guy drank his coffee with a very happy smile. He seemed to really enjoy it! Tenshi smiled to himself, this is what he wanted. A place where people can relax and smile.

He started sweeping and asked, "Do you like it, Guy-san?" Guy gave him a thumbs up and sighed, "Yes! The first was too bitter for me, the second was much better, but this is just perfect! However, Kakashi doesn't like sweet things so I think it would be better for him to just have it normal."

Tenshi tilted his head and nodded, "I see… If you don't like the foam, there are other types." Guy smiled happily and replied "I like the foam. It's not a problem." Tenshi smiled gently and nodded, "Alright." Guy looked outside and sighed helplessly "Although, I wish I could take it with me!"

Tenshi paused and looked outside at the rising sun, he stopped and touched his chin, "I should've gotten take-out cups…" he pursed his lips, muttering "But the material can't be paper… Not like before…"

He turned to Guy and asked, "Guy-san, what sort of carryable containers are there?" Guy leaned back on the chair and held his hands on his stomach, thinking about it before replying, "Well, most use Gourds, however I've seen clay bottles. There was even one time I saw someone using scroll paper to make cups."

Tenshi squished his bottom lip, muttering "Clay bottles? I wonder how much that would cost… But the main priority should be sitting down…" he sighed to himself, not to mention… What a mess after! The Clay bottles would be everywhere in Konoha! He didn't want to create a garbage problem!

He swept and thought about it, Gourds wouldn't work… Even if he found a Gourd small enough, it would change the taste of the coffee! Paper cups would work but… It would taste better in glass, ceramic, or clay…

Tenshi was unwilling, did he really have to buy Clay bottles? He sighed to himself before pausing! He had an idea!

He turned to Guy and asked, "Guy-san, would you pay extra for a Clay bottle that you can refill? Let's say you buy a Cappuccino for 500 Ryo but it's an extra 400 Ryo for the Clay bottle, however, when you come back to refill a clay bottle, it's only 400 from then on."

Guy blinked slowly and looked troubled, asking "So cheap?" Tenshi froze, this is not cheap, okay?! An Espresso is 350 Ryo, not to mention, he was charging 900 Ryo for a single coffee! That was around 8.72$ in his last life!

That was crazy expensive for a coffee!

He said with a sigh, "Would you do this?" Guy nodded but advised with a bit of concern, "Yeah, but Tenshi… Your prices are really too low! You know, the Tea shop costs around 1500 Ryu for the same amount as an espresso!"

Tenshi was dumbfounded, shouting "1500 RYU?! THAT'S OUTRAGEOUS! DOES THE TEA CURE CANCER?!" Guy was dumbfounded, saying strangely "You can shout!?" Tenshi was stunned and looked dazed, "1500 Ryo for a 6oz cup of Tea, that's so ridiculous. You might as well rob me…" he swayed on the spot, about to collapse. What was this Village coming to? These crazy prices, this Tea must be the greatest Tea on the planet!

You know, he only made 1050 Ryo yesterday!

Fortunately, there weren't any income taxes here!

Guy was speechless, revealing "That's only the cheapest one! The Most expensive cup is 4000 Ryo." Tenshi almost had a heart attack as he muttered in a daze, "4-4-4-4-4-4000 Ryo… One cup… 4x more than I made yesterday…" His eyes were wide open but swirling in a daze.

Guy saw his eyes and jumped out of his seat in shock, "Holy!" Tenshi quickly closed his eyes and said worriedly, "Ah. Guy-san, please don't tell anyone." Guy ran over and said "That was so pretty! Show me again!"

Tenshi's lips twitched.
