What Are You?

"Oh right! Before breakfast, let me just give you a tour around our company!" Yumi told Seunghyuk excitedly and Seunghyuk just went along with Yumi, "So basically, if you still didn't catch it, our company has five floors, excluding the ground floor. The ground floor is pretty basic, it's still decorated the best among all floors though. We need to show people the best side of our company, you know?"

Seunghyuk had to smile at that, but his mind wandered to the many things he could do to change the Ground Floor to suit his taste and to benefit future developments. There were many different upgrades and updates he could think of, but all that thought led to money, which was exactly what Seunghyuk was lacking.

Yumi continued on as she dragged Seunghyuk around like he was her teddy bear, "The Ground Floor has basic counters and here's our little fountain, nothing too special. Now let's take this lift right here, it's a little bit bumpy, but...well, I guess it isn't as bumpy as when Kim Seongwon takes it!"

Seunghyuk had to laugh at that again. He was enjoying the tour Yumi was giving, it gave him so much genuine pleasure in so long, it almost felt like he stepped into a new world and was slowly getting used to his new atmosphere. As Seunghyuk was getting himself into another deep thought, the elevator door rocked open.

"Here's our first floor, nothing much, just many members hanging about here. However, the facility you should look out for on Level 1 is definitely the canteen! It's not too big but not too shabby as well! There are still members working in Level 1, but it's mostly for members to hang about and rest," Yumi explained as she closed the lift doors once again and stopped at Level 2, pressing and holding the button to open the doors, "Yep, this is Level 2 for you! Nothing much, it's just an ordinary place where members train and hone their skills. The special thing about ConcCu...I mean Legendclad, is that each member has their own designated space for them to practice! Like how everything works nowadays, the weaker ones get smaller rooms and lesser facilities in their rooms, so the members with the lowest rank, Bronze Rank will be here. Just to give you some statistics, there are exactly 40 rooms in this floor."

Seunghyuk looked closely at every angle, realising almost every member was busy in their own rooms. The rooms itself have their lower halves covered up with some wood planks and the upper half being empty, and some rooms have their curtains drawn. Like Yumi had said, the rooms are really small on this floor, looks like the Stone rank members are not having the best treatment here. Once Seunghyuk was done looking, he signalled for Yumi to move on, which she gladly did.

"Okay! Next, we have the third floor! Also, more statistics...We have 20 rooms here! The rooms here are better than the ones in Level 2, much bigger and have more facilities. One big addition here would definitely be the soundproofing on the walls here, that's why this floor is much quieter compared to the other floors. Yep, and the members on Level 3 are members in the Silver Rank. Members here either have more experience, or they are more talented in their respective abilities! Yeah!" Seunghyuk listened to Yumi carefully as he scanned the surroundings, "Okay, let's move on then! Actually, the Level 4 only has 10 rooms. The members here are in the Gold Rank, which is the highest rank any member could get unless they go higher to become Member Managers or Secretaries, which I took the job of Secretary. The members here probably have stats nearly equal than Kim Seongwon, but its due to Kim Seongwon's years of experience that the members still could not land a hand on him."

Seunghyuk nodded briefly and when the elevator opened to Level 5, his eyes widened in surprise. It looks sparkling clean, and everything was arranged properly. This was a quiet, spacious and clean space which was nothing like his own apartment. Seunghyuk stepped out of the lift and Yumi followed behind promptly.

"So this is the Leader's Room..." Seunghyuk asked and came face to face with two stern-looking Conquerors, "Yumi, care to explain this?"

"Ah! These two Conquerors aren't really members of the company, their more of the company's guards. All members are allowed to enter and exit all floors as they please, but when lower ranked members enter higher ranked floors, they would get asked for a reason, other than that, all members can freely enter every floor of the building. All except for Level 5, the Leader's Room. Unless one has permission directly from the leader, they are not supposed to enter the floor without reason. Yep, that's all! I mean, now that you're the leader, you could change all these rules!" Yumi finished her tour and she seemed out of breath but still happy in a way as she walked past the guards which let her in easily.

"I'm not going to change any of the rules soon..." Seunghyuk walked past the guards and they bowed respectfully which was all strange and unfamiliar to Seunghyuk, "If there is a need, then I'll really have to, but now let's keep it as it is. Any pressing issue that Legendclad faces and needs to be resolved?"

"There is one," Yumi thought shortly and said, " We need to run tests for you! You're a really strange Conqueror, I guess in a good way? Yeah..."

Seunghyuk was dragged again like a ragdoll all the way into another room in the Leader's Room. Seunghyuk admired his surroundings again and was fazed. The many technological items and equipments dotted the room. Seunghyuk could already think of many, many ways he could train himself with all these equipments here.

"First things first, let's get your shirt off!" Yumi sounded excited but Seunghyuk was definitely taken aback by her straightforwardness and kept his embarrassment deep inside him, "Quickly, this is important!"

"The skill Heart of Cold Steel has been activated."

"The skill Heart of Cold Steel has been activated numerous times. Heart of Cold Steel has been upgraded, currently two out of five stars."

"Fine, I'll take it off," Seunghyuk replied to Yumi as calmly as he could, removing his jacket and pulling his shirt over his head, which quickly after that, Yumi's face slowly turned red, "Yumi, are you okay?"

Yumi kept shaking her head to keep herself focussed, but she could not contain herself and ran her soft fingers cross Seunghyuk's abdominals muscles and wrapped another hand around Seunghyuk's biceps. Yumi immediately jumped backwards like a cat that touched water when she realised what she was doing, but with the help of Seunghyuk's Heart of Cold Steel skill, Seunghyuk remained unfazed as he set his shirt and jacket down neatly.

"Okay!! Second things second, we...we...ahem, we have to test your strength, agility, defense and MP, " Yumi told Seunghyuk as she slowly stabilised her shaky voice, and immediately she pulled the long wire of sensing pads over to her, sticking then carefully on Seunghyuk's body points, trying her best not to turn beet red again, "Yeah! That should be able to test your stats! Now, there's this punching-bag like thing that is connected to the sensors on your body called a Strength Bag, which could take up to a 25-strength-stat reading without breaking apart! Go on and punch it as hard as you can!"

"Okay, I guess I'll see how accurate this is..." Seunghyuk stood with his knees slightly bent, breathing in and out as he steadied himself, "Okay, hhargh!"

Seunghyuk activated his Short-Fused Explosion as he watched his stats shoot up by 4.

With temporarily upgraded stats, he threw his strongest punch he could deliver and smacked the Strength Bag fiercely as he let out a strong shout. The Strength Bag vibrated slightly due to the hit and slowly started to calculate the strength of Seunghyuk's punch.

"Wow...I can't believe this, you're only newly-awakened and your Strength stat is at 15.6! I don't know why it has a decimal point, but I guess you must have poured a lot of stat points into Strength itself, right?" Yumi asked as she recalibrated the Strength Bag, "If not, then there's a problem with the machine or maybe with you! Yeah...it's a joke—"

"Maybe I really have a problem..." Seunghyuk interrupted Yumi as he looked at his fists, "My Strength stat is only 12 at most, even with my stat-increasing skill...There must be a problem somewhere."

"There's no way the Strength Bag has a problem," Yumi stripped down to her exercise gear swiftly and stuck more sensing pads onto her body, Seunghyuk remained calm with the help of his skill, "I shall TEST IT!"

Yumi punched the Strength Bag with all her might, even her fist was shaking when she delivered the punch. Yumi quickly checked the reading when she stabilised herself, and looked back up at the topless Seunghyuk with her brows furrowed in perplexity.

"Let's try the others..." Yumi tried to calmly say but she brought different equipments to Seunghyuk and made Seunghyuk test them all, including the Endless Loopmill for Agility stat-testing, Training Fist for Defense stat-testing and the Mana Sphere for MP stat-testing, "But there's no way..."

Seunghyuk got even more curious and impatient but Yumi had to try all the equipments once again and roughly plucked off the sensing pads off her body roughly when she was done with everything.

"Hey, Seunghyuk. Tell noona seriously, what are you? Your recorded stats are always at least 3 to 4 points higher than your actual stats!" Yumi was panting as she spoke to Seunghyuk in a solemn tone, but Seunghyuk only looked to the family ring on his finger and thought.
