9.Three Star Knight

It's been about a month since Samuel entered the Capital City of Valta and has been training extensively for almost about 18 hours a day.

The people passing by qnd other local swordsman training were literally in awe watching this 12 year old young man having such terrifying work ethic.

While training there were frequent requests for duels from other nearby swordsman in the training ground.

Samuel didn't reject their request's as friendly duels are one of the ways to improve your swordsmanship and gain experience.

"Are you ready Kid ?" A young man around the age of 30 asked Samuel.

Samuel slightly nodded his head before he gently grasped his sword prepared his stance.

The challenger dashed towards Samuel, as he swinged his giant Great sword as he performed a diagonal slash to disarm Samuel of his sword.

Samuel immediately took a step back and parried the incoming attack with a diagonal slash of his own.

~CLASH~

As the two swords clashed, the force produced immediately pushed them back.

The challenger was pushed couple of steps back, while Samuel took dozens back, before he fell straight to the ground.

The challenger didn't missed this opportunity and dashed straight towards Samuel with a sword pointing towards him.

Samuel immediately got up and fixed his position to block the incoming attack.

~Clang~Clang~Clang~

Multiple sword strikes fell straight towards Samuel as he tried to block them with all his might.

As those constant barrages made Samuel's hand numb as he lost finally lost the strength to grip his sword and dropped it.

While looking at the giant sword placed In his shoulders, Samuel Murmured.

"I lost."

The challenger took the giant sword back placed it in his sheath before giving a hearty laugh.

"Why are you making such a sad look kid ?, when I was your age I barely knew how to hold a sword."

Samuel didn't say anything but slightly bowed his head and replied

"Thank you for the guidance."

The person in front of him was a '3 Star Knight', and having a spar with him gave Samuel general idea of two things he was lacking the most.

'Experience' and 'Physic'.

In a span of month he had dozens of matches with his fellow sword practitioner's. While winning a few and losing a few constantly but each duel gave Samuel a new Understanding and inept of Swords that he previously lacked.

'I See I could use it like that. If I gave a bit flexibility to my wrists I could have countered that.'

'Ah! I should have worked on my footwork' Different Ideas exploded in Samuel's mind after Competing in more than a dozen of duels.

He performed the 8 stance of Basic Swordsmanship while applying all the experience he gained over the last month and noticed how his sword moved more fluidly and his execution and aquaracy increased exponentially. While his speed and strength almost doubled from before.

'Ding Ding'

"Huh ! What was that ? Did that voice come from that medallion."

Samuel held his Copper Badge while looking at it curiosily as he tried to figure out the cause of the sound a sudden golden Screen appeared im front of him.

Samuel was in a daze for about a minute after finally getting the grasp of his situation.

"Is this because of this Badge. I see that man was not lying when he said it's an magic Item"

"That sound must be because I became a Three Star Knight" While understanding his situation he thought 'I think I can control it with my thought '

Just then the golden screen disappeared in front of his eyes as if it was never there.

While looking over his situation Samuel didn't give much thought about it and had no intention of celebrating his new Rank promotion either and started swinging his sword as he has no intention of slacking his practice as the entrance exams are just two weeks away from now.

Two weeks passed by in a Blink of an eye and their was not much of a change in his schedule.

"Hey! Samuel It's today right ? your entrance exam."

"Good Luck kid we are rooting for you"

"Go get it kid. If a Genius and hardworking kid like you can't get in then I better stop practicing sword from now on "

For the last One and a Half month Samuel has spent most of his time in this training ground and has gotten accquainted to all the nearby Local swordsman here.

Looking at their friendly warm gazes and encouraging words Samuel smiled while and said

"Thank you all for taking care of me all this time I will try my best to not disappoint you expectations. "

With his last greetings and new firm determination Samuel headed to the entrance examination located right in the centre of the city.
