8. Bounty Hunters

"Listen the Knights templar is already busy with maintaining Order throughout the Kingdom."

Samuel nodded instinctively while listening to that statement as he thought about those knights not caring about their surroundings even while he was roaming around them with such shabby appearance.

"That's why there's a separate union created throughout the Azaroth Continent especially for this Kind of job"

While giving a nod Samuel understood the general gist of the situation

"So it's a Union created for Mercenaries"

While listening to Samuel's statement receptionist shook his head and said

"Close enough But not exactly. It doesn't matter If you're a Noble, a Knight or a Commoner as long as you have a required qualification and if your willing you can be a bounty hunter."

"Huh but why would nobles need to do this kinds of stuff "

"Kid you Don't know anything about the world do yo ? Do you really think all the nobles in this world are wealthy ? "

This statement caused a serious existential crises on Samuel as all the nobles he has seen in his life are wealthy enough to the point that it could be called absurd. while looking at Samuel who was a giving a complete blank look he laughed and said

"You are Completely ignorant about the world around you aren't you ? The amount one can earn through this bounty are enough to entice even those rich nobles. "

"Most of these bounties comes directly from the Royal Family or Higher Nobles to solve the issue when they are too busy or unable to solve on their own."

Listening till this point Samuel understood the gist of these bounty hunter's

"I see thank you for explaining to these ignorant me " Samuel said while slightly bowing his head to show his gratitude.

"Ahh ! Don't be so Formal it's Cringy here a total of 100 Gold Coins for these Bandits you brought and the one you killed had a bounty of 200 gold Coins placed by Viscount Nephron"

After writing all these details down the receptionist handed down a total of 240 Gold coins to Samuel.

"Since you Don't have a Bounty Hunter's Badge nor are you an official Knight of this kingdom we have to deduct 20% as a Tax"

"I recommend you to go to the Bounty Hunter's Office and get an official Badge "

Samuel nodded his and said

"Got it thank you senior "

With some light greetings he exited the Knight's Office and the first thing he was going to do was look for an Inn. he was craving for a good bath and a good rest which he hasn't gotten any of those for a while now.

After booking a room and taking a warm bath he jumped right into the bed as he fell unconscious due to excessive amount of fatigue he gathered throughout the journey.

"Huh how long was I asleep ?" as Samuel got up from his bed washed himself up headed down while greeting the innkeeper

"Ohh! Thank god you're alright. You didn't Come out of the room for two consecutive day's I was worried if something happened to you "

"No! No! I am fine thank you for you're concern"

Samuel replied embarrassingly. While he understood why the innkeeper was worried as he entered his Inn completely covered in blood.

While he started heading out and his destination was the Bounty hunter's Office.

The Bounty hunter's Office was completely different from the Knight's Templar as its not a majestic tower reaching towards the sky nor spacious enough for hundreds of people to walk together but a simple tavern with a strong spell of beer lingering throughout this place.

While the place was practically empty with a Bulky Middle aged Man sitting in the reception hall while chunking a glass of beer which looks bigger than his face and reading a newspaper and grumping as if he is annoyed of something.

"Hello ! I want to register myself as a Bounty hunter " Samuel said as clearly as he possibly could

Hearing this he gave a glance towards the young man in front of him and passed a translucent crystal in front of him.

"Put a drop of your Blood in the Crystal "

Samuel did as he said and the Crystal turned into a transparent mirror and a simple square shaped medallion popped out of it.

"Here's Its your Bounty hunter's Badge as well as your Identification card "

"Now listen Carefully I am only Going to say this Once. That Badge is your proof as a Bounty hunter if you die that Badge's gonna disappear and you can't carelessly hand it Over to other's"

Samuel gave a nod to show he understood as the middle aged man continued

"That Badge is a magical device and it will promote your Rank if you satisfy the given requirement"

"What are the requirements for Ranking up" Samuel hurridely asked.

"I was getting at it.Don't interrupt me you brat. If you possess the required strength the badge will give you a promotional mission and if you are successful in completing it you will be promoted to next Rank "

"Now the Ranks are divided in Various group to begin with Copper Rank which you Currently are to Bronze Rank , Silver Rank , Gold Rank , and lastly Diamond Rank "

"Now that I explained everything to you Scram now Don't waste my time anymore. "

"Yes, ah! thank you " while saying that Samuel hurridely left the building. while holding a dim copper medallion in his hand.

'That was one rude of a person No wonder the place is so empty' Samuel thought. He always grew up sheltered inside his estate without ever taking foot in the outside world and then when he did he noticed there are lot's of thing's he didn't know about and even people with a lot of different nature but he shrugged it off as it didn't change what he as to do as he walked towards the training ground located in the Capital to do what he loves to do the most.

Author's Note :- From now on Knight's Office would be called Knight's Templar and Bounty Hunter's Office as Hunter's Guild
