Daniel had a perplexed expression all over his face, as he glanced towards the sword that was hanging on his waist with a pitiful expression.

'Tell him that your master is not willing to meet anyone, but he is more than willing to sell the recipe.' Max Newman instructed him.

Daniel followed his sword companion's instruction and said

"My master is busy researching, unfortunately he won't be able meet you."

Listening to this the Alchemists shoulders drooped

" But before leaving he did instruct me to sell his recipe , at a right price of course "

The Alchemist had a look of disbelief all over his place, If someone asked what's the most valuable asset of an Alchemist, there's no hint of doubt , they will reply 'recipe'.

Cause it's there livelihood, which is passed only to their direct descendent or trusted disciples.

In most cases , Alchemist won't even reveal their recipes , even when they die.

"Are you serious ?" Alchemist exclaimed, because if he got his hand on this recipe, he would be able to directly advance to level 3 Alchemist.

Daniel didn't bother repeating his words and just gave a nod.

"The bottle of healing potion that you bought, is around 40-50 Gold Coins in market price. I'll offer you around 30,000 Gold Coins in cash along with my house and this shop which is worth around 10,000 Gold Coins."

Daniel just listened to those absurd figure coming out of these Alchemists mouth In a daze.

"But I have one Condition" the Alchemist added before finishing his sentence.

"What ?" Daniel asked curiously.

" I want an exclusive Contract, that this particular recipe should never be sold to anyone else. "

Daniel didn't say anything and just glanced at the rusty old sword hanging on his waist.

'It's Fine, Sell it.' Max Newman replied without even a hint of hesitation.

Daniel followed through his instruction and completed the deal with the Alchemist.

Max Newman didn't really cared about that particular recipe, it could be considered a heaven's defining recipe for that Alchemist, but for him who was the greatest Alchemist of his era, it was nothing but a vile of green water.

"What am I gonna do with it ? " Daniel exclaimed in front of a neat two stored house, with a small shop attached to it.

"Burn it down for firewood, you stupid moron, what exactly is the house for ?, Don't you even know that" Max Newman growled as he shook his nonexistent head.

"Aah!, no what am I gonna tell my parents " Daniel inquired.

"Right, I almost forgot about them , Just tell them you found some kind of rare herb and you sold it to the Alchemist."

"Is there any herb that's worth more than an entire house " Daniel quickly refuted.

"Haah , there are some that's even worth a few cities " Max Newman replied.

"Just do as I say."

Daniel gave a nod, and after Daniel's parents came back to their run down house, Daniel greeted his parents, and explained the events transcribed according to Newman's instruction.

At first his parents refused to believe him, but after showing the deed of the house and the money he recieved , they had a shocked expression, before becoming elated of their sudden turn of fortune.

If they knew the one responsible for it was that shabby rusty sword hanging on their son's waist.

They would have created an altar for it, and would have forced their descendants to kneel and pray in front of this valiant and magnanimous, rusty sword.

So they continued with their act of ignorance, as that was something neither Daniel nor Max Newman want to go through.

Soon the words spread through out the entire village ,about how a child of a serf managed to struck gold, by finding a rare herb , at the outskirts of the forest.

It caused massive amount of populace trying there luck to find a herb that could also change their destiny.

That's when Max Newman gave a sudden instruction to Daniel, which he didn't really understood, but he did what he was told.

"You'll understand " Max Newman replied.

As if to prove Newman's predictions, few days later, a group of armed Knight's gathered outside Daniel's new owned house.

"Respected Knight is something wrong " Daniel's father inquired with a frightful look on his face.

"You bastards , you dared to steal from the Lord of this Estate, and you have the nerve to ask if something's wrong." the Knight growled in a loud Voice.

Everyone in Daniel's family including Daniel kneeled In the ground, pleading for their life.

"Sir Knight, the place where my son picked up the herb was outside the Estate, in the outskirts of the kingdom..."

'Refrain your father from speaking or that Knight might even kill him, tell them they can seize the house and whatever's inside them.' Max Newman murmured.

Daniel quickly followed Newman's instructions and interrupted his father's plead.

"Sir Knight , please have mercy on us , we are more than willing to empty this house and pass on the deed to the lord, as it's rightful owner."

The Knight looked at the kid infront of him and gave a nod and said

" There's someone with a working brain, Fine leave the house and pass on the deed and our benevolent lord will look past your misdeeds."

Daniel gave a deep bow before replying

"Thank you for your benevolence sir Knight."

Daniel and his family packed their luggage and darted out of that cursed house which almost cost their life.

' I guess now you understand why I told you to do that few days ago ' Max Newman said with a smug looking face.

Daniel instantly dug out a box filled with several bank notes and Coins.

It amounted exactly 30,000 Gold coins, which he recieved for Newman's recipe. A few days ago Newmann instructed him to hide all the money In the outskirts of the town, at first Daniel didn't really understand, but after this incident he felt as if this rusty sword as already predicted, these thing to happen.

When Daniel's parents learned about it they were elated, as they felt as if they were ascending to heaven after being dragged back to hell's pit.

"But I still feel wronged, about this entire incident" as they were heading out of this village Daniel silently murmured.

"Of course you were wronged, but that's how world is kid, it's exceedingly cruel."

"I think this incident will be a good lesson for you, why do you think that Lord didn't touch that Alchemist who brought the herb but you ? "

Daniel gave a deep thought before shaking his head.

"Because he is an Alchemist, a respectful and noble profession in Azaroth Continent, while you are just a nobody."

Daniel didn't try to defend himself, as after he reflected on himself and saw how much he was lacking, everything he has now was thanks to this sword, there was nothing he could call his own.

"Listen Kid, Being Born weak is not a sin , Staying weak is."

(T/N :- yup black clover reference)

"To be honest, it's particularly the fault of the system, where a person's fate is dependent on the whim of a Single person."

"5000 years ago I tried to create a republic, where rather than people's lineage, their abilities are taken account of" Newman took a pause before sighing slightly "But I realised, it wasn't something that I could achieve on my own."

"I'll do it , I'll create a nation like that. " Daniel replied unhesitatingly.

Newman looked surprised as well as shocked by this bold declaration by his wielder before replying.

"Didn't I tell you ?, It's something that can't be done alone, 5000 years ago I was the strongest person in the entire Continent even rivaling those dragon's and Gods, But I still failed."

"I'll find them. I'll look for them, they should be there somewhere around in this vast Continent, people who would share similar goal like us." Daniel replied with a blazing determination filled in his eyes.

Those blazing eyes were so strong that it even sparked the lost embers hidden deep inside Newman's heart which he thought he lost eons ago.

" But for that you have to start practicing Alchemy and swordsmanship, that I'll be teaching you from now on. "

"Yes Master Sword " Daniel replied respectful.

"Can't you just call me Newman, even after every thing we have been through" Newman growled.

Before Daniel and his family headed to a new town to start a new life.

No one knew, that this was the starting point of one of the biggest changes in the power structure of the Azaroth Continent.

As one of the four Founder of Humanity's greatest Nation, as already began his journey.
