At First Samuel thought Alex was mentioning a retired old instructor from the academy or an old Knight from the kingdom but he was proven wrong when he saw a shabby young man with dirty blonde hair and dull green eyes. he appeares to be in his late twenties and his living conditions which Samuel could describe while trying his utmost not to be disrespectful would be unhygienic.

It was a shabby run down house which wasn't cleaned properly for probably a decade. Looking at a sorry state of the house and the man himself Samuel thought Alex was playing a prank on him.

"Sir...this"

Before Samuel could say anything a growling voice came towards him.

"Why the fuck are you here ? " the man in front of him growled.

"Calm down Hemdall. I know you have been looking for a disciple all these years so I brought you one " Alex replied with a stern smile on his face.

"Hmph !!! Do you think this is some kind of charity?. I am not just gonna accept anyone just for the sake of it. "

"Atleast give him a chance to prove himself" Alex pleaded.

Listening to Alex's request hemdall gave a nod and gave a stern look to Samuel and said

"Show me what you've got"

Hearing his cold voice Samuel didn't give much of a reaction and pulled his sword out of his black sheath and prepared his stance to perform his basic swordsmanship.

Samuel performed all the eight basic moves in the swordsmanship with its utmost mastery.

as his swords moved from straight down from the top, straight up from the down, diagonal from left to down, diagonal from right to down, diagonal from down to left, diagonal from down to right, horizontal strikes and simple sword stab.

Samuel performed the basic moves of Swordsmanship Vertical slash, inverse Vertical slash, Left diagonal slash, Right diagonal slash , Inverse Left diagonal slash , Inverse Right diagonal slash, horizontal slash, sword stab.

Each of these moves are very basic but the way Samuel performed showed he had complete mastery over it and could even combine his slashes and strikes with numerous sword stabs while performing it he didn't hide his three star Knight strength and showed his entire provess in front of them.

Alex couldn't hide a shocked expression on his face as he tried his best to calm down but failed to do so.

"You.. You...how old did you say you are ?" Alex scowled with an astonishing look on his face.

"I am 12, I would be turning 13 in couple of months." Samuel replied honestly.

"Haah! a Three Star Knight at the age of 12. look you grumpy bastard I just handed you a genius a fucking genius" Alex sneered at hemdall as he couldn't believe his luck as he was just trying to gamble if he could help turning this young man's fate a bit but it turned out he was looking at a dragon's hatchling all this time who would for sure soar to heavens and if he kept a good connections with him then in future he won't be looked down upon as a mere lowly examiner.

While thinking about his possible future Alex grinned profusely but the person beside him gave no heed to it as he was watching the entire scenario with no emotion on his face.

'Huh ! why is this grumpy guy silent ? did this kid's talent made his speechless' Alex thought

"Alex you can leave now, I need to talk to this young man for a bit " Hemdall said without showing any emotion to his face.

"Yes Yes, I am leaving I am sure you need to talk to your disciple alone. " Alex grinned a bit before taking is leave.

While only two them remained in that place there was a eerie of silence for a minute before a cold voice resonated from hemdall

"You know you're talent is just above average right "

Listening to this remark Samuel had a shocked expression at first but he calmed himself down and replied

"Yes I do"

Samuel replied while accepting hemdall's criticism.

"So tell me why exactly should I take you in ? Because you are hardworking?, there are tens of thousands of people who are hardworking what makes you any different from them ? , What makes you so special ?."

While looking straight at hemdall's scrutinising cold eyes Samuel replied

"I am not Special. I never considered myself special either and you're right there are tons of people like me out there but what I can promise you is as long as I am here I will give my all and as for the matter of whether accepting me or not it's entirely upto you, there's nothing I could do about it."

Hemdall gave a deep look to Samuel while contemplating whether this young man really meant what he just said.

After a long silence hemdall gave a cough and replied

"Fine but it's not gonna be easy I am going to throw you through the gates of hell, if that's what it takes to achieve my goal."

" Goal ? What's that ?" Samuel asked with a confused look on his face.

Hemdall gave a creepy grin on his face, it was the first time Samuel saw such a huge change in his expression.

"I want you to enter the ' Azaroth Sword Tournament' in seven years from now. "
