Fool Moon

Lionheart was a very strong and handsome young man, he was the true description of a macho man, the entire school knew him to be an exceptionally strong young man. "Simba," as they will often call him, though he was incredibly polite, he was still extremely temperamental. No one dares to offend or stand on his wrong foot. Though Obiagu enjoys the reputation of the strong courageous man in the school, he still could not find the courage to approach Precious and express to her his true feelings. Lionheart had remained sole and available all his stay in school not because he couldn't get any other girl aside from Precious but because he believed that one day he will win her over, and he just didn't want her to have a reason to why she can't date him when he will ultimately conjure the courage to address her. There were a handful of girls on the campus who will do anything to have him as their man, not excluding Solace the Que, who had not failed to seize any chance to make himself spotted in the sight of Lionheart. Aside from the fact that Lionheart was a very handsome young man, he was also one of the most brilliant in school, he was known as a Distinction student. Sometimes Precious will intentionally tease him to accept one of the girls who flocked around him, but he will always say to her that he got no time for girls.

"Presh, you already know me by now, I got no time for girls." So he will often assert.

Lionheart was known among his friends to have this odd tradition of disappearing every night of the full moon and returning looking all dirty, always very dirty with mud all over him and in his nails, sometimes he gets some cuts on his body.

He wasn't like that from conception, that disappearing personality was a new one which he added to his kart of freakiness. Obiagu was in fact a real freak, but even though he was oddly unique, his friends still loved him nonetheless, they had constantly defended him regardless, both in his presence and in his absence, especially Precious who knew firsthand, that he will do the same for her without thinking it over.

"Let him be, he is my freak." So Precious will often say whenever anyone says anything that she finds unacceptable against Lionheart who had proven to be her hero in many ways. Lion had always taken the concerns of Precious and Love personally especial that of Precious. Because of Lionheart, many guys had to stay off the track of Precious, and she love it that way, she was the kind of girl who never wanted anything to do with any guy while she was still in school.

"I don't want any guy, for now, I just want to focus on my studies, at least, that is the thing that brought me here, isn't it?"

So she will often say. That very night, many students from Rossville University, also known as Ross-Uni patronizes the Deep Bite Barbecue Joint which was also known to the students as the DBBJ. These students often sat under the massive canopy which was under the open sky. So, that night, the students sat under the same canopy which sat under the watchful eyes of the territorial moon. The night was very bright, so luminous that some students had to make funny jokes saying that the voltage was pretty high in heaven. "Up NEPA", they often said jokingly to themselves. It was quite a rosy night, the twinkling stars had all gone hiding, paving way for their presumed mother to reign and conquer the night.

"That Lionheart of a boy, one day I will sneak and follow him to that place where he often goes to most nights, especially during the full moon like this, for a fact, has any of you noticed that he is never with us during any full moon? This Lionheart that calls himself Simba must really explain to us where he goes these nights, for me, I believe that he often sneaks to meet his secret girlfriend, that is why I will surely sneak up on him and know who this girl is. I wonder why he has to hide her from us." Jasmine announced to her friend Love, she said this wearing a very momentous look. That night, Lionheart who was known as Simba also was discovered by his friends, particularly Precious, he was detected behaving strangely before he eventually disappeared to where ever it was that he spends his full moon.

"Hmm... Actually, I can't say that he is going to meet or see any girl, I don't even think that he has a girlfriend." Love mumbled as usual in his defence.

"Oh, so? Where can you explain that he often goes? No answer me, so, is he a witch? Oh, he must be a wizard who sneaks to their coven every night of the full moon to do their witchy dance. No, tell me, since you are now the one that knows best, Mrs Noah." Precious said in an attacking tone. But Love who was a very observant person already comprehended the feelings that Lionheart has towards Precious their mutual friend. Though Love had always strived to make Precious see the true motive behind all the selfless kindness and generosity of Lionheart the Simba towards her, Precious still decided on being blind about the whole thing. She, Precious only saw Simba as a friend and that's all, a best friend who will go through any mile just to keep her comfortable and protected.

"Common Lion, why not walk up to her and tell her your mind? Why are you behaving like you are not a man? you have better don't make me call you sterile." So she often chides him to see if he will actually accomplish the needful.
