Chapter 127, Dino

We stood there, staring at each other till the man, with a bright smile approached us. Despite the others misgivings, I felt no ill intentions coming from the man before us. However... this man is overflowing with Vi as if he is loved by Fleur as well. Just what is he?

"Can we help you?" Mao asked.

"My Flower, my name is Dino Diamond, the Fourth Crown of the Crest of Ancients." The man smiled as he hugged me suddenly. "Please call me Dino."

"Crest of Ancients?" Yuuki asked.

"They're a group of people who worship the Five Ancients, the one who are the source of our powers." Van who was with Zander and the others said as they joined us. "I was wondering where this power was coming from. It came from Dino."

"Van, you know this person?" Mayumi asked.

"Were old friends. I was raised by the Crest of Ancients." He answered as they gathered together. "I grew up within the Crest and was later taken in by the Previous Le Livre and succeeded him."

As the others began to lower their guards, I recalled why we came here. Where is the crystal that Karin stabbed me with? I need to know why my power is being weakened.

"You're looking for this?" He asked as he held the crystal.

"Yes." I answered and he gave it to me.

As I wondered what the gem was, the man simply smiled brightly as he stared at me. At first, I was a bit scared but it seems to be his habbit. If Van says he is a friend then I'll gladly be friendly with him too.

"Van, can you identify this?" I asked him.

Van who took the stone passed it between his hands for a while before he stopped and nodded.

"It's a Slayer Stone." Van answered and the others tilted their heads. "Stones with the ability to steal and seal a person's power inside them."

"Is something wrong?" Will asked.

"It seems my power has been weakened." I replied. "It's been happening since I woke up."

"If you were stabbed by it, it's likely that it's absorbing your powers." Dino answered. "There are ways to stop this but the fastest would be... to purify the stone."

"Purify it? How?" Touya asked.

"May I?" He asked and took the stone from Van. "We can't break it because it'd only keep on devouring the Fleur's power."

"Can you do it?" I asked him and he nodded.

"Fleur, the Ancient of life, and the Eight Blades to stand beside her, I plead to you, grant your light upon these hands and dispell the darkness." Dino chanted and a light shined and the crystal became nothing more than a rock. "That should do it."

"What was that spell just now?" Leon asked.

"Ancient Magic, Plead." I answered. "It is an ancient spell. A very old form of magic for what it's worth. Unlike spells that use Vi, they use their belief in the Ancients as the source of their power."

"There are five main chants that may adjusted or even be recreated inorder to cast spells. But, as it is ancient magic, people's have forgotten about it." Zander stated. "But it is very powerful and far stronger than the spells we use today."

"What concerns me now is how Karin got her hands on the Slayer Stone." Van said.

"Ah, Peridot gave it to her." Dino said.

"Peridot?" I asked.

"Someone who used to be a member of the Crest but became a heretical. I don't know what he's scheming but his target seems to be Le Fleur." Dino answered. "I think he goes by the name Pierot or something."

"Pierrot!" Van exclaimed.

"What?" I asked.

"Karin was muttering that name after our interrogation of her." Van stated.

"Just who is he?" Andrew asked.

"As I said, a former Crest Crown that turned against the order. He seems to be after the Le fleur." He answered. "I came here for two reasons, to meet the Le Fleur and hunt him down."

I suggested that we head inside to talk more and everyone agrees.

"Tch. Karin was failure but maybe the Nine Tailed Calamity will work out. After all, he may have gone against me but I can still control him." Pierrot laughed like the clown he is.

The man laughed and laughed. He had been pulling the strings behind everything so far. The Nine Tailed Calamity's appearance and his actions, as well as the Terminators appearing in the battlefield.

This man, his goal was only, to gain the power of the Le Fleur. For this, he would not hesitate to take the lives of others and even sacrifice them.

While the man was working out the next part of his plan, the Nine taield Calamity along with Addy and eddy were preparing the next step of their plan.

"Addy, Eddy, how are thing coming along?" The man asked the two.

"Everything is going as planned. Many of the islands are rising to the sky and we expect it to be done within five days." Addy answered.

"However, it seems the piece that master wishes to use, the individual Karin has been detained for attempting to take the power and life of the Le Fleur." Eddy reproted and the man's eyes glared.

"Whatever. Leave her be." He answered. "It doesn't matter anymore. We are nearly nearing the end. The pieces are nearly in place."

He laughed as he rejoiced by the fact that everything was coming along as he wished not knowing that Pierrot was controlling him behind the scenes. Pierrot who laughed at their futile struggles simply seeking the Le Fleur's power.

He was slowly falling into insanity as the power he held slowly currupted him. The power which was planted in him by Pierrot. Slowly changing him, fromnthe kind man he was before. His two servants could only do as he told them and say nothing else. This man, that was once and is the Beacon. Licht Rays.
