As the dust slowly settled, the dragon's eyes darted around, his entire body coiled with tension, ready to react at a moment's notice as he searched for his enemy.
He immediately noticed the single hammer lying on the scorched ground, its glow mostly diminished.
'His hammer? Could he be really defeated so fast?' Expanding his domain, the dragon tried to sense the god, but there was nothing; it was as if he had simply vanished. There wasn't even an XP message or notification from the system.
'Are you perhaps trying some trick?'
He still couldn't fully believe it, remembering the strange actions of the god and the nearly undetectable agent of purity he had fought before.
At last, the dragon folded his wings and landed with a resonating quake, the shockwave of his landing shattering the already-destroyed landscape even further. He tried to look leisurely and calm as he took a step closer to the hammer.
