LAIA WAS VERY TEMPTED to smack Jake in the head when he started being adamant about making them go home for the day.
They were having the time of their lives watching the most random of movies when everything changed after Jake received a call and returned with a torn expression on his face.
It was weird to say the least and she did not waste time as she immediately asked the boy the reason while the boy was tidying up the movie room alone since Shane and Vivi already left with perplexed looks.
"Who called you and made you like this?"
Jake feigned confusion. "Like this?"
"Cleaning out of nowhere and telling us to leave, genius," Laia couldn't restrain the sarcasm and annoyance on her voice. "We were having the time of our lives for the first time in a few months and then you're suddenly like this,"
"Nothing," Jake was quick to dismiss the girl's concerns with a wave of his hand. "I just have a friend coming over--"
