Tenebris' Ghouls

A few weeks passed after they met another duo like them. In all these days, Hakki and Akina were practicing how to use the legendary bow that Hakki had. Akina was getting more and more fit, but she still had difficulties maintaining her grades and her studious manner because her schedule is being filled up by Hakki's entrance into her life.

It was early morning, about six o'clock in the morning, to be exact. Akina had fallen down on the ground due to fatigue from jogging up and down around the park. "You good?" Hakki offered his hand to help her back up. Akina was hesitant in accepting his help but soon relented after she realized that she had no choice but to accept Hakki's hand now and for the future.

She reached out and Hakki helped her up. After hydrating herself with water, she continued running. "You know, Akina, you can take breaks, right?" Hakki asked worriedly. "I am aware. But I do not want to get caught unprepared whenever one of your kind comes swooping in." Akina replied. "I am basically running on pure fuels of spite and anger, if you ever act up I will not hesitate to take it out on you, Hakki." Hakki had a wave of fear sent down his spine as he heard what Akina said with her seriousness and tone.

Sure enough, in the dark corner and alley, there was someone creeping. Something, rather. It was far too erratic in movement and it was twitching far too much to be a human. Hakki handed Akina his bow immediately. "Show yourself." Akina Sumeragi ordered the thing which was in the shadows to show itself.

A loud growling was heard as the thing revealed itself. It looked to be a ghoul, a dark skinned ghoul which seemed to be enveloped in shadows. The pitch black skin it had made it look utterly horrifying. The only identifiable part of it was its red eyes and sharp teeth.

"Hm. What the hell is that?" Akina asked Hakki. "These are 'his' men." Hakki was alert on his feet. Even Akina was surprised as he had never been this way at all ever since they met. "Who is this 'his' fellow that you are referring to?" Akina asked him.

These shadowy ghouls could only be the product of one Kyoshi Spirit – and that is the most detestable and vilest one, Tenebris the Lux Eater." Hakki replied.

"Damn, he sounds like a big deal, even his name seems scary." Akina said as she aimed her arrow at the shadowy ghoul. With one motion of her finger, she let go of the arrow as it found its mark straight towards the ghoul's head. "Bullseye." She whispered.

"Not so easy, Akina. These things are as persistent as their master. Tch." Hakki clicked his tongue as he said that. After his words escaped his mouth, the shadowy ghoul got up slowly and removed the arrow from its head. "I am going to have to teach you a spell, Akina. Arrows cannot decimate this thing into oblivion. But my spell can." Hakki said.
