21- Ousai Vs Yanagi 1

AN: I have never thought writing basketball fanfic could be this stressful, I don't have that much knowledge of basketball and I never played competitive basketball my entire life, I do play for fun though and I was searching for ideas on the internet so my basketball knowledge is improving, well I will continue writing this fanfic but as usual, I decided to end the story in about 60 to 80 chapters.

Also, suggest what next fanfic should I write after this.

Both teams greeted each other and the game finally started, it was Ousai vs Yanagi.

The tip-off started, Akagi and Eikichi faced off at the center of the court, Eikichi was smiling like an idiot as he stared at Akagi's muscles, he was a muscle fan and an extreme one at that. (Eikichi right now is a middle schooler and not that buff either but he was a little taller than Akagi, Akagi was much more buffed than him in this timeline)

*Whistle!

The referee whistled and threw the ball for the tip-off, both centers jumped at the same time and reached out as far as they could, Ajagi's jump is higher than Eikichi despite Eikichi being more thinner on the side, of course, the reason for this was Tanaka and Hiruma's training, they have to brag about it from now and then sometimes.

Akagi tipped the ball and it went behind him but Kenma was going against a player named Sendoh, They both went for the catch but Sendoh boxed out Kenma and caught the ball, this was the show of difference in their physique.

Sendoh caught the ball and immediately rushed forward leaving his teammates and enemies, as a lockdown defender, Kuro was already in his position after the tip-off, and so when Sendoh rushed he was greeted by Kuro.

The two faced off each other, Sendoh dribbled forward and tried to do a crossover but only to be blocked by Kuro, after he failed his attempt, Sendoh didn't push forward but instead backed away and let everyone get into their position.

"Oh, that's a smart play" Tanaka praised, not everyone on their play to hold back like that.

Sendoh passed the ball to their Shooting guard and the shooting guard passed the ball to Eikichi.

Eikichi and Akagi faced off under the post, Eikichi tried to post Akagi up but no matter how he pushed Akagi back, it was not that effective as Akagi was like a wall, Eikichi didn't force it and he passed the ball to Sendoh who charged towards the paint.

Sendoh caught the ball and went for the layup but a figure appeared in front of him, it was Akagi, Sendoh spun his body mid-air and threw the ball towards the basket.

*Swoosh!

The ball went in, earning the Yanagi the first point, Tanaka was impressed with how well discipline the Yanagi team was, Tanaka turned his head to the bench of Yanagi and saw a middle-aged man with a wrinkled face, Tanaka didn't recognize the man but he respected this kind of man to train middle schoolers to be this disciplined.

The game continued, Kenma held the ball as he dribbled it forward analyzing his teammates and opponents, he made a few strategies on his mind and finally simulated what was the best, he passed the ball to Asahi who drove inside the paint towards the rim.

Asahi was met with a tall guy with white hair, he was a player named Aone, a lock-down defender like Kuro, Asahi faced off Aone and he slowed down his pace as he faced with Aone, Asahi then did a crossover and but he couldn't cross, Asahi sighed and did a step back, he then made a hesitation shot but Aone didn't fell for it but that was what Asahi wanted, he had practiced with Kuro many times and knew how lock-down defenders move.

So Asahi using the space given to him by Aone who didn't jump for the block, Asahi threw the ball towards the rim and a hand met up with the ball and slammed it on the rim.

*Boom!

The whole rim shook from Akagi's alley-oop dunk, Akagi didn't mind the move he did and returned to their defensive position, even though Akagi was still a middle schooler, his height was already comparable to the tall players on high school coupled with his jumping ability and powerful physique, he was practically invincible under the post.

Eikichi looked at Akagi in awe, "As expected, muscle is the only way!" he said loudly and laughed out loud, he then went back to his position.

The match was a neck on neck game, both teams fully went on offense and defense, but this was not going in Ousai's favor, even though they have 4 point lead, the players were getting exhausted at a faster rate and it has only been 8 minutes into the game, all players were already gasping for breath.

Tanaka immediately told Koro-sensei to call for a time-out, after the ball went out of bounce after a mistake of the Yanagi shooting forward, the referee blew the whistle for the time out, everyone gathered towards their benches and slumped down to the bench, Hiruma handed them water bottles and towels to wipe out their sweat.

Tanaka looked at his teammates, there are still 2 minutes left, he then turned towards Hiruma, "You're going to sub Kenma and increase the point lead as much as you could in 2 minutes, as for the others slow the pace and play passing" Tanaka commanded.

"Yes!" x6

*Whistle!

The time-out ended and the players entered the court, Kenma rested on the bench full of sweat, he was not that athletic, to begin with, and Tanaka was still training Kenma's unique ability, the match continued and Hiruma laughed evilly as he entered the court.

"Ya-Ha! it's time for carnage!" Hiruma said and the ball was in the Ousai's possession
