Golden Age 10: ‘Unlocking the Doors of the Next Step!! A Blasting Change for the World Kings!!’ (Part 1)

The sun shone bright as the wind ceased. The atmosphere all dry, with huge trees reflecting their shadows on the ground depicting a scorching sight. The cicadas hoping around the grassy hills made loud noises. A little further from the base the fourteen boys stood scattered on the road. Surrounded by hills from both sides. Before them, a long highway laid over on which not even a single vehicle's sight was to be seen.

Ezekiel sighing stood beside Gabriel who rested his back on a tall tree.

Heber and Azazel sat on the ground waving their hands before their faces to get even the tiniest bit of air.

Cassiel reading his book looked at Poseidon who stood alongside Xavier and Feng eyeing their watches.

Kenzo standing amid the road waited tapping his finger on his arm, restless.

Adam and Ryan picking up sticks played disturbing the cicadas as a deep sigh escaped Adam's lips, "Now let's go! On a fight against destiny!" he suddenly acted out rolling his eyes. "Say's a certain someone, who is now stuck in the middle of the road with nowhere left to go. Just, how amusing is that!" he taunted Kenzo on the grand speech he just gave a moment ago.

Ryan smirked rolling his eyes added, "Spineless king, thanks to his big words. Here we are stuck in the middle of nowhere."

Kenzo hearing their words stood with veins popping on his forehead as he patted his finger on his arm rapidly.

Soon Helios and Seraph returned taking deep breaths. "There's nothing there…" told Seraph. "Yeah, not even a single car. We looked out for thirty minutes, still no use." Helios continued.

"Of course, there won't be. No matter how famous the base is, it is still located at the outskirts of the city. None would dare come here." Cassiel came forward.

"Geez! Did it even rain before? How come it's so hot now? Even my eyes and ears are burning!" cried Azazel as Kenzo sighed.

"Come to think about it we aren't even wet now." Ezekiel touched his and Poseidon's shirts which were all dried up.

"So what should we do now? At this rate we'll really be pulling an all-nighter here." said Xavier as Poseidon and Feng tagged along. "Seriously, I don't want that!" shrieked Heber.

"If vehicles won't come here then how should we head back? It's been two hours since we left the base." asked Poseidon thinking hard. "Forget about vehicles, if we were to walk back home. I might just die. I live at the sea shore!!" Feng freaked out.

"What about you, Seraph?" asked Helios.

"In the city's center. It's not as far as Feng but not so close as well." Seraph responded. "Yeah, even we live far away. How are we supposed to walk back?" asked Ryan concerned.

"Seriously, they have no damn conscience! If they called us in a coaster then they should send us back to our academies the same way!" complained Azazel. Gabriel clicked his tongue sarcastically, "We were thrown out not asked out. How do you expect them to give us a ride, idiot."

Kenzo suddenly clicked his tongue. "Heber! Give me my phone!" he commanded. "How dare they make this King wait for this long!" he gritted vexed.

Heber hearing his words responded, "Yes, Captain…" However, his voice suddenly died down. "Your highness… our phones?" he blinked baffled.

The boys hearing his words suddenly tapped their pockets, where they kept their phones to find them empty.

"OH MY GOD?!!! We forgot our phones back at the base!!" Feng and Azazel alongside Ezekiel and Ryan shrieked.

"Oh dear…" sighed Helios as Cassiel slammed his forehead on the nearby tree.

"They took our phones the moment we arrived at the base. We hadn't had them since then. And, we even forgot to take them back. I just have my wallet and smart card with me. To think today would be the epitome of bad luck." Seraph remembered.

"Then, what about your midnight talk show, Vice-captain?" asked Ezekiel confused.

Poseidon smiled, "Oh that? I have my hand carry-radio with me. I don't have the dire need for phones." Xavier looking at Kenzo walked over, "Now what?"

To his surprise, Kenzo lifted his hand up and smacked straight over his face. "Aughhhhh…" he growled in disbelief.

Xavier along with the other stared at him surprised. "Now even this stupid king doesn't have any more ideas!! We'll surely gonna die today!!" shrieked Adam running around amok as Gabriel and Helios exhaled speechless.

Cassiel looking around in his bag called out, "Wait a minute! I think I might have something with me! Tada!!" The boys walked over. "Just what is this?" Ryan inquired utterly confused.

"A commando phone!!" Cassiel declared proudly.

Hearing the name the boys stood silent for a while. "A…ha…?" they asked speechless.

One the other hand Adam, Azazel and Heber, Ezekiel along with Feng burst out in laughter, "Haha! What the heck it that?! A commando phone!! Haha! What's with this name!" they asked back making fun of it.

Cassiel stared at them with veins popping on his forehead. "I think it is better than having nothing." he told feeling slightly offended by their laughter. "You're right. It's better than nothing." Helios concurred relieved.

"Show me." told Kenzo grabbing the phone.

Adam laughed. "Haha! This fat phone really fits him. Haha!! Fat king!!" he teased as Ryan too chuckled. Kenzo hearing them stood controlling his anger in. "Come on, leave them be. You just dial it and see if someone picks up." Gabriel interrupted.

Kenzo pressing the buttons dialed the number as the boys surrounded him in a circle. Clicking the speaker button they waited as the call rang. "Its dialing!" Heber pointed happily. "I am quite surprised. How did you even keep this phone safe from their check?" asked Xavier curious.

Cassiel smirked, "Does it even look like a phone in the first place?"

Hearing his comment Adam, Feng, Ryan, Heber, Azazel and Ezekiel once again burst out in laughter grabbing their stomachs. "Pfft!! Haha!! You're right! It isn't a phone to begin with! It's a commando! Haha!!" Heber claimed with tears in his eyes.

Xavier glancing at Poseidon and Seraph smiled awkwardly. "It's just like Kenzo!! Round and fat!" Adam laughed hard. Gabriel, Helios, Cassiel and Kenzo in the meanwhile, stared at the phone's screen seriously.

"Don't you think it's been ringing for a long while now…?" Helios whispered anxiously.

As soon as he did a woman spoke up from the phone, her voice echoing around, "Dear customer, the number you've dialed is not answering at the moment. Please try later. Dear customer, the number you've dialed is not answering at the moment… Please try…"

The boys hearing her voice stared at the phone with a blackened expression. "And… here it goes. The usual good luck message." Ezekiel stated ironically.

Helios glancing at Kenzo who was gritting his teeth in frustration patted his shoulder advising, "It's alright. Try a different number. Why don't you try calling at the academy?" Kenzo hearing his advice nodded dialing the number once again.

"Here goes the second time…" whispered Adam squishing his face over the phone.

Kenzo unable to see anything slammed his face on it, "Just go inside it already, fool!!" Adam's face which was slammed over the phone stood up crying with a red nose.

"Waah!! Sera! Sera! He just hit me! This monkey, Wannabe, stupid king. Go hit him back now!!" he cried running towards Seraph. Seraph patted his head, "Come on now don't disturb him. You want to go back home don't you? If he doesn't call over, then we can't go back. That's why don't distract him okay...?"

"But he hit me!!" Adam retorted.

Admitting defeat Seraph endorsed, "Alright, alright, I'll hit him back okay? Now don't shout." Adam relived gleamed, "Yeah, smack him in the face, hit his head on the phone and throw him over the stadium as a six!" he assumed while Seraph sighed.

Kenzo dialing another number clicked the call button. Turning the speakers on, they heard the bell ringing. "It's dialing… don't worry someone will definitely pick it up now." Xavier encouraged. The boys surrounding the phone gulped, suddenly someone picked up. "Someone picked up!" cheered Azazel as Kenzo grinned proud.

However, the moment he did another voice came from the phone. "Dear customer, you have insufficient balance to proceed with the incoming call. Kindly recharge your balance with Utunes. Dear customer, you have insufficient balance to proceed with the incoming call…."
