Synopsis

"World conquest was never part of the plan." Yu Chen was just an ordinary programmer, slaving away at his desk, fixing bugs for a popular kingdom-building game. His life was a cycle of endless work, sleepless nights, and little appreciation. One fateful night, while struggling to fix a game-breaking bug that granted players an absurd amount of upgrade points, his exhausted heart gave out. But death wasn't the end for Yu Chen. He awoke in a world strangly familiar... he had transmigrated into the very game he had been working on, now inhabiting the body of a notorious tyrant emperor, Arkanos Bloodbane, whose empire was on the brink of destruction. Surrounded by enemies, with rebellions simmering within and war on every front, Yu Chen, now Arkanos, quickly realizes the gravity of his situation. But to his shock, he discovers that he still has access to the game's system interface—complete with the million upgrade points from the bug he had tried to fix! With his knowledge of game mechanics, strategic mind, and a wealth of upgrade points, Arkanos sets out to turn the crumbling empire into an unstoppable force. He begins by summoning legendary heroes, deploying advanced technologies never before seen in this world, and revolutionizing his military and infrastructure. As he pushes his empire to greatness, Arkanos must navigate the treacherous politics of the imperial court, fend off treacherous factions, and outmaneuver the rival nations that seek to destroy him. But with each victory, he realizes that this world is not just a game—it's his new reality. The stakes are higher, the dangers more real, and the consequences of failure more dire than ever. my time has come, young padawans, to write an honest review of the novel as my promise to congratulate the novel getting 10 chapters. what to say about the novel, it's world building, for now is very lackluster but that is bound to change in the next chapters for a simpler worldbuilding and during the volume that it's to come, probably towards the end of it, the worldbuilding will be at least partially displayed. updating stability is not the best, but the author makes up for it making mass releases, tho I doubt it will keep being like this once the novel is contracted. in regards to character design, the character that I'd like to talk more about is not mc, but his guard. she is a well thought out character with a good built-in personality and reverence for mc and is probably the most loyal subject, and probably significant other (I ship them for now, tho I wouldn't mind if they both end up with their own so instead of eachother). regarding story development, there was some when they talked about the politics surrounding mc's previous body owners' bad decisions regarding basically everything his job as an Emperor allowed. it does feel quite slow for now as the while 10 chapters where centered around the same fight against the damn Mythical snake, but I do understand it's significance to the story so I won't complain much about it. I hope the novel does get a decent pace going instead of just 1-2 of stuff happens, then a huge time-skip, and the same thing again. a lot of things can happen in 2 days of course, but it's important for normal things to happen too, instead of just skipping to the important plot related stuff. all in all just try to focus more on secondary stuff from time to time in order to make the novel feel more light, maybe give mc a hobby and make him a carpenter or a sewer, something interesting like that could add some spice and something relatable to it too to engage readers. just give the novel a try and I'm sure author won't disappoint you.
