Chapter 31- Back To Work...

<Please leave a review! 🥺💘><Im back after Hiatus people get on the reading wagon>

After the last few eventful days I had almost forgotten that I had a match today, I woke up late and didn't realize it until my reminder went off, to pack my spare boots. I ran around the house, biting toast, packing my kit, and running out of the apartment into the garage where the G wagon was lying in a slumber.

I revved up the engine and wheel-spinned my way out of the lot and down to Old Trafford where the team bus was ready, I wasn't late but I did miss the original brief from Ten Hag, I walked confidently into the crowd of our players, shouldering my kit bag and wearing shades, "You guys have passed the test, strong even without your captain being there!"

"Shut up Adri, we know you slept in!"

"Shut up Casi, what do you know?"

We laughed our dispute off clambered into the team bus and settled in for the drive, we were to face a strong side today, they have been hit recently with some unfortunate bad form, but are overall a decent team, definitely capable of putting up a fight if they were facing any other team, Tottenham Hotspur. (*Kane is still at Spurs in this ff*).

I braced myself for the match, this wouldn't do wonders for the relationship between Harry Kane and me, but needs must come first, we cannot afford to lose or draw any more matches, there is only around a month and a half left of the season, we have to hold on to this position. I pulled up the old Geezer's stats:

Harry Kane:

Pos: St/Cf

OVR: 96

Pac: 90

Sho: 99

Dri: 97

Pas: 98

Phy: 96

Def: 89

Goals/Assists Season League: G18/A4

The man had impressive stats but he was an old guy and his style of play restricted his potential way more than he realized, he waits for passes, but the teams he plays for are not that adaptive to his style of play, I feel like he would do well at City, with strong midfielders like KDB and Rodri, don't tell Casi I said that...

Then again, not everything is about stats, it is about drive and adaptability, I pulled up my stats to gaze at on the iPad attached to the seats on the team bus:

I pulled up my stats and was surprised to see a stat increase:

Player: Adrian Randin

Pos: St, Cf, Cam

OVR: 93

Pac: 99

sho: 96

dri: 98

pas: 92

phy: 92

def: 87

Goals/Assists Season League: 20 Goals and 6 Assists.

I hope I can make a difference in the game today I looked down the middle of the bus and saw everyone distracted in their busy lives, there was not a shred of worry, we weren't being cocky, as a great Mexican striker once said, Football is life! It is like breathing for us.

As we ran laps on the "New white hart lane," the boos and chants were louder than ever, especially the certain Spurs fans that thought that I was in the wrong in my dispute with Kane. they liked voicing their opinions, that's one way to put it...

"KANE! KANE! THE BANE OF UNITED, SHITCHESTER SHITNITED!"

Our fans were pretty impressive too despite us being on the away side, they managed to respond with our lovely chants that were only slightly offensive.

"ADRI's THE WONDER BOY, KANE IS SPURS' FUCK BOY! BROKEN LIKE A SHITTY TOY! FACE BUILT LIKE A FUCKING KOI, KANE IS A FUCK BOY!"

I chuckled hearing our fans' chants and the expressions on Tottenham players were wonderful, Kane looked like he shat an egg...

We were all laced up and waiting in the tunnel when the manager walked back in and looked at me before saying I was moved up to center forward for the match. He told Casi to take point as a one-off attacking midfielder position all while sending Rasmus Hojland to a center midfielder position, the idea was totally unorthodox, but that was Erik's style.

We ran onto the pitch and smelt the turf and the sheer excitement buzzing all around, colliding seas of red and white, the buzz was physical, it was tangible, and I could feel it in the air.

I was woken from this scape as the Spurs kicked off and they were on the way, quickly passing onto the left wing to Heung Min Son who was unable to move any forward so he passed it back to Reguillon who managed to switch the ball to Eric Dier, who lobbed the ball over my head and to the feet of James Maddison who crossed to Romero on the right wing who sprinted up the right and past our left back, Luke Shaw.

The cross was immaculate and I was running back when I saw the ball connect with Harry Kane's head and fly in the direction of the top right corner, straight like a gunshot, I sighed as the sound of the ball clattering against the post was heard.

Our keeper gave them no chance to return to their positions and soon Hojland was behind me switching the ball to Casi who through passed it to me, the pitch became a blur as I rushed forwards, my muscles aching and searing as I ran faster, stretching the limits of my body. Involuntary tears flew from my eyes as I locked into Hugo Lorris moving forward in a bid to take the ball from me.

I evaluated my options in a millisecond, that felt like an hour, I could fake left and risk being tackled or I could lob the ball over him. I knew my answer as I felt the tip of my foot caress the underside of the ball, causing it to rise in an arc, spiraling over Lorris's outstretched hands, millimeters from the crossbar, WOOOOOSH!

"GOAL! ADRIAN RANDIN!"

I ran to the corner flag, not before jumping in the air and pumping my arms like Harry Kane does, I was one up on the old man, but the night was nowhere near over...
