DIVINE AND CONQUER VI (Ch. 62)

Raven recovers consciousness turning to find that Jay is similarly conscious, 

"We need to head to the RUNAWAYS HQ, James Yanick and Dennis are spent, Mari is on her way she's with Anna as well, we'll rendezvous with him and take care of the extras while Nathan's Runaway fam deals with the main force" Jay says dropping his phone,

"Mari and Anna?" Raven inquires as he staggers to his feet stretching away the slight ache in his body, 

"Where's Konan?"

"He said he's taking a little detour" Jay replies as Raven helps him up, the two make their way out shocked at the wreckage at the complex's front, the two find Darren against a car clutching his most likely fractured Jaw and almost fifty plus pounds lighter, {This is the result of that force art, it's it} Silver,

(Most likely) Raven replies as Darren turns spotting them before groaning in irritation,

(Is he actually really going to need to regain all that fat?),

{His muscles a saturated with force, in essence that's what causes him to appear bloated, rapid recycling of that force to boost physical capabilities is what is truly happening when he uses that Force art, it's most likely incomplete though, at its zenith it shouldn't have such a pronounced side effect} Silver replies 

"C'mon we don't have much time!" Jay states running past Darren, Raven looks at him a while longer before following after Jay.

       A person in all black steps out the train station, he licks the lolipop in hand leisurely as he saunters his way towards the given destination.

       Oren exits the HQ rooftop before walking towards the last defense line, he watches with abject appathy as Warden Raven and co battle the sea of armed teens, a joyful smile blooms when he spots Nathan laying waste to every and anyone in his path the instinctively he shifts dodging Mari's kick, a follow up spin kick from her connects reeling his head to the side she frowns,

(He feels like rubber),

Oren still unfazed pulls a phone out before speed dialing a number, the line is picked up with haste and while still staring at Nathan he speaks, 

"It's time", Oren's eyes go wide as he finds himself crashing head first into the asphalt ground,

(I couldn't see her?!?), Oren is up in a flash and Mari finds herself flying next tightening her core as she leans into the fall landing on her feet, she lifts her head only to notice Oren's absence, she rolls forward avoiding Oren's downward punch that splinters the ground, Mari's guard is up in a flash taking the brunt of a kick from behind as she reels to the side, 

"Head on forward boss" Charles says watching Mari guardedly, Charlie comes up behind him moments later as Mari is up on her feet, Oren moves forward tilting his head as Jay's fist glances past him moments later Jay crashes against asphalt in a gasp a follow up strike straight to his adam leaves him gagging, Oren follows up with a boot to the Jaw that has him seeing stars when another finally knocks his already weary body unconscious, Oren drags him by the collar before pitching him into midair,

"Nathan!" Warden calls as the latter turns catching the unconscious boy instinctively, Raven picks him up from Nathan's hand's when the notice a group of eight teens in all black waking up towards the fight

"Nathan Smith!"

"Yes Father!" The sea of children reply, Nathan and co eyes go wide at the sight of the sea of cardboard cutout Nathan look alikes, behind them children is Jaime leading people who Raven immediately recognises as ex CERBERUS members,

"How about you kids go introduce yourselfs!" Oren says laughing maniacally as the armed children gathered Nathan striking him, 

"NATHAN!" Warden shouts but his signal for him to stop prevents him from attacking them, Nathan stands allowing himself to be struck as he glares Oren who laughs incessantly down, 

"This war is over!, You've lost!" Jaime shouts

"It's funny you would say that Konan speaks up stepping up from behind, following behind him is Yanick who's supported by a Relentless member,

"RELENTLESS!!!"

"WE DEFEND!!!"

"RELENTLESS!!!"

"WE PROTECT!!!"

"YOU BETTER GET THOSE GODDAMNED MEN HERE RIGHT NOW YOURÇ" Konan seethes glaring Jaime down, the latter applauds slowly still wearing his confident expression,

"You should have realised by now right?"

"I don't know what you're talking about"

"This ruse you call a war", taking his silence as confirmation he turns to Anna with a smirk, "Oh?, You still trust her?, It seems you're still too naive" Jaime mocks

"Threatening her through her family is the kind of thing scum like you is best at" Konan sneers, (even with the guy's here we still won't win, where the hell is he!) Konan ponders watching for any sign of his 'jack in the box'.

"Seems like he's not going to come what do we do now?" Anna inquires whispering from his side, Mari steps past Oren walking straight to Konan who shields Anna behind him,

"Stop! She's not who you think sje is, it was her f.." Konan's words freeze at the sight of the sole of Mari's boot inches from his face,

"I've lost interest Konan Meryin" she states coldly, "you disappoint me" 

"Wha..ach!!" Konan cries goig down as Anna's baton crashes into his side, Mari sidesteps her swing but her counter kick comes short, she twists away from Charlie's hold before flipping over Anna's swing, Yanick glares attempting to attack but he's restrained, Anna chuckles before heading over to Jaime who embraces her,

"You've done fantastically babe" Jaime states, (the picture is almost finished now)

"Man what a fucking hassle" a gruff voice calls from behind Nathan and co,

"Tell me about it" another responds, Nathan and co turn and he and Warden are the first to exclaim

"Drake!, Josh!"

"You're mighty lucky Elaine called us in"

"Really what where you thinking", Charles and Charlie step up ready to face the two, 

"The boss has spoken a lot about you two" Charles says

"So you're the old versions?" Charlie states

"Huh? Pirates?" Drake questions

"Old versions?, It's funny comming from a third-rate" Josh muses

Charlie's leg whips but Josh is under it in a flash his leg sweeping Charlie's Charles reacts with a down kick but Drake's stomp to the face forces him back, Drake downward punch is blocked by Charlie's guard but a follow up kick from Josh connect's with his crotch Charles lunges his punch stops inches from Drakes face who dodges with aid of Josh's pull, Josh pushes of Drakes shoulder smashing downward wish a kick, Charles is pushed away by Charlie who'd recovered but a mean hook from Drake downs him allowing Josh's seemingly weightless body to close on Charles who's falling backwards and down him with an uppercut, ending the fight in seconds

"Just like old times!" Oren shouts laughing manaically yet joyfully as he watches the two, "Now now kids don't stop!" He states laughing as the kids surround and enclose Warden Nathan Drake and Josh,

"RELENTLESS!!!"

"WE PROTECT!!!"

"ATTACK!!!" Yanick shouts watching fiercely as the few members of his crew present clash against the ex CERBERUS executives, Yanicks face scrunches his teeth grinding against the other as he watches the executives quickly lay waste to his crew,

"did you really think normal people could beat my executives?" Jaimes mocks, Warden gritts his teeth before crashing his unpowered fist into one of the kids expecting them to flee, the opposite happens as the throw themselves at the four with more fervour, Raven attempts to help but is blocked by two executives with the rest watching Nathan and co keenly, 

(Is this really how things ends?) Jaime muses, (how anticlimactic) he sighs when a roar tears through the late midnight sky and Dennis comes barreling through the children, 

"You owe me one Voss" he sneers towards Raven who frowns before nodding then putting away his phone, the executives attack and Dennis Raven Mari and a still terribly injured Yanick meet them mean while Nathan and the team quickly encircle Oren who stands unfazed,

(Again, again!, I'm the outsider again!) Oren ponders seemingly unaware of the chaotic situation, Drake and Josh strike fist their knees crashing into his sides before they both lock his shoulders in place, Oren yawns forcing his shoulders away as they bending in severy unnatural angles he grabs them both by their wrists before spinning them away as they go flying, the two use their Enforcer technique Shifting weight to increase their weight allowing them to land unscathed, Warden's heel crashes into Oren's jaw his head snapping back he grabs his leg as he goes swinging back using the momentum as Warden pulls his feel back to crash his forehead into his nose, Drake and Josh whip their legs in but Oren grabs them both by their feet the force tearing through his body, had he been normal he'd be writhing in pain but his nonexistent pain receptors allows him to shrug the damage ir at least the feeling and swing his leg back and fort in a whip like motion into Drakes slim knee breaking it, Warden recovers hitting with a fist as Josh wrenthes his leg free but Oren palms the incoming punch before spinning and wiping his leg into Wardens Jaw sending him crashing several feet away, Drake goes for the uppercut but Oren palms it before hitting back at his Jaw with a knee dropping him unconscious, Warden is up barely affected but well aware of his dwindling stamina, Nathan signals him to stop, 

"Let's end this Oren"

"I couldn't have said it better Father" he grins, Nathan draws his extendable Batton while Oren picks up a pipe laying to the side, the two approach the other slowly when a huge two storied bus comes spreading past Nathan crashing into Oren, the whole battlefield freezes, Jaime chuckles madly at the sheer absurdity, Nathan and Warden stare shocked at Orens still body, Jarrett walk out of the bus grinning with insanity,

"YOU SHOULD HAVE ANSWERED MY QUESTION!" He bellows toward Oren who staggers to his feet coughing up blood as his dreads slowly soak from the blood creaping out his bleading skull.

A FEW HOURS PRIOR 

Jaime Yourç is seated at a table pondering deeply over the next phase of his plan, on the table are two knigts to left one black one white two rooks to the right one white one black another pair of bishops at the center one black one white and lastly a king, a black king, Jarrett steps through the door hopping on the table as he stares at the pieces as though entranced,

(Just great, now i have to deal with this psycho),

"Let me guess, this is Oren right?" Jarrett states, Jaimes eyes glimmer bit he otherwise schools is expression, "so you're planning to backstab him" he definitely

"What the h..."

"Shut the fuck up Jon jon" Jarrett states with erie calmness, "you're not nearly as smart as you think, theres no way Oren doesn't know, hey shake me" Jaime recoils at his inquiry but shakes him none the less, "now now jon jon, this is a backstab he won't expect" Jarrett grins manaically.

PRESENT TIME

Jaime watches laughing with tears as a shiver shoots up his spine, 

(If he hadn't approached me no if i hadn't shaken him, Oren wouldn't have been the one to take the hit).

  Several teens carrying banners step out of the alley's of the street all gathering behind Jaime, Jaime saunters towards Konan before squatting Infront of him, 

"Now tell me Konan Meryin, did i over estimate myself? Or have i won this bout?"

"You've got a lot of nerve!" Warden shouts lunging at him, Jaime hops away before pointing towards Oren's HQ, Warden glances to see Nathan stepping in after Oren, he turns back to Jaime before hesitantly making his way there, Jaime turns to Konan before continuing, 

"Phase one, to make the brain of Saiyan inoperable, you alrady know how, phase two to divide isolate and conquer, that was beyond easy and phase three to achieve the mission set by the president of the third affiliate"

"MERCHANTS!" Konan croaks

"Ding ding ding ding give this man a prize!" He mocks, "you were so prideful it was sad, even Daryun Won you're little 'Jack in the box' was it? Was easy to remove, afterall his sick mother is more important to him than any promise"

"I see" Konan states realising that Merchants must gave intervened in his plan to bring in Daryun,

"I was honestly scared he'd see my girl and recognise her, but i shouldn't even have bothered, he doesn't remember anyone beneath him, in the end Mari Hie" he calls looking to the girl who'd take a seat unwilling to involve herself further, "she was the only real variable, i'm flabbergasted, i never knew there was a Shifter so strong in the shadows of Saiyan, if you'd passed her test things would have ended very differently, well We're off, you know where too" he chuckles sauntering away as he and his crew walk away.
