Destruction

The horned creature slammed it's head into the statue and shattered the monument into millions of pieces. It's hooves stomped into the ground cracking and breaking the street causing the floor to uplift. The area was completely demolished.

Ao and the rest of them watched the destruction from high up in the air. Way up in the sky far out of the reach of the dangers of the ground. Everyone's face was scrunched and shaking while Fi's mouth was gritting and his eyes were wide with his body shaking. Fi screamed "You putrid worthless insignificant pest , DIE!"

He opens his mouth and a blue fiery ball of heat formed in front of him from blue flames spewing from his mouth which grew wider and wider until it was several times the size of the statue that was destroyed. He then said "Precision Art: Extermination" as the ball of energy was launched at the monster.

Es looked at Fi and said "World Art: Rising to Heaven." As soon as she said that the area around the friends became a transparent green cylinder that rose into the air.

Everyone was quickly pulled into the air from an invisible force. They rose high up into the sky as a blue star smacked into the creature and started burning it and melting it.

It burned into the monster as if it was alive and devouring it. Growls of anger could be heard in response to the searing as if the creature found the attack more annoying than anything. Yet the ball of energy kept eating at the creature more and more until the thing was fully consumed.

The kids watched as the thing that nearly killed them became crisp meat.

Es spoke first "Precision Art: Return to the Mortal Realm." The cylinder bent and was redirected to the ground a good distance away on top of a house.

They were pulled to the location and landed there safely.

Ki patted Fi on the back "you're unpredictable as far as power goes."

Ao nodded and said "I think he used up all his kin in one attack."

Fi clenched his fist and stared down "that thing had it coming."

Ro had his hand under his head and said "do you think that was the last of them?"

Ao shook his head "The ringing wouldn't have been that loud for just one of those things" Ao frowned and looked into the distance. "There's either several more... or one really strong one heading this way, we should inform my mom so action can be done."

Fi put his hands on Ao's shoulders and looked him deeply into the eyes said "there's only one option and that is to obliterate every one of them."

Ro interrupted "hey guys look." He was pointing to the smoldered mess that used to be their hangout spot.

Es chimed in "yeah fighting is going to lead to a lot of destruction and might not be worth it."

Ao frowned a little and his eye brows dropped down a bit "thats not what he was referring to."

From the crater there seemed to be a red sludge that was morphing and shaping itself. Rather quickly it was getting shape and form.

Ki walked up "someone has to deal with that, that's going to be me."

Es tensed up and reached with her hand before closing and then just straight up hugging her friend. "Be careful..."

Ki turn his head then tilted it a little to the right before saying "I ain't getting anywhere close to that mush, don't you remember how my kin works?"

Es backed and for a moment her eyes popped open and her mouth went wide before she returned to a resting face only to bend her eyes down and pout. "I wasn't sure how you would do it but... yea just go take care of it."

Ki moved farther in the direction of the sludge and then he clapped his hand "Intricate art: All Consuming Moving Chamber Frog." Blue energy formed between his hands and in a extremely rapid and quick fashion he molded the energy into a frog. He then put it on the ground and said "expand to your limits" and the frog became giant to match the size of a house.

Ki then said "drain the impurities." The frog leaped to the crater and landed right in front of the red gunk. At this point it seemed the stuff had shaped into a head and some of a neck.

The frog opened its mouth wide and it functioned like a vacuum sucking in all the red mush and filling it's stomach with it. After it consumed all the remains it closed its mouth and just stood there.

Ki sighed and said "what should I do?"

Ao slammed his fist into his hand "I think you should just get it out of town while also splitting it up if you can."

Everyone nodded and the frog came back to ki. Ki put his hands on the frog and said "intricate art: fracturing" before doing a number of fast motions that split the frog into two smaller ones each with the red residue inside them.

Both frogs started leaping into the opposite directions and eventually were out of sight.

Ao let out a large sigh. "We didn't die... thats a relief."

Fi spoke "because of me... I welcome your applause."

Es coughed into her hand "technically we were out of danger by the time you went full destroyer."

Ao added "yes when we were in the air the creature couldn't have gotten us although you did prevent it from hurting anyone else so thank you."

Fi gave out a large breath "I never wanna see my friends and those who I care about in that much danger again, that blast was me being mild."

Os rubbed his stomach "I actually don't like things too spicy."

Everyone lowered a brow at Os. Os leaned back "what?"

Ao then went to Es and patted her on the shoulder "thank you for that great escape... we couldn't have done a better one without you."

Es blushed a little "no problem."

Ao then said "still I need to get to my mom while you guys go to your families who are probably all hiding in their basements."

Another ear deafening ring rang through the town.

Ao insisted "let's go."

Es raised her hand and quickly tapped Ao's head while saying "Impact Art: Queen's blessing." Ao was then surrounded in a green aura and with it he ran to his home and was moving extremely fast with buildings and roads seemingly sliding past him.

Es did the same for the rest of her friends and they then all split up.

...

Ao had grown wings and was now flying. He was heading to his house the fastest he could with the boost.

When he could see his house he noticed a big sign on top that was written in black ink and read "Went to the edge of town to protect you and everyone... will be back by midnight, love you."

Ao didn't waste a minute and flew in the direction the monster came from. He thought to himself "I need to see you're safe."

...

Slyena was at the outskirts of town and facing the forest. Her husband was going house to house getting able warriors. They wouldn't be much though and definitely not enough on their own.

She had a straight face and was a bit annoyed. She thought to herself "if this happened years later then the younglings could take care of this with little damages since they are already strong... I made sure of it."

She noticed the rustling in the trees. "I wonder what took them so long...".

She spread out her arms and said "Adapt Art: Dragon's First Layer." Scales spread and covered her whole body from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet.

Three creatures seemed to be coming from behind the trees. Much larger than the first one that first penetrated the town.

Slyena still had her hands out "Adapt art: Dragon Fangs." Both her hands had scales grow out from her arms and form two sharp blades.

She waited until her opponents were clearly visible.

Time passed but then 3 giant bugs appeared. The one in the middle was a red beetle that glowed with a scarlet light and made the grass and trees around it catch fire. The one to the right was a butterfly with a long stinger with the tip leaking a sparkling green liquid. At the very left was a praying mantis with 20 arms.

Sly ran forward aiming for the beetle in the middle as she deduced that was the best option. As she got closer the beetle noticed her and charged forward creating a trail of destruction.

Slyena first felt a little of the heat before feeling extremely hot as if she was on fire. Yet she did not seem to be bothered by it. "I forgot how little fire mattered to me."

When she was close enough she pointed her blades at the monster and then said "Adapt art: disaster." Scales from her body started shooting from her body and striking the creatures body's consistently causing multiple small but deep and painful cuts.

Slyena wasn't worried about running out as they were replaced as they were shot.

The creatures made a bit of a screaming sound before finally reaching Slyena.

Slyena created a giant scale on her left arm that was three times the size of her body. She shot it at the fire beetle's leg and it was sliced in half. The beetle leaned down due to losing the support of its leg and thats when sly jumped out and extended her blades to be longer than before to do a cross slicing motion that decapitated the creature's head.

The body that was originally just leaning down now just completely toppled over. Slyena landed in front of it undamaged.

She smirked "I may have to apologise to my husband and tell him I overestimated the threat." She stood tall and straightened herself "they can't even handle my weakest form."

The head and body transformed into red sludge before combining and reforming the beetle except this time it had 3 horns.

Sly sighed and said "Burn it." Which was a term people said when they are about to remove something that is annoying or stressful and is not to be taken literally.

She closed her eyes and spit a small scale at the ground then said "World art: Great devourer."

The ground under the monster erupted with a giant serpent like creature sprouting. It stretched it's entire mouth wide open and devoured the beetle whole. It then twisted its body and rushed the mantis swallowing that one too.

The butterfly went and flew out of reach while its two accomplices were trapped.

The serpent was basically a blue snake with no eye lids. Right now the snake was swelled up having eaten two large prey.

Slyena opened her eyes and folded her arms "Devourer constrict".

The serpent began crushing the bugs inside it's stomach by squeezing its body close. Sound of snapping limbs and cracking shells could be heard until finally the serpent was quite slim again.

Slyena sighed "if I knew you pest could just reform I would have done this from the beginning."

A green laser hit Slyena and was reflected off her armour into hitting a tree and piercing through it and every tree after it.

Slyena looked at the butterfly that was shooting at her and said "now how will I deal with you..." she pointed her blades at the bugs and started saying "Adapt art: disas..." before she was interrupted by a purple haired boy yelling "mom!"

Slyena bent down a little and dropped her head completely. She raised herself back up and pointed one of her arms at her child. "Adapt art: Dragon's reach" was said and then her arm stretched into a long tendril that shot at her son but not fast enough as the butterfly shot a laser at the boy and it was clearly approaching Ao at a much faster rate than the tendril.

Ao crossed his arms in front of his face and said "Adapt art: Body Monument." Ao's whole body turned a metallic purple and he started falling causing the laser to miss while the tendril managed to catch him.

The mother rapped her son completely in her scales and then drew him close to her.

When he was right next to her she unraveled his binding and dropped him to the ground.

Slyena looked at her son made into a statue "I don't think trophy kids are a thing although if it is then I do want one."

Ao was frozen in his current state and seemingly couldn't move.

Slyena just said "you can undo now you're safe."

Ao's skin turned back to its brown color. He then got up and smiled and went to hug his mum but she wacked him on the head with the flat side of her blade.

"Ow" he rubbed his head "why?"

She just crossed her arms and said "the worse thing you can do to a parent is make their kid DIE."

He frowned "well the worst thing you can do to a child is be a parent that dies."

Sly slapped Ao again "wanna bet?"

A laser was shot at them again but Slyena reacted quickly "World Art: dragon's shell."

The ground around them sprouted a scaled encasing that surrounded them in an egg shaped dome.

"So littleling what happened to the creature that went into town, the one I sent your father to deal with."

"You know I don't like... whatever, fi obliterated it with one attack although it turned to red mush and seemed to be still alive."

"Ah so they can all do that... turned to red sludge and reform into their original form and even make alteration to what their previous form was ."

"Wow thats dangerous and unheard of... powerful kin are rare after all especially in nature... I mean think about all the work that had to be done to get us powerful kin."

"Special foods and specific diets with lots of love and care and in the end we had no idea what power you would develop."

"Yea, thanks for that anyway how are we gonna kill that thing."

"well I need to conserve my energy so I am gonna give you the mission to do it although you will get a buff."

Ao shook up and down and said "Ok im ready."

Slyena turned her right blade into a hand and smacked his head while saying "Impact art: Nature's Protection."

"Ow... ok I won't endanger myself again so stop hitting me." The spot hit was covered in scales which spread throughout his entire body eventually covering all of it.

"Nice" Ao flexed his body and twirled "feels good on me."

His mother snatched something from behind him "one more thing."

It was the stick he had used for training. Slyena gripped it and said "World Art: Immortal Weapon." The stick became a long scaled staff.

She passed the staff and created a opening from the shell and then both of them passed through it.

He saw the winged beast way higher than it was before with it just buzzing above the trees.

Ao smiled before launching in the air and growing thick and long wings.

"Hey" came a voice from his right.

He turned his head and could see all his friends, his dad, and 10 townsfolk.

He smiled and waved as he rose but he was quickly disturbed by a loud crashing sound and multiple stomps. Ao snapped his head to the left and his eyes widened. There were dozens of beasts twice as big as the giant beetle. They were all charging and shattering the forest in their wake. Inevitable destruction was in sight.
