Chapter 48: Misconstrued
"What are you doing here?"
By the tone in his voice, I could already tell I am not welcome and he doesn't want to talk to me.
"You didn't have to blow up the whole building. People died! If our target is the Battalion, hit only the target!"
"Some pawns need to be sacrificed for the sake of the whole chess game." He answered while reading the paper he was holding like the conversation we were having was boring and unintriguing for him.
"Pawns?! They're people, Chief! Breathing!"
"So what? What do you want me to do? The plan indeed was to destroy the Battalion's office only. And Team 3 did that. It's not in my wrong if the whole building collapsed because of poor maintenance."
"You betrayed Soma. This isn't what Soma is supposed to do."
