Summoning

After around an hour of gathering the energy and pouring it into the magic circle the circle finally began to activate. The key in the middle quickly dispersed into particles of light as the circle glowed brightly. A small rift opened in the middle of the summoning circle as the particles of light vanished inside of the rift. They stood around waiting for the summon to come through the circle as William explained it can take a bit of time to find a suitable summon.

In the many planes that exist. The particles of light flew through the planes searching for people who matches the requirements of the library. The particles split apart and flew off to find individuals. When they found one they would merge into their mind showing them the contract and explaining things. If they accepted they would be chosen and summoned, if they rejected the particle of light would leave them and continue searching. Once one person accepted the contract the other particles would merge with other potential candidates and wait for another summoning from the library. 

In the hell plane there was a demon who was in a fierce battle against 5 other enemies. He was quickly being overwhelmed as swords and magic struck him causing him to fall to the ground bleeding. As one of the demons was about to deal the finishing blow the particle of light merged with him and he quickly accepted as he was just glad to find a way to escape death. Right as the sword was about to land on his neck he seemed to vanish. The other demons searched around for him for awhile before giving up and heading back to report to their superiors about what happened.

Back in the library.

The 3 of them stood at the edge of the circle waiting for a sign of someone being summoned. After around 2 hours of waiting the circle began to glow red and began to let off strong energy fluctuations. The spacial tear in the middle of the circle widened as a man fell through. He quickly stood up and began looking around in confusion. He was 6ft tall with red skin and a pair of horns on his head. He had black hair and eyes with a large pair of leathery wings on his back that were folded up. He had a large pair of tusks coming out of his mouth but it didn't seem to impede his ability to speak. He was very muscular and he was wielding a sword ready to attack.

Oh my God he's naked! Isaac shouted before blushing and turning around.

More important than that he seems to be injured Val said also blushing.

William quickly stepped forward and introduced himself.

Hello there, I am William. I am one of the keepers of the library. The two over there are also keepers. You should've read the contract the library offered to you but in case you didn't get the chance let me explain a little. You were summoned to help us manage the library and whatever else. Of course you aren't like a slave or anything so you will receive food and board along with payment in the form of cultivation resources. 

I see. The man said lowering his guard a bit. This is a lot to take in but you saved me from death so I must thank you. 

We didn't really do anything Val said. But how about you come with us so we can get you cleaned up and in some clothes. I am Valkyr by the way but you can just call me Val.

I am Isaac! What is your name? Do you know how to use that sword? Where did you come from? Are you a demon?

The man seemed a little uncomfortable with the attention and just remained silent.

Sorry Val said apologizing Isaac is just excited. We have never encountered one of your species before and Isaac likes to learn anything he can.

I understand. My name is Agthomen. Yes I know how to use a sword, I came from the hell plane and yes I am a demon. Specifically I am a demon prince. Right before I was brought here I was about to be killed by a rivaling demon kingdom.

Wow that is really cool! Isaac said sounding like a little kid causing Agthomen to chuckle. 

Soon they brought him to the bathroom where William used healing magic to close up his wounds. As he took a shower to wash off all of the blood and grime stuck to his body the 3 of them left him alone. William prepared a uniform for him and they waited for him to finish washing up.

After 10 minutes of waiting Agthomen came out of the bathroom wearing the library uniform. The suit fit him very well although it looked as if he flexed his muscles it would be shredded apart. 

Checking himself out in the suit he spoke. Wow this clothing is very comfortable! And it doesn't restrict my movements at all. I can also sense the vast amount of enchantments that were weaved into it as it was made. This library is extremely powerful!

With a chuckle William agreed before quickly leading the group through the back rooms towards another door.

This will be your bedroom William said opening the door. In the future if you want to travel to a room just hold the handle of the main door and think of the place you wish to travel to. Heading to another door William showed off the dining area. After that he led them to the main library and began explaining the different rules and requirements for his job. 

Do you have any questions William asked. 

Nope it all seems pretty simple Agthomen said with a smile, although his smile looked a little creepy with his big tusks. Oh wait I do have one question. Will I be able to leave the library or will I need to remain here until the contract expires.

You can leave if you wish just as long as you let one of us know so that way we can cover whatever job you are doing at the time William explained. 

Good because I would love to get revenge on the bastards who attacked me! Agthomen began cracking his knuckles and giving an evil smile as he began letting off a dense killing intent.

With a sigh William spoke. Yes I expected as much but please control your killing intent. Val and Isaac aren't strong enough yet to resist it. Looking over both Val and Isaac broke out into a cold sweat and stepped far away from Agthomen. 

Snapping out of it he quickly apologized to the two of them before rubbing his head in embarrassment.
