Movie Script

After a few minutes, he noticed her. She was walking hurriedly with earphones in her ears. She seemed to be about to call Kazuya again.

*Honk*

Kazuya honked when he brought the car close to her.

Chizuru jumped a little and turned to look at the rude fucker who made such a loud noise.

"Kazuya!" She quickly got into the car, taking a deep breath as if she finally left a lot of stress from her chest.

"Everything okay?" He held her hand that seemed to be lightly shivering.

"Well… kinda. I'm not sure… I think I'm being stalked."

"Someone from college?"

"No… It's one of my old regulars from when I was a rental… I noticed him quite a few times when I was walking home from college today."

"All right, it's decided. You're getting a car."

Instead of an agreement, Kazuya got a punch to his arm.

"Ow…?" Kazuya was confused about how he should react.

"Couldn't you just say that you'd come to pick me up from college as you do every once in a while? Why do you have to be so extravagant?" She pouted and crossed her arms under her chest.

Kazuya's attention couldn't help but go to her chest for a second.

"I'll come to pick you up from college, babe" He smiled, tightening his hold on her hand, "But you're still getting the car. You never know when I might be busy. Your safety comes first."

"Don't spend so much on me. It's a waste of money. You already have a car."

"Now, that's just wrong. Spending money on you is always worth it."

"But I didn't do anything for you to-"

"You don't have to do anything for me to want to pamper you. I want to buy my girl expensive things just because I want to. There doesn't have to be a deeper reason for any of that."

"But-"

"Let's go home. We have to start working on the script. I want your opinion on the stuff that we should and shouldn't film. I got quite a few stories from your grandma and we need to set up a basic storyboard." Kazuya decided to distract her with the film since he wasn't planning to fight meaninglessly over getting her a car. She was going to get a car whether she wanted it or not.

"Fineee…" She pouted whinily while rolling her eyes.

'She's like the only girl I've ever seen who needs to be convinced to be given gifts. Just let me be your sugar daddy dammit.'

"Chizuru…"

"Hm?" She looked at him with curious eyes.

"Send me the name and profile of the person whom you saw stalking you. You probably still have access to his profile on Diamond, right?"

"Yeah, I'll send it to you now."

Kazuya was going to get Chizuru a restraining order against that guy as soon as possible.

They went back home and worked on finalizing the script of the movie. Kazuya and Chizuru added quite a bit of flair to the story and also changed quite a few things since the story didn't have to be completely accurate. A lot of events were made different for storytelling purposes, but they still kept the essence of grandma Sayuri in the story.

"By the way… Your grandma's had quite a fun life, no?"

Chizuru was also reading through the list of major events of her grandma's life.

"Yeah, she's even done quite a few adventure sports, bungee jumping, skydiving, rock climbing… So much stuff."

"Well, we'll be filming that stuff so we might as well do it too. It'll be better if we film the real stuff instead of going with CGI anyway."

"Wouldn't that cost more though?"

"Not really actually. A good CGI crew would cost more if we make them add realistic special effects here."

"Well, you're the producer/director."

"I'll be finished with the initial draft of the script in a week and then the editing will probably take another week. By then, we'll find the film crew and start marketing the movie. By the time June ends, we'll be finished with the shooting of the movie. Giving another month for the post-production stuff. We should be finished by the end of July."

Kazuya had an initial timeline of the movie decided. If there weren't any major hiccups, then Grandma Sayuri could watch her granddaughter on the big screen at the start of August.

The next week went by without much incident, Kazuya had the initial draft of the script ready and he'd already sent it to the editor for verification and finalization of the script.

He also decided that he was going to start a talent agency that was also going to serve as a production house. He'd already talked to Kaguya about it and they'd decided to create a new subsidiary of the Nexus Group called Nexus Entertainment.

They had created the overall structure of the company where the parent company was going to be called Nexus group and all the other companies would be subsidiaries like Nexus Tech, Nexus Entertainment, etc.

Kazuya wasn't planning on creating a company for entertainment initially, but he changed his mind when he remembered that he had a quest about an IPO. Kazuya didn't want to go public with his tech company since it could expose a lot of his confidential information to the public.

Instead, Kazuya was going to go public with Nexus Entertainment. It would help him complete his quest and also help him manage Chizuru's career himself, instead of having her rely on other people for that stuff.

'Then again, Chizuru might be quitting acting altogether, so I need to start scouting talents. So much stuff to do.'

The establishment of the company was in the works and the script was also in the hands of the editor who was working out the kinks in the script.

Just when Kazuya thought that he had a week of free time while waiting for the script to get ready, he got a call from that very guy.

The fucker didn't plan to leave Kazuya alone while editing the script, instead, he called Kazuya every single day and took up more than 2-3 hours every single day.

Kazuya also had to go to college since he'd been skipping quite a few classes and he had to attend some of them.

With all of that, Kazuya didn't have nearly as much time to enjoy his life with Chizuru as he wanted to.

At most, he was able to hang around with her in college. Even at night, he was so tired that he just cuddled to sleep with Chizuru.

Finally, after an annoyingly grueling week, the final script was ready.

Kazuya had some time to himself on Friday and he was planning to spend some time playing games.

'I will fucking finish Ragnarok today!' Kazuya screamed in his mind. The poor guy hadn't been able to finish that damn game ever since it was released since he didn't have any semblance of time. He hadn't even reached the halfway point yet.

Sadly for him, after an hour into the game, Kazuya got a call.

'Unknown number? Fuck it.' Kazuya silenced the call and went back to the game.

The same person called him again. Kazuya ignored it again.

Finally, for the third time, Kazuya decided to pick it up since it might've been important.

"Hello…" Kazuya's tone was borderline threatening.

'If this isn't an important call…'

"Hi, Kazuya-san!" It was Ruka.

Kazuya's eye twitched and he immediately cut the call, putting his phone on the side.

It kept ringing for the next 10 minutes.

'I now know why her quest rewards me with something as bullshit as perseverance…'

"Yes, Ruka. What is it?"

"Are you mad at me, Kazuya-san?" Her tone was teary.

"Not really, Ruka. I'm busy right now."

"Oh, I'm sorry for disturbing you…"

'Yeah, no shit, Sherlock.' "Did you need something?"

"Can we go out?"

"We've already had this talk."

"You ran away in the middle of our conversation!"

"It was an emergency."

"I'll come to your house. We can finish our talk after that."

'Is she outside my place right now…' Kazuya had an ominous premonition.

"How about no?"

"Are you with your girlfriend?"

"No, but-"

"Then it's fine. I'll be there soon." With that, she hung up the call.

Kazuya was left looking at his phone. 'I'll just scare her off… My romance quota is already filled with Chizuru. I already have Mami. And maybe Sumi, down the line. They're already more than enough…'

'Fuck, I'm a scumbag…' Kazuya knew that he was a scumbag cheater.
