336 Big News #1

Part of Alyssia's plan had happened when she had arrived and it had formed due to her whims at the time until they had evolved to become much greater.

The main reason why she had participated was so that she could regain her daily influence points that she had lost over a long time as many had forgotten about her because she had rarely appeared in the world.

She could gain extra points from her victories and use the tournament as a way to regain her daily fame points but there was also another purpose.

Once the White Storm had moved into the New World even if it was in a more secretive way, other forces or those hidden within the White Storm that were in Paradise would be suspicious and start investigating the changes or start coming up with their own plans to benefit themselves.

The reappearance of the White Storm at the tournament was a way to tell the world where they were and that they were all okay but also to let others know about their intentions and their political or business reasons for their change in location.

Those that had previously been drawing up their own plans or were searching around the world would have a great surprise thanks to her actions and declaration.

Many would be thrown into confusion as they tried to figure out everything and they had each come to their own conclusions.

Within her speech she had spoken of recruiting talents of all kinds so it did not seem as if she was intending to amass a large power since she was recruiting people from all walks of life with their own professional skills so she could not seen as someone wishing to build power for anything else other than increasing the White Storm's businesses.

She had spoken of friendly relations and cooperation with others so she had stated that she did not wish to have conflicts with the locals which had helped to slightly lessen the resistance to them moving into the New World.

The mercenary group would take on missions received but there was also a limit to what they would accept so that they could stay out of the worlds larger political struggles so others could not complain about them using their power in the wrong way.

Finally her talks about her individual goals had stated that her pursuits were purely to grow stronger and gain more experience but she did not wish to gain enmity from others just because of results of a single fight or sparring match.

Although she was a skilled fighter, many had yet to see her full potential so any that challenged her would first start off within a certain limitation before it evolved to stronger opponents.

Rather than travelling to random places and sticking down a sign to attract people to challenge her, she had made the best use of her given opportunity to gain more wealth and points through duels.

Each of her words and deeds had created great changes and opportunities for herself an many others

Her mercenary group was slowly transforming to take the form of something similar to an adventurers guild and she was able to gain a means to continue her communication with Guy to help move the other plans forward more quickly.

Alyssia's new photo had been published in the latest newspaper article which had detailed information about her speech and about the intentions for the White Storm to create a new branch within the New World.

[Shock! A new champion is born! The White Storm emerges in the New World with a declaration!]

The article had been spread around the world very quickly and it had just arrived in the hands of many who had only just received reports from their information or spy groups.

On the island where Zoro, Mihawk and Perona were staying at, Perona had just finished helping Zoro tidy up the fallen and broken debris which had been created by Alyssia and Mihawk's battle and she had returned to the main room.

Mihawk silently threw the newspaper onto the table as if hinting her to take a look.

Perona looked at it and was shocked. "What.. what does this mean?"

Mihawk looked towards the distance as if peering at something very far away or searching for something. "What change will she bring to the world? Calamity? Salvation? Or will she just disappear once again after she gets what she wants? Only time will tell. This new era is very dangerous so we all need to be ready for it. If she can achieve this in her young age already then you should not be so lazy, you should train yourself further so you do not die once you no longer have me by your side."

Perona puffed out her cheeks. "Hmph! I am lazy? I am the one who is taking care of you all of the time!"

Mihawk rolled his eyes and turned his head away from her once again which had meant that he no longer intended to speak to her.

Perona stomped out of the room in anger but she did not forget to go cook and prepare a drink for Mihawk as she had become used to her daily life.

Within the location where the Five Elder Stars, Akainu stomped in and threw the newspaper onto the floor in front of them. "You and the Marines have the biggest information network all around the world but how could we both only just find out the location of the missing White Storm members a little before the news was released! This has completely caught us off guard with no means to control the situation!"

He was right in his words as they did not have time to manipulate everything to their advantage due to being caught completely off guard but there was nothing much he could do about the present situation besides venting his anger.

The long bearded elder frowned. "Be quiet, this may have caught us off guard but it is a beneficial situation for us to be in at present. We can use their split to weaken their power and influence over time. The New World is a dangerous place and they will have a difficult time surviving. Although she is a Mink, she should not have made contact with her home in a long time which means that her influence must be low within her tribe considering how many of her tribe she had brought with her. Even if she does ask for aid, they have been secluded for too long so they cannot possibly help much with helping her integrate into the New World."

The big moustache elder nodded. "If we can carefully make a suitable plan then we can easily cause a split within their organisations and possibly remove the threats within before they have a chance to grow but we need to be secretive about this and none of it can be exposed to the world."

"Agreed."

"Mm.."

Akainu grit his teeth as he tried to contain his anger. "I said before that they would grow much bigger and become a hindrance to us but you did not listen. They are attracting far too many talents from many different areas and that is harming the growth of our organisations already, this cannot go on. It cannot be allowed to happen there too!"

The long bearded elder frowned and shouted in a scolding and sarcastic tone. "Red Dog! You should be aware of why we have not acted against them already and have only put spies within. It is because we cannot touch them due to their good image, if the World Government or the Marines choose to act against them out in the open right now then there is a big risk of us being named as the bad guys and that will result in a big amount of damage to our reputation and overall image. You are just a Marine, how could you possibly understand the finer details?"

Akainu lowered his head and contained his rising shame and anger which made him want to argue back.

In the end, they had continued their discussion until they had finally dismissed Akainu which resulted in him going to complain to Sengoku.
