Chapter 13

Kakashi POV

I look at Minato blankly and I tilt my head slightly.

"Wasn't it Tsunade-sensei turn today?" I question Minato looking at him straight in the eyes.

"Oh yes! She had a load of patients today so she sent me here to watch over you for a bit. She'll come in a bit once she settles everything" Minato states with a sheepish look. I could tell he is lying but I won't say anything for now.

"So what are we doing today Minato-sensei?" I ask.

"Hm hey did you read the book on fuinjutsu Kushina gave you?" Minato sensei asked. I did read it but it would be too much no? He had all the books Tsunade gave him and he just took her test.

"Just started Minato-sensei I'm only 10 pages in I was studying Tsunade-sensei books" I respond with a smile.

"What do you think about it so far," Minato-sensei asks excitedly about it. Minato sensei's love for fuinjutsu never changes. Well, he can play along with this! He will be the best student they'll ever have well until his students come.

"Very fun, it would seem my mind would be the limit for it," I say showing a bit of excitement. Minato nods very excitedly and picks me up like a child. He then proceeds to hug me very tightly.

"Kakashi! You're so smart and adorable maybe I should kidnap you from Jiraiya-sensei. He is getting old how about it be my full student instead" Minato-sensei offers out of joy. I'm very tempted to accept but he needs to learn from them. Or some things he can do wouldn't add up.

"Tsunade-sensei and Orochimaru-sensei wouldn't like that" I plainly state.

"Oh, right the other sannin are also teaching you they aren't easy to convince. Jiraiya-sensei is pretty easy to trick if needed" Minato says out loud. He is still carrying me like a child but he doesn't mind.

"Hmm, I also already read those books from Tsunade-sensei it'll be a waste to not learn how to do it" I add. Minato turns to me and sighs in defeat.

"That's very true but don't overtax yourself alright remember to relax you're still a child," Minato says softly. Well, I'm a grown man in a child's body but that's beside the point. I can't really relax when in the future everyone dies.

"Understood Minato-sensei" I respond a bit cheerful and with a salute. He found it adorable when his students did it so he should clearly do it too. Minato only responds with a big hug.

Third-person POV

"Sakumo what the hell are you feeding that brat! I thought all of us were so-called geniuses but we are trash compared to your son!" Tsunade shouts once everyone was in the room and all the privacy and silence seals were placed. Sakumo is shocked at Tsunade's outburst.

"Nothing special?" Sakumo responds automatically out of shock. Tsunade just takes out Kakashi's test and places it on the table. Sakumo reaches out for the paper and sees the 100 percent in the corner.

"That is Kakashi test that is based on all the books I gave him. He didn't even get one wrong!" Tsunade states loudly. Everyone in the room's eyes widens in shock.

"The kid is above geniuses he is smart and he is excellent in battle" Orochimaru plugs in with a sigh. Knowing very well that Kakashi would be made into a weapon for the village when the elders find out.

"The kid needs to be around us at all times" Jiraiya states with a frown. There will be no way Danzo won't be tempted with such an excellent kid out there.

"I didn't think he'd be this good. He has always shown that he was smarter than his peers but this is beyond my imagination" Sakumo states in shock. He knew his son was excellent and he took pride in it. However, now he fears for his son. He will be a target for many.

"We should keep his progress a secret as much as we can," Jiraiya says. Everyone at the table nod in agreement.

"I have a suggestion I want to teach Kakashi how to heal already. I want an excuse to take him with us to the battle with Sunagakure. We all are being sent out to fight them or to protect the borders. We can't leave him here in the village for who knows how long. Or we have to leave him with someone we trust that can protect him" Tsunade explains to everyone.

"I would prefer not to send him out near a battle like that. He would be targeted right away cause of his silver hair. They'll know that we are related" Sakumo states with a frown.

"All I can think of is Jiraiya other brat or Tsunade boyfriend," Orochimaru suggests he would prefer to take the brat with them. However, it's too early for the kid to be exposed to war like that. No need to traumatize the brat so early on.

"Minato and Kushina will be going they are needs for fuinjutsu skills" Jiraiya sighs in defeat. He would have liked to have Minato stay with Kakashi but there aren't many fuinjutsu users.

"Let me go get Dan, wait here" Tsunade states as she gets up and heads out. She knew that it might come to this so she had asked Dan to take the day off. So she just needs to head to his house to get him.

"Alright" Sakumo responds. Right after Tsunade leave Sakumo looks at Jiraiya.

"I told you he was a bigger prodigy than your student" Sakumo couldn't help but say smugly. Jiraiya looks at him wide eyed.

"Minato is excellent!" Jiraiya weakly protests.

"Not as excellent as Kakashi I wouldn't be surprised that he would break your student record" Orochimaru adds. Jiraiya glares at Orochimaru.

"Shut it Orochimaru-teme! Kakashi is also my student now and he probably likes me better" Jiraiya states childishly.

"I don't know if that's true he checked up on me when I first arrived back from my mission. He also invited me to lunch yesterday. He was very excited about it and he showed me his room after lunch" Orochimaru retorts with a smug smirk. Jiraiya turns to Sakumo not believing Orochimaru.

"It's true," Sakumo says with a chuckle finding this amusing. But also very proud that his son caused this childish fight.

"How I'm clearly the best of us three!" Jiraiya shouts as he stands from his seat.

"No you aren't everyone knows im the best of us three now sit" Tsunade states. She had walked in when Jiraiya proclaimed he was the best. Dan was right behind her with a soft smile. The two take their seat.

"I have an idea what you are all gonna ask of me. I saw Kakashi's test when Tsunade first graded it. I will stay behind and stay with Kakashi" Dan responds. Sakumo sighs in relief and he smiles brightly.

"Thank you Dan-san," Sakumo says gratefully. Dan hadn't even met his son but will be willing to stay to protect him.

"No problem he is Tsunade's student. It be wrong of me if I didn't help her protect Kakashi" Dan states.
