Chapter 10 - Results (2)

Oh Min-Hee headed towards the agency with her father in tow in the Gangnam area. They reached the HBYE Label headquartered after some time.

They entered the building and headed to the reception desk. There, they met the lady in the reception counter. The lady asked them and the father-daughter duo replied that the agency called them after they got the message from the agency. The reception lady in the counter understood the situation, made a phone call and told them to sit for a while.

Oh Min-Hee and her father sat for a while until someone came in front of them. The said person led them to a conference room through the lift. The person told the duo to sit down while the one who called them will receive them. They obliged and sat again for a while.

Two people entered the conference room where Oh Min-Hee and her father was sitting. The two of them first congratulated Oh Min-Hee for getting selected and then sat opposite to them and introduced themselves.

"I'm Manager Lim from the managing department XX and the person sitting next to me is Lawyer Ha who is representing our agency in entailing the contract today."

Both Oh Min-Hee and father bowed towards them and they bowed in return. They bowed because it is a sign of showing respect to someone and Oh Min-Hee required there assistance so that she could join the agency seamlessly.

Lawyer Ha did not waste anytime and took out a contract from the bag and handed towards the father-daughter duo and said.

"This is the contract, if signed, will make her a trainee at our agency. You can take your time to read the contract here or you could take home and read it if you feel uncomfortable here. But If you take it home, then please come to a decision as soon as possible."

Oh Min-Cheol who was sitting opposite to them said in a raspy voice.

"No, we would read it here."

Lawyer Ha then said it is fine.

Before coming to the agency, Oh Min-Hee and Oh Min-Cheol already discussed what they would do. Whatever conditions were there in the contract, Oh Min-Hee would accept it because she needed to join them for goal and they know that they can't fight against the HBYE Label even if they dish out unfair terms and conditions. Therefore, Oh Min-Cheol who had the contract in the hand pretended to read it seriously and after fifteen minutes, he said he was done and accepted it.

Lawyer Ha who was sitting opposite of them was stunned because this is fastest he had seen anyone read a contract and accept it. They didn't even ask any questions so he asked in doubt.

"Are you really done reading it and understanding everything that is stated. You can take more time to read the contract if you want."

Oh Min-Cheol would not want to pretend to read that fourteen pages contract again. So he said in a raspy and calm voice.

"Yes, I am done reading the contract and accept whatever clause is written there. Even if there is something I don't understand, I hope that you two would not scam this pitiful me."

Lawyer Ha and Manager Lim nervously laughed. They can't say straight to their face that there are some unfair terms and conditions which used in the right circumstances will help the agency keep advantage over the trainee. So they laughed it off and Manger Lim also added.

"Ha… Ha… Ha… you can be so funny Mr. Oh. You can trust on us to keep the integrity and hand your precious daughter on our hands."

Lawyer Ha, who was listening from the side said.

"Even though I have confirmed that you understand, it is the standard procedure for me to state the main clauses of the contract which the trainee Oh Min-Hee needs to abide by.

a) This contract spans for a period of three years from the moment it is signed.

b) The trainee needs to take the required classes that is ordered by the agency. Failure to comply this will result on expulsion from the agency.

c)The trainee needs to move to a dorm overseen by the HBYE Label.Failure to comply this will result on expulsion from the agency.

d)The trainee needs to attend the monthly evaluation conducted by the agency. Failure to comply this will result on expulsion from the agency.

e) If by any chance the trainee wants to quit the agency or move to another agency before the three period contract ends, the said trainee had to incur all the said debts acquired and pay back to the agency. Failure to comply this will result on legal action from the agency.

Lawyer Ha after stating everything drank some water that was kept on the table.

Oh Min-Cheol who was sitting opposite to him was shellshocked by listening to all the rules and regulations. But he and his daughter already decided to accept everything and not delay this further. Thus he said.

"Yes. I understand."

Manager Lim who was sitting side of the lawyer said.

"Ok then. Your daughter just have to sign on the required parts and you has her father has to sign on some area as well."

Both father and daughter signed at the required areas that they showed. After signing everything, Lawyer Ha took the contract from them, checked it and showed a smile while saying.

"It will take at most twenty four hours to process the contract. After that Oh Min-Hee will officially be a trainee at HBYE Label. Congratulations."

After shaking hands again both the manager and the lawyer left the conference room because they had other work to do.

Oh Min-Hee and her father sighed once they left. Oh Min-Cheol then said to her daughter in an emotional tone.

"I signed you off to hell as per your request. So please survive and thrive here."

Oh Min-Hee just nodded.
