Though he knew it was like a mantis trying to stop a chariot, as a butler, he had his professional integrity. How could he abandon Elisa and choose to live for himself at a time like this?
"Massey, you..." Elisa knew she couldn't persuade this stubborn old man, so she could only silently consent to his actions.
She could only hope that Gentleman Country would send someone quickly. If it were a fighter jet, or any other fast ship, perhaps they might still make it in time?
At that thought, Elisa couldn't help but show a bitter smile.
She would have been better off staying on the island.
