Chapter 3: Heartaches and Craziness

Andrea spent the entire night in tears. She didn't want to face school with swollen eyes, so she decided to seek solace at her grandma's place. When her mother asked if she was fighting with Timothy, it only made her cry harder. In an attempt to distract herself, she asked her younger uncle to spar with her for hours until he finally collapsed from exhaustion.

"You, brat! You've ruined our night!" scolded her little uncle's wife upon seeing her dear husband nearly faint.

As Andrea struggled to regain her composure, a memory stirred within her.

"Little Aunt... Can I have that thing? Well, you couldn't use it tonight," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Perplexed, her little aunt questioned, "What thing?"

"That thing from the other day," Andrea replied in a hushed tone.

Recalling a previous encounter, Andrea had stumbled upon a vial of suspicious medication in her little aunt's bag. Driven by curiosity, she had sought answers online. What she discovered left her speechless—why would a married couple need aphrodisiacs? In dramas, such substances were infamous for igniting uncontrollable desires... Ehm! Making people crazy.

When she asked, Little Aunt shyly explained. The medicine was for couple. It made people super sensitive to spice things up, not becoming crazy h*rny. You wouldn't blindly f*ck with people upon consuming it. The dramas on TV were such a scam, making it so dramaticly.

Little Aunt : "Hey, you're young. You could try many new styles first... Why would you need that? It's for people like us, too tired-working-couple that has no time for flirting and foreplaying," she wisppered as her eyes seeing my mom not far.

Andrea : "Well... He just... didn't touch me. Maybe there is a bitch seducing him. I am inexperience and boring. You know, I am not girl enough."

Little Aunt looked at her simphateticly. "Well... I can give you some. But... Only this time, okay?"

Andrea made an OK sign, "The first and the last."

Little Aunt: "And don't let Sister in-law know. I'd be dead if she finds out."

So, Andrea went home with an extra item in her pocket. Heartaches spun her brain into a blank state. Her eyes were dry, but the bleeding in her heart just wouldn't stop. It was so painful. The mixed emotions pooled at the bottom of her heart hardened and grew, morphing into a sense of craziness that consumed her more and more.

The next day at school.

There were no classes since the exams were over, but students still filled the halls. Some groups were discussing what to do if they didn't pass the college entrance exams, while others gossiped about which old couples were broke and which new couples had formed before prom night.

With her bag slung over her shoulder, Andrea walked past her own class B, and headed to class A. Some people recognized her and mentioned that Timothy hadn't arrived yet. She simply smiled and made her way to Timothy's table, where she gently poked the person sitting next to him.

"Do you need something?" Qilin paused his game, setting down his smartphone.

Andrea noticed Timothy approaching and staring at her from the doorway. She leaned in close to Qilin and whispered something softly.

Qilin shuddered as her breath grazed his ear. He looked at her, puzzled by her sudden change in behavior, wondering what she was thinking.

"There's a futsal game this afternoon. How about after?" Qilin didn't mind Timothy's arrival.

"Okay. Thank you," Andrea replied with a smile.

Without greeting Timothy, Andrea walked past him and headed to her own class. He didn't attempt to speak to her either.

"Hey, are you two fighting?" asked the person sitting in front of Timothy, named Legion Yang.

"We broke up," Timothy replied tersely, not offering much explanation.

A few female students nearby started gossiping, speculating about the cause of the breakup. Some seemed happy at the opportunity that had arisen. No one dared to inquire about why such a stable couple was parting ways. Qilin glanced at his friend but remained silent.

"Qilin... What did she talk to you about?" Legi inquired, curious about their conversation.

"Just asked a favor, it's nothing," Qilin replied casually.

"Oh... Well, seeing you both so calm, you must have parted ways amicably. Don't worry, bro! There will be plenty of girls around in college," Legi reassured Timothy.

As the afternoon sun bathed the scene in its golden light, the boys of Class A squared off against Class C in a heated futsal showdown indoors, while the courts outside reverberated with the rhythmic bounce of basketballs as Class B and D engaged in an exhilarating match. Meanwhile, the idle girls from all classes eagerly gathered on the sidelines, most drawn to the indoor match, their eyes ablaze with anticipation. With futsal taking place indoors and basketball outdoors, the atmosphere crackled with excitement and anticipation, promising an afternoon filled with thrilling action.

Standing by on the upper floor for audiences, Andrea watched the futsal game unfold below. Her eyes were drawn to Qilin Han. While she was on good terms with all of Timothy's other friends, her relationship with Qilin was rather flat. He tended to keep to himself, never one to initiate interactions. Despite rumors swirling about his sexuality, Andrea paid them no mind. She had never concerned herself with labeling others or delving into their personal lives. Qilin was a good friend of her boyfriend, and she was the girlfriend of his friend. That mutual connection was enough for them to regard each other with acceptance and respect.

Qilin seemed to be having a blast. Despite his lean frame, he displayed an abundance of energy, effortlessly keeping up with the others. If only his strikingly handsome face could be toned down a few notches, he would be perfect. Ironically, his perfection seemed to be his Achilles' heel. While someone like him would undoubtedly have countless admirers, Andrea couldn't help but feel it would be challenging for him to find a long-term girlfriend.
