Chapter 6
"Ano...sumimasen!"
Yuu abruptly opened his eyes, yawning for a bit, before slowly getting up, stretching.
'A new customer? Oh wait, this one must be...'
"One second please!"
Yuu quickly got up, before quickly changing into clothes different from the one's yesterday, and left his room, going down the stairs. From the staircase, he saw three different girls standing near the entrance.
The first was a young female with glasses with bright red hair in a ponytail with some bangs let down and dead fish hazel brown eyes wearing a light-brown cardigan with a white shirt underneath and green pants.
The second was a long blonde-haired girl with flaming orange tips and red-orange eyes with dilated pupils, and a figure that most females would be jealous of in a maid costume.
The final was a small female with white-lavender hair in ponytails and blue eyes. wearing a white capelet with a fur collar, a pink blouse, a white frilly skirt, and pink doll shoes. Her hair was in pigtails, each adorned with three dark blue beads.
"Ah, gomenasai, I was in bed until you guys called. My name is Yuu Makoto, how can i help you today?"
"Eh?! There was someone actually here?"
Kobayashi slowly took a step back.
"Don't worry Kobayashi-san, I'll blow him away!"
"Ne, ne Kobayashi, I did as I told you, can I have a head pat now?"
As the two others swarmed Kobayashi, Yuu simply walked closer to them, before Tohru then immediately turned around growling.
"Don't come any closer human!"
Yuu simply frowned before squinting his eyes slightly.
"Rude. You all barge into my place and immediately start threatening me?"
"Oi, Tohru, get back for now, let me be the one to talk to him."
Kobayashi took a step forward, while Tohru took one back.
"Sorry about that, Tohru is a bit defensive."
"Don't worry about it, I would also be defensive if I was teleported to a place where time and space no longer follow your worlds."
"Hahahahaha!"
"Hahahahaha!"
Yuu and Kobayashi laughed before Kobayashi immediately stopped.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN A PLACE WHERE TIME AND SPACE DOESN'T FOLLOW YOUR WORLDS?!"
"Ah, I should probably explain."
Yuu took a small bow with both arms pointed outwards, mentioning the entire place.
"Kobayashi, Tohru, and Kanna Kamui, welcome to the Uchu Taberu, a multiversal restaurant that only a select few have access to."
"Huh?!"
(Timeskip of Yuu explaining everything - I think you readers get the point by now)
"That...is a lot to take in..."
Kobayashi, like Komi did, took a seat, Tohru and Kanna joining her at a table.
"So, there is life out there?"
"In a sense yes. I'm not sure about your universe, but there are other universes with life in it besides yours. This place is one of the only ways to see them."
"There are other ways?"
Tohru popped into the conversation. It looked like she was interested.
"Yes. Seven, can you tell them more about it?"
[Affirmative]
"Gah, that scared me!"
Seven ignored Kobayashi and moved on.
[One of the main ways are known as "crossovers", and are when 2 universes come very close together, close enough that reality for a while breaks, causing the two different sides to cross over into each other. These are the more common ones. One of the rarer ones is when Yuu here gets the ability to allow people to crossover, as long as he acts as a mediator. For example, if people from Universe A want to go to Universe B, Yuu must travel with a certain amount and can go there. That link is cut off when Yuu leaves, however, or if he dies. If he does die, the Uchu Taberu would disappear, and all the people in Universe A would immediately die, as the Universe's Will would reject them for being outsiders.]
"I most likely won't do that for a while, since almost all of these universes are dangerous."
"..." Kobayashi stayed quiet as she got lost in thought.
"Ne, Nii-chan."
"Hmm?"
Yuu looked down, noticing Kanna pulling on his shirt.
"I'm hungry..."
Yuu squat down, giving her a slow head pat.
"Then, what should this Nii-chan make for you?"
"...Hambagu."
"Yosh, then I'll make one for you real quick."
Standing up, Yuu pulled back his sleeves and donned his white bandana, tightening it around his head.
"Ah! Kanna, I don't have any money!"
"That's alright Kobayashi-san, the special thing about the Uchu Taberu is that you can pay whatever, whenever, so long as I deem it okay."
"Ah...I see..."
"Kanna, don't you want me to make it for you?"
"No, I want to try Nii-chan's cooking."
"Since when did he become Nii-chan?"
Yuu simply grinned before heading to the kitchen. Grabbing the ingredients, he got to work.
"Kobayashi, what is Nii-chan doing?"
"Watch Kanna, let's see what he does."
Heating up a pan and adding olive oil, Yuu threw in garlic and onions before frying it for a while. He then took them out and placed them on a plate, before immediately grabbing a mixing bowl and throwing in ground beef and pork, breadcrumbs, the cooked onions, milk, an egg, parsley, salt, soy sauce, ketchup, and black pepper.
Mixing until it started to stick to his hand heavily, Yuu grabbed a plate, before ripping and molding 6 patties, and placed them onto the plate. Reheating the frying pan and adding a little bit more olive oil, Yuu threw the 6 patties onto the pan and cooked each side for 2 minutes.
Grabbing 3 plates, Yuu quickly scooped out rice before placing 2 patties on each plate before once again grabbing the pan. Throwing in sake, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and water, Yuu started mixing and stirring the pan until he quickly poured those onto the 3 plates.

"Done. Hambagu with rice and sauce."
As Yuu placed the plates down in a swift motion, Kobayashi and Tohru stared at the plates in front of them.
'This looks..!'
Kobayashi gulped silently before grabbing a pair of chopsticks.
"Then...Itadak-"
"Chotto matte! Kobayashi-san don't eat it!"
"Heh?"
Kobayashi who was about to take a bite stopped and stared at Tohru.
"It could be poisoned, so I'll eat it first to make sure!"
Yuu was confused.
"W-weren't you guys watching when I made the-"
"Be quiet."
Tohru grabbed her own pair of chopsticks, before splitting the burger apart. Juices slowly flowed out of the meat, as pieces of onion and garlic were scattered amongst the brownish texture. Gulping, she quickly put it in her mouth before flavors exploded. The taste of pork, as well as beef, followed by the sweetness of the onions and the strong taste of garlic, topped with the special sauce, caused the dish to become shine.
"Hnn-!"
A small moan escaped Tohru's lips as the flavors started to overwhelm her. Not even hesitating, Tohru went for another bite.
"Oi! Tohru, I thought you were only testing it for poison."
"Sorry Kobayashi-san, but it's super good!"
"Umai~"
"Kanna, you too?! Fine, then I'll also- Ghh!"
Kobayashi, like Tohru, couldn't help but let out a small exclamation. The taste was just too strong. As all three devoured the dish, Yuu simply united his bandana before tying it around his arm again.
"Hope you enjoy!"
(linebreak)
"Sorry Kanna-chan, but I can't go with you."
"Hnn...but your cooking is good."
"Oi...Kanna, what about mine!"
"Nii-chan's is better."
"Guh-"
"C'mon Kanna, you can come back later."
"That's true. Just think about coming here and say "Uchu Taberu", and you will come here as well as anyone that is currently touching you."
"Then, I'll come back later."
"I'll come with her to pay you back."
"Are you sure you don't need help with the dishes? I can do it, I am a maid after all!"
"Gomen, but I'm more worried about how you might end up breaking the dishes than you actually cleaning them..."
"Gah-"
"Alright guys, come on."
"See you guys!"
"Bye Nii-chan."
"Hnnnn, am I that bad of a maid? First, my cooking skills are destroyed, and now I can't even clean? My pride..."
"See you Yuu!"
With a wave, a happy Kobayashi, a depressed Tohru, and an excited Kanna left. Almost immediately, Yuu started grabbing the plates, which were cleaned, towards the kitchen.
[Congrats sir! You have leveled up!]
Yuu, who continued washing the dishes, simply responded.
"What did I get from leveling up?"

Effect: Allows the user to stop time for 3 seconds. When time is stopped, nobody but the user can move. Anything inanimate grabbed by the user can be moved, but the moment the user releases it freezes again. Anything animate grabbed by the user can move, but they remain frozen no matter what. Can be used once every 5 minutes.]

The plates abruptly stopped moving, and almost mechanically, Yuu's head slowly started moving upward.
"I-Seven, I have a few questions..."
[Yes?]
Yuu took in a breath before speaking.
"Why did I get a perk that allows me to stop time? And why is it now 2/5, shouldn't the number at the end increase?"
[Currently, you are in the {Tutorial}, and until you hit level 5, are going to get a random perk that has nothing to do with cooking. This is since once you hit level 5, you will never receive a perk that doesn't have anything to do with running a restaurant.]
"Okay."
[Similar to the level system, the number of people you need to serve will remain until you hit level 5, where it will increase. Then once you hit level 10, the people needed to serve will increase every 10 levels. When you hit level 5, other features will be made available for you, but you will figure those out once you get there.]
"So, how do I activate it?"
[Simply have the will for everything to stop. When done so, everything will turn gray, and for 1 second, nothing can move.]
"Isn't 3 seconds for every 5 minutes pretty short?"
[There will be ways to upgrade your perks, but once again, all will be revealed when you hit level 5.]
"Alright then, I'll deal with that later. Right now though..."
Yuu quickly wiped his hands dry, before getting into the infamous "WRY" pose.
'As cringy as this is, I've always wanted to do this.'
"ZA WARUDO!"
The sound of breaking glass blasted as everything turned gray. Yuu quickly grabbed a knife before throwing it at the cutting board. He watched in excitement as the knife slowly came to a halt before turning gray.
"Soshite toki wa ugokidasu"
The glass shattering sound from before played again, but as if the glass was being re-assembled. Yuu watched as the knife flew into the cutting board before imbedding itself into the wood.
"THAT'S SO COOL."
[Just to make sure you know, you do not have to pose or say anything to activate it.]
"Shush Seven. I just did something that any kid who had a childhood would be jealous of. Now then, please open the 2 tickets I got.

There was silence for a while before Yuu immediately got up sweating.
"SEVEN!"
