The sound of a buzzer went off as [Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi - Keyaru] turned gray on the screen, before being sent to a new category.

'That was close.' Yuu quickly sat back down again, the sweat coming off his face causing his pale face to gain a bit of light.

While Yuu may have been fine with obtaining more customers, even if they may have been somewhat scary, such as Beerus, there were still limits that he had. This also aligned with something that he hated with a passion.

NTR.

Yuu disliked the idea so much that he had memoried which ones had contained something so vile, and this was one of them.

"Seven, why was that one of the options? I thought this was only anime or manga worlds. How could "that" be one of the options."

[While it may not look like it, Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi is still an anime. Just like how Boku no Pico is an anime even though it contains-]

"That's enough Seven!"

Yuu trembled, trying to hold back the urge to throw up. First Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi, and now Boku no Pico? This was terrible for him. However, Yuu didn't have the time to mourn his future horrors.

"Time to greet our new guest."

(𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠)

"You sure about that, Rain? That Sudo Kaname is in Shibuya?"

"I'm 82% certain. My information is based only on probability estimation. It troubles me if you demand a 100% certainty. Anyway, I'm more curious about the "treasure hunt game" invitation that appeared on your phone."

"What, you mean you'll buy info from me?"

"If you have information with worth, then yes."

"Sorry, but all I know is that it was only sent to a handful of players. Oh, I'm hanging up now. Seems like your prediction was right."

"Yare yare dawa, what a carefree person. It's the D-game. Isn't it hard to believe it'll be just a simple treasure hunt? The biggest problem is that..."

"Rain" sighed as she lifted her phone to check the info.

"...I was also sent an invitation."

She quickly stretched, before thinking about what to do.

'Can I buy a shelter? No, it's an event, so I will most likely be dragged into it, so a shelter would be pointless.'

Collecting her thoughts, "Rain" got up and start going over the items she might need to bring. Her sniper, a few smoke grenades, a case...

[Congratulations, you have become one of the chosen that has been invited to the Uchu Taberu! Would you like to enter?]

[(Y/N)?]

"Rain" froze, rubbing her eyes to see if what was in front of her was an illusion. Was this part of Darwin's Game? If so, why was it floating in front of her, not on her phone? Quickly reading it over again, "Rain" closed her eyes, before opening them again. She pulled up her phone, before taking a picture of the screen. Looking at the photo, there was nothing but her room.

'So something only eyes can see?'

"Rain" tapped her desk, before talking out loud.

"If you can hear this, can you guarantee my safety if I hit the Yes?"

[All your questions will be answered, should you choose to press yes.]

'...That didn't answer my question.'

"Rain" collected her items once again, before grabbing a nearby pistol. Checking to see if it was loaded, she readied her sigil, "Laplace."

Laplace was a sensory-type sigil, giving her the precise location and momentum of objects around her, which in turn lets her calculate how they'll move based on said information, essentially allowing her to see into the future.

By having it ready, she would be able to immediately get a good grasp of her surroundings and take action as fast as possible.

"Rain" took a deep breath, before hitting the Y on the screen. With that, "Rain" disappeared.

"Rain" reappeared, and quickly used her sigil to get a good look at the place. She spotted chairs, tables, and...

A man?

Yuu, however, felt something off about the person. Her sigil was telling her that the person in front of her was not human. The information given to her by her sigil confirmed that as well.

Quickly jumping back, she aimed her pistol at the abomination towards her and pulled the trigger. However, before her finger fully pulled, she heard the sound of glass shattering, and she suddenly found herself in a chair, with her stuff on a table nearby. She blinked before the man who was in front of her sat down in front of her and sighed.

"I thought that there would be a better way to do this, but I guess not. Did you really have to shoot me though?"

"Rain" stared the person in front of her in the eyes, before she squinted. In an entirely new place, a stranger was right in front of her, and the way he managed to rearrange their current positions. He was fast.

"Let's try this again, shall we, Kashiwagi Rein?"

Instantly, chills went down her spine. He knew her name.

"My name is Yuu Makoto, and welcome to the Uchu Taberu, a multiversal restaurant that only a select few have access to."

(Timeskip of Yuu explaining everything - I think you readers get the point by now)

Rein leaned back against the chair before she shook her head.

"No offense to you, Makoto-san, but I still am not sure if I can trust you."

Yuu nodded his head in confirmation.

"It's fine if you don't. I too would be aware if I was in your position."

She swallowed before she asked.

"I have a few questions if you don't mind?"

"Should I bring you some tea while we talk?"

"Go for it."

A few minutes later, Rein had a steaming cup of tea in front of her.

"Chamomile Lemon. It combines chamomile blossoms with lemon myrtle."

She took a sip before her eyes widened. His skills in the culinary section were no joke. Putting the cup down, she began to ask.

"So the multiverse is real?"

Yuu nodded.

"Your entire world, Darwin's Game, everything, is in a universe of a specific number and categorized under the name of the main focus of your universe. In this case, you are from the universe "Darwin's Game". In another universe, there is no such thing as Darwin's Game. In another universe, there are Gods amongst Humanity. Each universe has a different focus, with different or similar things."

"What about alternate universes?"

"Those exist as well, but as far as I know, they won't pop up."

Rein hummed, before looking Yuu in the eyes.

"How are you able to move so fast?"

Yuu blinked once, before laughing.

"Oh, that? That's not me being fast. That's me stopping time."

Rein froze her teacup halfway to her mouth.

"S-stop time?"

"Yes, while only for a short amount, and with restrictions, I can stop time."

Rein began to immediately go into thought, her mind trying to absorb as much info as possible.

"A-are you a god?"

Yuu shook his head, causing Rein to sigh in relief.

"No, I was just blessed by a deity stronger than one."

Rein once again paled, before she took a small breath.

"You like teasing me don't you?"

"Guilty as charged. Your reactions are fun."

Rein pouted, before shaking her head. She pulled out her phone, trying to pull up Darwin's Game.

"Don't worry about that. As long as you are here, Darwin's Game can't do anything to you."

Rein's eyes grew wide. It couldn't do anything?

"You still keep your sigil, but the app can't open since you aren't in that universe anymore. Well, until you go back."

Rein closed her eyes, before activating her sigil on herself, falling into the ocean of information again. Thinking about the whole situation, her brain accelerated, thinking about what to do from this point on, before she finally made a decision. Opening her eyes, she spoke.

"I want to stay here."

Yuu blinked, before tilting his head.

"Eh?"

"I want to stay here. In this restaurant."

"N-no, I heard you the first time but..."

"Is that a problem?"

"Well, what about your stuff? Or back in your universe."

"I have everything I need, and I don't have anything really worth bringing here. I can always get computers or something later on. I can ask other customers that come by and see if I can get electronics later."

"I-"

"I will also help you with the place. I have already noticed the rooms upstairs, so there is probably a spare room up there I can use, am I wrong?"

"Well no, but..."

"Then what is the issue? I just wish to stay away from Darwin's Game so I don't get dragged back into it."

Yuu sighed, before running his hands through his hair. Rein was good. She was able to think of counters to everything. He also wouldn't mind the company or the help either. With her sigil, she can help him with future decisions as well.

"Very well then. Welcome aboard to the Uchu Taberu, Kashiwagi Rein."

"Glad to be here."

[Yes indeed, welcome aboard.]

"..."

"Oh, right. Rein, this is Seven, an eldritch being attached to me who speaks using screens that only we can see. He gives me info as well as helps me manage the universes."

"An...Eldritch being?"

"Yup!"

[By the way, as congratulations for getting an employee, you have received 3 things. Would you like to claim them?]

"Sure."

While Rein was still processing Seven, Yuu opened up his rewards.

[Perk Up allow you to raise a perk's rank to whatever the stone has engraved on. The item you got allows you to raise one perk you have to rank A. If it is already ranked A or higher, it will not work.]

'And the other?'

[P.E.P., also known as Perk Evolution Path allows you to evolve a perk you have to something with the same ability, but better. However, depending on the perk's rank, your chances to evolve it are different. This works on any perk.]

"So, anything else?"

Yuu turned his attention back to Rein, who had finally calmed down.

"No, there is nothing else."

"I should probably warn you though, that the customers you meet can range from a high school girl with no powers to literal gods, so please be careful with what you say."

"Understood."

"Right, I should give you your uniform. Are those clothes you have on you important to you?"

Rein shook her head.

"Alright, hold still."

Yuu pointed his index finger towards Rein, before yelling.

"[Clothes Beam]!"

In a flash of light, gone was Rein's raincoat. What replaced it was a black kimono, with a brown waist apron. Around her wrist was a bandana, similar to what Yuu wore before he cooked. On the back of the kimono was a white circle, with the words "Uchu Taberu" inside it.

"Once again, welcome Kohai, to the Uchu Taberu."

Rein allowed herself a small smile, before looking up at Yuu.

"Hai, thank you for having me, senpai."

(AN: Yes yes, I am alive. Truth be told, I was rereading the entirety of Darwin's Game to get a capture of Rein, as well as the future characters coming up. Spoilers, a revisit of a good old cat, and maybe the first payment. That's all for now!)
