With a swift motion, Yuji raised his hand, and the shadows tightened their grip on the curses. "I couldn't get a proper look at them in the afternoon because Gojo was watching. But seeing them up close, they do have a resemblance to demons. Do they have a weakness in holy elements? Let's find out?"
"{Dimensional Severance}." Just as Yuji chanted an incantation, a surge of energy resonated through the shadows. The surroundings flickered, and a rift in the fabric of reality opened, creating a temporary cut in the place for its reality.
The rift created by Yuji's {Dimensional Severance} spells distorted the very fabric of reality, creating an isolated pocket within the graveyard. The moonlight flickered strangely, casting an otherworldly glow on the now-separated space.
As the curses struggled within the Abyssal Dance of Shadows, they found themselves forcibly drawn into the shifting portal, disappearing from the moonlit realm. The atmosphere settled into an eerie calm, leaving Yuji alone in the isolated pocket of severed dimension.
"What was that?" Sukuna asked, sensing the change.
"It's a little trick I picked up," Yuji replied, his gaze fixed on the distorted surroundings. "Dimensional Severance. Cut this place off from the influence of the world's rules, just to see how these curses react."
"So it's like domine expansion," Sukuna stated.
Yuji furrowed his brow, unfamiliar with the term. "Domine expansion? I haven't heard of that one. What does it do?"
Sukuna's amusement returned as he explained, "It's a technique to expand the domain of cursed energy, making it more potent within a confined space. But what you just did seems different."
Yuji nodded, absorbing the information. "Well, I guess you could say it's my own twist on things. Trying to keep these curses on their toes."
Sukuna chuckled. "Not bad, Itadori. Let's see if this little trick of yours pays off in the long run."
"For now, let's see if the curses can handle Holy elements."
Yuji decided to put the influence of holy elements to the test. He whispered an incantation, "{Purification}," channelling divine energy into the surroundings. A radiant glow enveloped the isolated area, and the air seemed to shimmer with the purity of celestial power.
The curses, affected by the purification, writhed in discomfort. The unholy energy that fueled them clashed with the divine essence, causing visible distortions in their twisted forms.
Their scream of pain echoed through the served plane.
As the curses writhed in discomfort, Yuji seized the opportunity to explore the limits of their vulnerability. He focused his energy, on enhancing the divine influence with the intent to uncover any weaknesses or reactions specific to the curses.
The screams of the curses intensified, echoing through the severed dimension. Yuji maintained his concentration, carefully studying their responses to the holy power. It became apparent that the divine energy disrupted the cursed forces within them.
"It seems they are not pure demonic but their reaction to holy elements remain the same."
"Their expressions didn't seem good; is it because of the 'spell'?" Sukuna asked, but his voice sounded more like a demand.
"Yes, Sukuna," Yuji replied, his focus unwavering. "The holy elements are causing significant disruptions in their cursed essence. It's like their very existence is being challenged."
"But, they may not be purely demonic, but my holy onslaught is still rattling them. Keep pushing. Let's see if I can exploit this vulnerability further."
Yuji intensified the celestial onslaught. "{Divine Wrath Cascade}," he chanted, unleashing a torrent of radiant energy that cascaded upon the curses within the severed dimension.
The divine wrath intensified the turmoil within the curses, their distorted forms contorting under the celestial barrage. The echoes of their agonized screams reverberated through the isolated pocket of reality.
Skuna's voice echoed with a mixture of amusement and interest. "You seem to be enjoying the whole process, Itadori."
Yuji, still maintaining his concentration on the celestial onslaught, replied with a determined tone, "It's not about enjoyment, Sukuna. It's about understanding, adapting, and learning what a curse really is. And I have a history of being a sadistic doctor."
Sukuna's low chuckle reverberated in the mental space. "Fair enough. But I can sense a spark in you, revelling in the power you wield."
Yuji, acknowledging Sukuna's observation, responded with a hint of contemplation, "The spark you're seeing is just the mirage of old age and the hope that I will be able to achieve my dream."
"My dream is to create a world where people don't have to fear curses. A world where no one has to suffer because of the malevolence that lurks in the shadows." Yuji said heroically.
Sukuna hearing this was silent for a brief moment before busting in to laugh.
His laughter echoed in the served space, a mixture of amusement and derision. "Old age and hope, Itadori? Dream all you want, but reality has a way of crushing dreams. What's this grand dream of yours that drives you to wield power like a child with a new toy? Let me ask you again, are you really old just like your title—Immortal Soul? Because to me, you look like a young kid without much experience."
"Damn it, Sukuna, you really are a mood killer. I was really getting into my act. You just had to destroy it. But seeing you act like this, I have to say my acting was a big hit."
"Well, as my act was a hit, then I'll take your sarcasm as a compliment. Maybe I should consider a career in theatrics after I studied curses and cursed energy."
As the curses continued to writhe in agony, Yuji turned his attention back to them. "But all jokes aside, it's time to conclude this little experiment."
With a solemn expression, he chanted, "{Release of Shadows}," dispelling the Veil of Shadows Abyss and allowing the moonlight to once again illuminate the graveyard. The curses, weakened and disoriented, remained on the ground, their malevolent aura diminished.
"Let's finish them off and put an end to this,"

After Yuji slayed the curses, the severed dimension gradually returned to its normal state, no longer isolated from the world's rules. The graveyard once shrouded in shadows, now basked in the gentle glow of moonlight, the remnants of curses vanquished.
