Journey to the forest

I jolt awake just having a nightmare, but I can't seem to remember. I head down to go grab breakfast, running into Mathew again. "The beautiful lady finally awakes." I blush. "You know, I thought about how you have to leave today but I want your last day to be amazing!" he looks down and mumbles "Then maybe you'll come back." I look at him confused "What was that?" he looks at me and smiles "Nothing you need to worry about, now let's get you some food then I'm giving you a tour of the town."I giggle at his excitement and follow him to the dining area. "I'll get your food, you just sit here and relax." I look at him and smile as he walks off into the kitchen. After a few minutes, he comes out with an amazing-smelling omelet, he sets the plate down and looks at me. "Want anything to drink?" I think for a minute. "I'll have a water please." he turns and heads towards the kitchen as I pick up my fork and try the food. I look at my plate in shock because it was so good for a cheap inn. "Is it that good?" Mathew asked shocked walking up with my drink. "mhm!" I said nodding in agreement. "Really!? I-I made it." I swallow and look at him. "It's amazing!" he looks at me and smiles as he sits across from me. We chat while I finish up eating. Once I finish Mathew takes my dishes and goes to put them away. After he returned he interlocks his arm with mine and walks me out of the inn, he tours me around the town and shows me his favorite places. Once he was done we headed back to the inn. He takes me back to my room and helps me pack. I wake Charlotte and we all head to the edge of town, as soon as we get there Mathew grabs my hand and kisses it. "Until we meet again." I blush "Until we meet again." I turn and walk out of the town and pull out my map and see that we have a five-day journey through some woods coming up. Charlotte shivers. "Looks like we'll have to go through the woods." I look at her "Your supposed to be related to a dragon and you're scared." I said teasing her. "Your not?" I chuckle "Nope." she shakes her head in disappointment "Your stupid sometimes. I look at her and smile "Hey you chose to be friends with a said stupid person." She laughs "Your the first person I've talked to, all of my other friends are animals." I look down at my neckless. "I think it's because of this." Charlotte flys around to my back. "I'm going to take it off and see." she proceeds to take it off and speaks. "Çåñ you µñÐêr§†åñÐ me?" I piece together what I couldn't understand "Only a bit, I had to piece together what you said." she puts my neckless back on. "Well, at least your smart enough to do that." Finally, we walk up to the woods that got dark quickly, I reach into my bag for a magical torch that doesn't go out unless it has contact with water. "Let's hope it doesn't rain while we're in here," I say as I light the torch with the little fire magic I knew. We start heading through the forest for a bit hearing woodland creatures along the way. Eventually, I start feeling extremely tired so I look for a good tree to lay in, I found a place that was high up, and next to it was a tree that I could use to get up there. I climb up get out my rope and tie myself to the tree as Charlotte finds a place for her nearby. For a while, I'm lost in my thoughts before drifting off to sleep.
