Chapter 6 : Accident

Arrived at the river, the eleven sat down on the ground to rest.

James, who was the only one who could still walk, looked at the area for a moment and then signaled the others to back off.

They all stood up and came behind James, who joined hands and concentrated his mana in his palms.

"Mana blade!"

James separated his hands and quickly made two slashes with the side of each hand.

Two blades of blue mana sliced through the air and went through the trees trunks like a knife cutting butter before disappearing.

Five trees fell to the ground under the stunned eyes of his companions behind him, then he repeated the process a dozen times before tiring, cutting down more than fifty trees in one hour.

He sat down with his body covered in sweat and then looked at Diana, one of the girls in the group, she was the one who had fortunately prevented him from eating the boy some time before.

"Tell Tang to light the fire for tonight."

"Yes.."

She immediately left in the direction of their comrades who were beginning to unpack their things.

After resting for more than 6 hours James did not cut any more trees.

"Mana knife."

James' mana covering his left hand suddenly became thinner and more concentrated and then using his hand as a knife James cut the branches off all the trees he had cut.

He did not stop until nightfall, tired he approached the campfire and took a piece of meat that was roasting and quickly devoured it.

"Chief... what are you making?" Alake asked curiously what made everyone look at James.

James, who had just finished eating, pointed to a perfectly cut log and answered.

"Build houses."

Then without answering their doubts, He went off to sleep snoring like a real lumberjack.

Time passed, one week had passed, James had finished felling more than 170 trees and turning them into logs, after another three weeks he managed to turn 2/4 of the wood into planks.

He had also taken five weeks to completely uproot all the surrounding trees and clean their branches with the help of his companions.

"Haha finally finished!"

James laughed as he lay down on the ground, in front of him was an empty, flat piece of land on an area of nearly half a mile by the river.

But while James was still in his joy, he suddenly heard a scream towards their temporary camp, he instantly got up from the ground and ran towards the camp.

There were only three people Sun, Suzuki and Diana.

Diana was lying on the ground with a blue stone in her hands that turned to dust.

James then figured out what happened to them, leaned over and looked at Suzuki.

"How did she get that stone?"

When Suzuki saw James' serious look for the first time, he shuddered, and answered quickly.

"Your bag of shiny stone fell from the tree, one of the stones fell out of the bag and rolled to the ground, Diana noticed this and went to pick up the stone and put it back in the bag, but as soon as she touched the stone, she screamed and fainted."

James looked at the bag of stone on the ground and understood the events, then his gaze turned to Diana whose body shone with a blue glow that dissipated shortly afterwards.

"The mana is spreading in her body at a fast speed, can stone also give mana control?"

But before he was in thought the light began to burn Diana's skin which woke up screaming in pain, James seeing this was surprised as his pupils narrowed, he grabbed Diana's wrist and sent a very reliable amount of mana into her body.

His more powerful and better quality mana devoured Diana's mana in an instant.

She fainted again as her arms and legs had burn marks on them.

Then James continued to send a small amount of mana into Diana's body preventing her mana from causing damage to her body.

Once Diana's condition stabilized James left her under Suzuki's supervision, then took her stone bag and went to bury her under a tree further away.

Other people returning to camp were surprised by Diana's condition, but after learning that James had already taken care of her, they calmed their concerns.

The day passed quickly, the next day James was suddenly awakened by cries of surprise further away.
