Making Friends
The next day, Jennie and I came to school together because she did not want to walk alone to school so I followed her, but after complaining and murmuring about going to school early.
Mrs. Jane James aka Mrs. JJ, the teacher for my class, is average, dark-skinned, and very stern, I didn't see her smile even when she was introducing me to the class, she was impressed because we came to school early, hold on does she sleep in the school or is she a witch?
I don't see any reason why I should come to school as early as 7 am but I don't want to hurt Jennie's feelings.
Morning attendance was taken, the class was fine but we seriously need to talk about this, I mean literally take this issue seriously.
Why is there always a wannabe comedian in the class that will surely get on your nerves? I am not joking in my previous class it was Kobe Kroger who I nicknamed Kobe the Krokroatch and now it is a boy called Toby Simpsons who calls himself Toby the comedian but I think Toby the Simpleton or Toby Simp should be the perfect nickname name for him, he is huge for his age, he looks like a rabbit with his front teeth sticking out from his mouth and he sounds funny every time he opens his mouth to speak.
He tries to make everyone laugh but I don't know why every joke must revolve around Jennie, whenever I try to intervene Jennie tells me to leave it alone it was just for fun and he is just joking or maybe he has a secret crush on Jennie, I really don't know.
After all the drama in class, the time to eat is finally here. Jennie and I went to the cafeteria to take our lunch and as we were looking for a table to eat, Ryan spotted us and invited us to sit with him so we went over and sat down and Ryan introduced us to his friends who I later knew their names as Jaden Knowles, He is tall with a lanky frame, he has a striking brown eyes, dark-skinned, wears a bandana on his head, his appearance screams cool kid.
Fred Jonas and his twin Ian Jonas, call themselves the Jonas brothers after the popular music band the Jonas brothers, they were taller than I am, and they had white skin. they look similar until you look at their eyes, Fred has brown eyes and Ian has grey eyes, apart from that they look identical.
And lastly, Allison Woods, the only girl in the all-boys group, was Asian American, with her black hair and her round doe-like eyes, she looked cute.
The twins as I found out were the talkative of the group, they knew the latest news and everything happening in the school and so the conversation began. I was surprised to know that the almighty RAFIJ group Jennie was talking about was them.
I thought Jennie would be too shy to talk but she was talking to them and engaged in the conversation, it was not boring at all and I was really sad to go back to class but everything that has a beginning must have an ending, but before we left Ryan called my name and say we should meet once school is over for the day and I say no problem and we went back for class.
After school, we met Ryan and his friends at the school gate and we started walking home together but Allison and Jaden were not with us cause their moms came around to pick them up, so we started walking home and we started walking. Fred said to us but he was looking at Jennie to answer his question, "Have you ever heard of the door in the woods?"
Jennie shrugged nonchalantly and said, "It is just a rumour, it is said by people who were too scared and to make themselves look better, they cook up lies concerning the woods, nothing to disturb you," she said not knowing that Fred was fully interested in the woods.
Fred was not too happy to hear Jennie speak nonchalantly and dismissively, he insisted that the story was true and said in a serious tone, "Once the clock hits 11 pm a door opens and leads you int
o the woods."
