LILY AND SIRIUS FLASHBACK:

Lily talking about James to Sirius...

"James made dinner?" Sirius came inside the kitchen, while Lily was standing in front of the stove, with a coffee pot on.

Sirius took a spoon and took a bite directly from the pot.

"Blah...kkhh. Disgusting!" He threw out the food in his mouth, in the sink. "What is this? What Happened?"

"James didn't make this!" Lily said.

"I thought so, James is a great cook," Sirius rinsed his mouth again. "I don't know what this is!"

"I made it!" Lily said quietly, as Sirius was throwing out what was left in the pot.

"Ohhhh...sorry." Sirius grinned.

"James ate it!" Lily told him smugly.

"Oh, God!" Sirius said. "When I moved here, and I started making dinner, when he was out because of the Order. I made terrible food."

Sirius pulled some vegetables, and bewitched the knife to cut them.

"And James would never eat it," Sirius was pouring water in the pot. "He would throw it out, and make new food, no matter how late it was."

Lily took the coffee pot from the stove, and poured it in a mug. Sirius took all the veggies, and put them into the pot.

"I didn't know," Lily told him,"But he ate it all."

Sirius was shocked, "Man! He must really like you." Sirius stirred the pot, and took a bowl from the cabinet. "He never eats bad food, I can tell you, we made a deal, we worked on consecutive nights. When James had night duty, I cooked and felt it in the kitchen, because I had morning duty." He told her. "James came home, almost dawn, he made whatever he wanted, from scratch."

He poured the food into the bowls, and sat on the counter, and pointed to Lily. She sat in front of him.

"This is really good!" She took a bite.

"I know, but it took many takes to get it this way!" Sirius told her.

"So James never ate the food he didn't like!"

"Never!" Sirius put a mouthful in his mouth, "One time, he went for a three days mission, and he comes home and makes new food, he throws all of the food I made, into the garbage."

He shook his head impatiently.

"So, tell me!" Sirius said, "How are your decision making coming?"

"What do you mean?"

"Can I tell James to ask you out again?"

"What?"

"I mean, he really likes you, he doesn't talk about it, but don't tell me, you don't know he likes you!" Sirius was now finishing off his food. "The last time he went on a date, was with Mary, which went crazy!

"God!" Lily didn't know what to say. "I didn't know, I wanted to say something. But I dunno, Sirius." Lily ran her hand around her wrist. "How can you be so sure, if he doesn't talk about it!"

"I know, I know alright!" Sirius scoffed. "I am his best bro, he was hopelessly in love with you since you came into our cabin on the Hogwarts Express."

"I like him too," Lily admitted.

"I know that, you asked him to a wedding." Sirius let out a bark like laugh.

"Hey!"

"What?" Sirius asked her, still laughing, "So can I tell him?"

"You can't tell him that I said it!" Lily said.

"Deal!" Sirius shook her hand. "I don't know what took so long, you wanted this, he wanted this. God, happiness is not difficult. You have been living at his house," Sirius said. "I can't believe you didn't say anything, he didn't make any moves because you told him not to!"

"When did I do that?" Lily forgot, and said indignantly.

"Ohhhh, forgetting something, Evans." Sirius stared into her eyes. "Sixth year."

"Oh no!" Lily remembered, that's why James wasn't saying anything. "What did I do?"

"So tell me, Lily, I can talk to James," Sirius took his bowl, and plate and put it in the sink. He opened the cupboard, and took a chocolate from the shelf.

"Okay, okay!" Lily got up, "Do it."

FLASHBACK OVER

"Sirius broke our code!" James said indignantly. "I am so mad at him."

"Really?" Lily pointed out, they were on a date. Something he wanted for a long time. And something she wanted as well.

"Yeah, okay..." James grinned widely.

JAMES AND SIRIUS FLASHBACK: Sirius convincing James to ask out Lily once again...just one more time.

"Hey, Jamie boy!" Sirius waited on the sofa, while James just came inside the house, and dropped the keys on the coffee table.

"Hey, Padfoot, what are you doing awake till now?"

"Just that, I haven't seen you since, I dunno like, forever, so I thought I'll wait for you." Sirius told him. "You know, Have a bro's night!"

Then he looked at his watch and it said, 5:30.

"A bro's morning!" Sirius went into the kitchen and James followed him.

They were sitting on the table and eating in ten minutes.

"This is okay!" James shoved the pancake in his mouth. "I don't have to throw it out."

"I am glad, Your Highness!" Sirius sniggered.

Silence followed for a few seconds as Sirius watched James eat like a crazy person.

"Hey, Jamesy?"

"Hmmm?" James looked up, his mouth full.

"How is the wedding date going to be?"

"What?" James swallowed, "Oh, that, no, I am just going because she has no one to take, and she had checked plus one."

"So you have given up?" Sirius asked him, "Have you?"

"Given up on what?"

"Lily, what else!" Sirius was exasperated.

"What am I supposed to do!" James picked up the coffee pot, "She made it clear, she doesn't want to go out with me. She told me I was never going to be the one, seriously, Padfoot, I don't think I can get shot down anymore."

He took a sip,

"And I am so over Lily!"

Sirius snickered as James said,

"Oh really, then tell me, why is the Girl-Of-Your-Dreams-You-Don't-Like-Anymore living here? Why haven't you gone out with anyone else ever since Mary from Hogwarts? And if she doesn't like you, why is she living here, and why did she ask you to a wedding!"

Sirius was putting the dishes in the sink, and tied his shoes. "God damn it, Prongs, try to read between the lines, She invited you to a WEDDING! For God sake, Could you be any more clueless!"

"What?" James was taken back.

"Really, James, You can't see it!" Sirius got off the chair.

"I don't think this is what you think it is, Padfoot!"

"James, just promise me," Sirius stood near the door, "Just ask her out, one more time, if she says no, which she won't I won't pester you about this. But if she says yes, you would owe me big time, brother!"

James stared at him, he didn't have anything to say.

"You will do it!" Sirius insisted again,

"Okay, okay!" James said distractedly. He was thinking back, where he had missed between the lines, he still thought that Sirius was being crazy.

"Good!" Sirius displayed a wide grin on his face, and went out the door, he had a duty for the day, and the night. He had taken over James's duties for the next 12 hours after his own, so James could attend the wedding with Lily.
