Chapter 17

Just yesterday, the forest had seemed warm and inviting. However, after what happened yesterday, it felt cold and uninviting. Even the forest animals had disappeared, it was deserted.

"... find anything?" Jimin asked hopefully.

"Sort of. I found the bullet you were shot at with." Jungkook answered, he picked it up with his gloves and looked at it. It was long and thin, with a pointed end. "Jimin... whoever tried to kill you used a sniper gun. This is a sniper bullet." He then noticed a small logo on the bullet that said, 'M40A5 Sniper Rifle Bullet'.

Jimin noticed the logo too. "Well... we know what type of rifle he used. At least now we're one step closer to finding this person."

Jimin walked to around the area where the bullet came from and looked around. He then noticed something red with a white logo on it. Jimins eyes widened. It was a cap. And it was the exact same cap he saw sixteen years ago, Jimin would never forget it. Jimins knees buckled and he fell to his knees, eyes wide with shock and fear and anger and so many emotions.

Jungkook turned when he heard noise and saw Jimin kneeling on the floor. He ran towards Jimin, scared.

"Jimin! Are you okay, what happened?"

Jimin was incredibly pale, all the blood had drained from his face. His hands shaking, he pointed to the cap.

"I-I know that cap. I could never forget it, or it's owner. It was the cap that the man who raped my mother wore."
