The Homecoming Party

The duo arrived at the Yun Empire around noon, and by the evening, the town of the Southern Ji Family came into view as Ji Min took in a deep breath to calm his anxious emotions.

He had been able to pass as Ji Tang's grandson because the latter had been too worried and preoccupied with finding a cure for his condition to spot any changes in his temperament, but now, Ji Min knew that things has changed.

Ji Min looked ahead and saw the same party who bade him farewell had come to welcome him back; his grandpa, his two uncles, and their daughters.

They were all present and were looking at him with faces beaming with joy; a sight that made him feel warm on the inside; the kind of familial warmth he had never had but had wished he did, many times in his past life.

"Grandpa; Uncle Fang; Uncle Wang; I'm back." He joyfully greeted the trio before nodding toward the two girls standing to the side.

"Min'er is good to see that you're doing great; I will have to thank Master Lao when next I meet him for taking good care of you." Ji Tang answered smiling with red eyes that were almost tearing up in joy.

"Little brat, I can see you have grown a lot during these few months." Ji Min looked towards Ji Wang who had a rare smile on his face and answered;

"A lot did happen during these few months, Uncle Wang."

"Come, we shall hold a feast to celebrate your complete recovery first, then afterward, you can recount everything to us." Ji Fang added from the side.

"Master Li, thank you for safely escorting Ji Min back to us." Ji Fang clasped his hands toward the royal physician;

"It's the least I can do as an honorary adviser to the family, isn't it?" Master Li responded with a smile.

"Can we trouble you to join us in celebrating my grandson's return?" Ji Tang asked clasping his hands as well.

"It's no trouble at all; the journey was long, so I might as well tarry here for a day." Master Li answered as Ji Tang and his brothers nodded smilingly.

"Then I shall have the maids prepare the finest wine for us to celebrate and the finest room for you to rest." Ji Tang added before ushering Master Li into his villa.

Ji Min walked beside his grandfather whilst the rest simply followed behind with bright smiles.

After ensuring that Master Li and Ji Min had settled in, Ji Tang gathered all the members of the Southern Family to announce Ji Min's return and also invited them to the celebratory banquet of his recovery which would be held at the town hall around dusk.

The banquet at town hall continued into late night, and by this time, the sky was already covered with stars.

Ji Min already left the banquet about an hour ago; Ji Tang had revealed him to every member of the family like he was a super rare treasure being unveiled to rich nobles at a VVIP auction house.

He had been swarmed by lots of people who were seeing him for the first time and others who hadn't seen him in a long time, and all of them had a thing or two to say to him.

Several men kept toasting to him causing him to drink more than his fill, others patted him on the shoulder so much, that he felt his entire arm would drop off.

Many women also flocked around hoping to tie him up to their daughters; after all, Little Ming and Little Qing were not just getting smitten or stunned for no reason.

Several MILFs and the likes also flirted with him while girls his age would deeply blush anytime his gaze managed to pass across the area they stood.

Men wanted their grown sons to be friends with him whilst telling the little ones to emulate his efforts towards cultivation.

Ji Tang realized that Ji Min had barely socialized with anyone whilst growing up, and he didn't want it to affect him in any way, hence, he allowed the family members to socialize with him since they might not get the chance to do so regularly.

Ji Min understood this when he looked to his grandfather to save him from the swarm of people who didn't allow him to catch a breath from one conversation before engaging him with another.

Master Li was currently tipsy and was busy enjoying the dance that was being performed to him; his uncles were busy ensuring there were no gatecrashers, and he didn't want to appear rude for ignoring them all because they were all sincere in their approach.

It took about half an hour before someone or two people came to his rescue.

"Brother Min, Little Mei needs a little help; do you mind coming with me for a bit?"

A chiming voice floated into Ji Min's ears, and without even considering who it was or whatever the help they needed might be, Ji Min latched onto the opportunity as if it was his last chance at living.

"Sure, we should hurry, where is she?" He said as he surrendered himself to Ji Qing who dragged him out of the sea of human bodies.

"Does Little Mei need my help?" Ji Min asked, just to be sure.

"Uh? I thought you needed help?" Ji Qing replied thinking she had messed up his night. "I indeed needed help; that's very thoughtful of you, thanks." Ji Min gave her a charming smile which did its job pretty well.

"Do you want to come to stargaze with me?" He added as Ji Qing frowned in confusion.

"What's that?" She asked as Ji Min finally recalled that he was now in another world where many terms were yet to exist.

"Oh; I mean if you want to come to watch the stars with me." He explained.

"Oh." Ji Qing said as she seemed to be deep in thought;

"Or do you have something else to do?"

"N-no, not really." She stuttered.

"Alright, come with me then." Ji Min then began to walk towards the villa whilst Ji Qing tagged along still in deep thought.

When they arrived, Ji Min jumped onto the verandah of the first floor before climbing onto the roof; he then looked back and saw Ji Qing staring at him with wide eyes and slacked jaw.
