Stargazing

"Or do you have something else to do?"

"N-no, not really." She stuttered.

"Alright, come with me then." Ji Min then began to walk towards the villa whilst Ji Qing tagged along still in deep thought.

When they arrived, Ji Min jumped onto the verandah of the first floor before climbing onto the roof; he then looked back and saw Ji Qing staring at him with wide eyes and slacked jaw.

"Oh shit, I forgot." He muttered as he jumped down from the roof with a superhero landing. He was now at the Lord Stage, thus, something like this was as easy as breathing to him.

"Sorry; I got carried away."

"Un." She replied still amazed by what she just saw.

Most of all the younger generation members of the Southern Ji Family were still at the Qi Gathering Stage; and even she, who was one of the most talented of them was only about to break into the Qi Sea stage, and thus, climbing a two-storied building was somewhat of an impossible feat for her to achieve, not to talk of jumping down and landing heavily without flinching.

One had to know that she was almost fourteen years old and someone who was about half her age had just done something of such caliber; she knew that, to achieve such a feat, she must at least be a true Qi Sea Stage expert.

"Are you ready?" Ji Min asked as she looked at him in confusion.

Then before she could say anything else, Ji Min carried her in a princess carry before repeating his feat in a more straightforward manner than he did the first time.

Ji Qing clung onto him like her life depended on it as she closed her eyes fearing what would happen if they fell, but she later realized that she had been worried for nothing; in fact, the ride which she thought would be somewhat bumpy, was so smooth that it seemed to her like Ji Min simply levitated onto the roof.

Ji Min then dropped her to her feet as Ji Qing quickly turned away to hide her beet-red face; she had never been so close to someone like that and it felt foreign, weird but cool at the same time.

Ji Min who was oblivious to her condition simply sat and laid his back on the rooftop; he crossed one leg over the other and started swinging it like a pendulum whilst using his arms as a headrest.

Ji Qing realized that she was spacing out, so she quickly sat by his side and joined him stargazing.

"Whoa!" It didn't take too long for them to see a shooting star and Ji Qing was so enchanted by it that her reactions made her look like a country bumpkin.

Ji Min simply smiled at her reactions and after a little while, she lay back on the roof and relaxed as well.

There had been fascinating performances, with musicians, drummers, and barefoot, female dancers filling the hall.

This was very different from the ones Ji Min had seen back on earth, but his family members wouldn't allow him to enjoy it because they were swarming him, thus he didn't return to the hall and simply stargazed till it ended.

Ji Tang had two pretty ladies bring Master Li back to the villa, and though they wanted to pass the night with him, the royal physician had an image to uphold, so he respectfully declined their advances.

Then just when he was about to enter the villa, he looked up and saw Ji Min and Ji Qing laying there stargazing; thinking they had something going on between them, he simply snuck into the villa hoping he hadn't disturbed them.

About half an hour later, Ji Tang and his brothers arrived at the villa, and the moment they saw the duo lying on the rooftop alone, they all gazed at each other and smiled.

Dawn the next morning.

Ji Min woke up to realize that he had slept on the roof all night; he looked around and noticed Ji Qing had left, but from the warmth he could still feel in the place she had laid last night, he realized she must have left not too long ago.

He also saw a band beside him; it was a white band and since his hair was still on the low cut, he believed she couldn't have left it for him, thus, he simply picked it up and wore it on his hand before descending from the rooftop.

He entered his room and freshened up himself before heading to the living room to find his grandfather.

On arrival, he saw Ji Tang and his sworn brothers chatting amongst themselves, and from the look on their faces, it seemed to be a serious matter.

"Good morning Grandpa; Uncle Fang; Uncle Wang." He greeted before looking towards the last figure in the room.

"Ji Qing." He said with a nod and a smile.

"Brother Min." She answered before turning her face to the side to hide her beet-red face;

Oblivious to Ji Min, the old coots within the room had just introduced Ji Qing to a talk about the future; a talk that wasn't too comfortable with girls her age, and they had pressed her for an answer and she had told them what they needed to hear to give her a break from the embarrassing talk.

But seeing the topic of their discussion appear in all his handsomeness and mysteriousness; especially in the context of her plight, made her recall everything all over again; hence her bashful expression.

"Little Min; hope you rested well last night?" Ji Fang asked with a weird smile which Ji Min didn't understand.

"Yes, Uncle Min; last night was particularly pleasant." Ji Min replied gazing towards Ji Qing who had a frown on her bashful face.

"Hmph!" She snorted before looking away.

Ji Min was a little confused by her antics, but he didn't think too much about it, he had a reason for coming to see his grandfather as they needed to have a talk.

"Min'er have a seat, there is an important matter we need to talk about." Ji Tang said as Ji Min sat beside Ji Wang because his father's seat had no other seat besides it being the head of the family.

Ji Qing was already seated beside her father, so he could only seat beside Ji Wang since Ji Mei wasn't around.

"Master Li told us you lost all your Qi Cultivation during the treatment, but he didn't tell us anything about your body cultivation; what level is your body cultivation at currently?" Ji Tang asked;

"Grandpa, my body cultivation remained the same throughout the treatment process." Ji Min answered.

Since Master Li had taken decided not to tell the group the level of his current body cultivation, it would only make sense for him to hide it too; after all, how was he going to explain his 1 Star Lord Level cultivation power without spilling some secrets which he couldn't defend yet?
