Jay × Nick

NICK’S POV

Nick can’t stay still in his seat because of the pressure and nervousness for his interview. He always dreamed daily of going inside this building before, but sitting in front of the door of the Company’s Vice-president was sure making him nervous as hell.

“Sir, you’re next.” The secretary said to him smiling.

“Oh,” he jumped upon hearing her voice.

“Okay.” He continued.

He breathe heavily said to himself ‘Go self! You can do this!’ before entering the Vice-president’s office.

Nick put on his bunny smile upon entering the office. He noticed that the lights inside were dimmed and the only light going in was from the sun through the glasses of the office.

“Good morning Sir!” He greeted the man which he assumed that it is the Vice-president of the company. He slowly closed the door making no sound and goes to the desk. The VP was facing the back which gives him an access to see the broad shoulders, shiny thick black hair which he assumed that the VP was younger than what he had expected. He expected that it was much more older. He could also see his thick veiny arms and his about to burst shirt in his biceps. He was sure that this man go to the gym a lot.

“Sir?” As he tried to get his attention.

As the VP turned his back to him, their eyes quickly met. They stared at each other for a long time, it was like they were memorizing each others faces. He had now seen the VP’s full face and he quickly thought, ‘this man is so hot! His face should be illegal! It’s so perfect!’ as his eyes roamed every corner of the VP’s face, he noticed his thick brows, cold staring deep green eyes, perfectly shaped nose, sharp jaw, and his pinkish lips that looked so kissable.

Kissable?! Did he just thought of that?

“I know I’m handsome Mr. Jang but are you done staring at me?” His eyes widened as the VP asked him. He noticed that the VP’s voice came out very cold and deep.

“H-huh S-sir?” He stuttered as he tried to recall what the VP had asked him.

“Never mind,” as Jay rolled his eyes. “You may now sit Mr. Jang.” As jay motioned him to sit.

“ Y-yes sir.” He stuttered again

Why am I stuttering? Get yourself together!

A loud silence broke on them as the VP read his resume. Jay quickly nod as it was done reading his resume.

“So, why do you decided to work in my company at a young age?” The VP asked him.

“I… uhm, I… uhm,” he nervously waited for his mind to come up with a possible answer and as soon as an answer come up with a thought he quickly said it before it passes right through against his mind. “I worked this young because it’s my dream working here.” He said cheekily.

“You know Mr. Jang, I don’t need fast workers here in my company, as long as they’re truthful and loyal to me. I don’t need liars. So, what’s the answer?” As the VP binded his hands together and put it on the table, and raised an eyebrow at him.

His mind quickly contemplated as he told his mind ‘should I tell him the truth? Or should I just make up another lie? I need this job as soon as possible!’

“I have to work at this young age because of my little brother,” as he told him, he looked down at his trembling hands as he felt his eyes get warm. “I have to work because I need money badly, I have to take care of him, take him to school, feed him, clothe him, give him shelter and I have to pay our house rent, and our house bills.” And finally his tears broke down to his cheeks and let it fall to his hands.

JAY’S POV

As he looked at the boy crying silently, he felt pitiness over him.

His feet suddenly stood up, like it does have it’s mind, and brought him over to the crying boy and picked the boy up and wrapped his arms around the boy’s waist and hugged him.

“Shh,” as he tried to make the boy stop crying. “You’re hired.” He whispered into the boy’s ear. The boy didn’t stop crying as he still pats his back.

Over a minute, the boy stopped crying but he still heard a few sobs.

“Are you… Okay now?” He asked the boy.

“Y-yes S-sir.” There was still a few sobs after it’s breakdown.

NICK’S POV

Suddenly a pair of arms picked him and snake around his waist and put his head against it’s chest. He also felt a hand that pats his back and a hand holding his head.

He felt open and safe in those arms of someone.

“Shh,” he heard a calming and a warm voice against his ear. It was the most soothing voice he ever heard aside from his mom. It made him calm but not enough to make him stop crying. “You’re hired.” As it whispered to him again. He didn’t understood clearly because of his crying. Until a minute, he just sobbed against someone’s chest.

Another minute passed and he pulled away. “Are you… Okay now?” He heard someone asked him while wiping his own tears.

“Y-yes S-sir.” He answered while sobbing . His eyes widened in shock as he heard again his last word ‘sir’.

“Sir?!” He half shouted and looked up and met the gaze of his now boss. “Oh my gosh,” his mouth just opened as he covered his mouth with his hands. “I’m sorry Sir! I’m very sorry. As he tried to wipe the wet part of the shirt where he had cried.

Jay’s hands grabbed his shoulder and said, “hey, hey it’s okay” as he smiled down to him.

“Just leave already. You can start as soon as tomorrow. Just tell my secretary that you’re hired and ask where to put you.”

“Thank you Sir!” He smiled before leaving the office.
