Chapter 1

Nick’s POV

It has been 7 years since Nick entered and applied to the Chao Group of Companies and he still remembers how he cried that day in front of the VP.

Nick Jang is 28 years old, is a secretary of the Vice President of Chao Group of Companies. You can compare him to a bunny. Bunny teeth, chubby cheeks, puffy eyes, and his pink lips that matched his white cream skin tone. He has a body of lean type but still had muscles on it and some abs.

He smiled when he remembered how he did that day and how stupid he is to cry not just in front of the VP but in his chest.

He had never thought that he can work in this kind of office where he had dreamed to work. Without him crying in front of the VP, he can never imagine where he and his brother would live now. Though it’s a stupid action to cry in front of someone you just met. He smiled at the thought of that.

“Why you smilin’ there my friend?” April suddenly appeared out of nowhere like a mushroom with a teasingly smile plastered on her face.

April is one of his friends in the company. They became friends because they said they have the same wavelength in their brains.

“Oh God,” he suddenly put his hands over to his chest where his heart is located because of sudden shock. “Don’t ever scare me like that again! God April! Don’t you know how to knock? I will die in no matter of time because of heart attack.” He glared at her.

She just smiled teasingly while looking at him, “by the way here’s the file that Sir needs.” She then handed a set of papers.

“Thanks, I will hand this to him when I’m done with this.” He replied with a smile.

“Bye! See you this lunch, okay? Let’s have lunch together.” She bid him farewell and left without waiting for his reply.

He stared through the glass door to see his boss if it’s busy. Good thing his boss was busy.

He then focused on what he was doing.

‘Is it really okay if I leave now? Would this office still be the same after I leave?’ He thought.

He took a deep breathe before started focusing again on his resignation letter.

AFTER he’s done with his resignation letter, he then handed the files that his boss was looking for.

The office of the VP was the most grandiose office in the building. The office had two sets of sofas on the right side of the office, on the left part of the office there is a small library containing sets of books and besides that there was a door that leads into a bedroom.

“Sir here’s the file you’ve been looking for from the finance department.” He said sweetly.

After 7 years of working in the company as a secretary of the VP, he remained loyal and truthful to the company. As this was the reason why he and his brother still have a home to go to and have food to eat.

Though his boss was the most lazy, he never complained about it. Although sometimes he is annoyed by the laziness, he never left his side.

His boss seemed not to notice his appearance, so he looked at the computer that his boss seemed to be busy about. Til’ then he realized it was not busy encoding office works but was busy playing league of legends.

His angriness seemed to blow up, but he really tried not to shout once again at his boss. Though it was his boss, the VP just let him say whenever the VP was playing the game. But his head seemed to contemplate to shout at the VP. In the past few years he just let his mind take over his work over heart.

He then tapped the VP’s shoulder. “Get away! I’m playing” he said to him. He tapped the shoulder of the VP again. “I said get away! I’m playin-“ it looked at him. He just crossed his arms over his chest and raised one eyebrow and send him a deadly glare.

“Ah so you’re playing?” He said in a very calm tone but the angriness is still void in his void.

“How dare you play at office hours? Did I let you play now?” He asked the VP angrily.

“You’re the Vice-president of this company Jay! And you’ll just play at this hours?” He then turned off the PC.

Jay leaned into his swivel chair with arms crossed and pouts.

“No.” Jay said to him while keeping it’s voice low. It seemed that the VP was irritated.

“Oh. Do I look like the bad guy now?” he asked him. “It’s not my fault that you’re mother told me to boss around you.” He said with his arms on his waist. The VP just pouted as he say those words.

He then put the files on the desk. “Change into your formal attire before 6pm, we have a party to attend.” He said then left the office.

NICK didn’t notice it was just an hour before they attend the party and unfortunately he had a report to be done and submitted to the technical department by 6 pm and he is still not done.

He hadn’t noticed that the VP was standing in front of his desk as he was busy typing for the report.

“Hey,” he looked up at the VP that looked at him.

“Yes Sir?” he asked.

“Did you already forgot about the party?” the VP asked him.

“I’m still busy. Just change already.” As he tried to get rid of the VP.

“Nope just pass that tomorrow.” Jay told him.

“No,” he said firmly with his eyes still on the computer. “Just change already and I’ll go there, I just have to pass this now.” His hands are now busy tapping into the keys of the keyboard.

“No, you’ll come with me there.” Rejecting his orders. The VP then get his phone into his pocket and called the technical department. After the call, Jay then put his phone back.

“They said that you can pass it tomorrow. So come with me now and pickup your things.” Jay said to him.

He rolled his eyes. “Fine. Just wait for me.”

After he’s done with his things he got into the lockers and changed into his long sleeves and sprayed perfume. And go down with Jay waiting for him in the parking lot.
