CHAPTER 3

WEISS SCHNEE POV

Weiss dispatched another Beowolf with her rapier and glanced at her partner Ruby who finished her own opponent with exaggerated motions.

She scoffed, unimpressed by her partner's show off attitude and turned to look at the anomaly and saw him still fighting against a single Beowolf and holding it off with mere tenacity and his abnormally large aura reserves.

At least she or Ruby didn't have to save him anymore like the last few times.

She had no doubt that if Jaune didn't have his large aura reserves then he would've died multiple times by now.

Except that he had aura. And a lot of it. More than anyone else she had seen in fact.

When she had told Ruby that Jaune had a lot of aura, she was if anything downplaying Jaune's aura reserves.

She knew who Pyrrha Nikos was.

The Invincible Girl. Someone who has been in tournaments since a very young age and has probably been learning how to fight as soon as she could walk.

As a result, Pyrrha Nikos no doubt had large aura reserves herself.

If Pyrrha had unlocked the aura of a normal person, then she wouldn't have even felt the least bit exhausted.

If Pyrrha had unlocked the aura of someone two-three times her or aura reserves then she would've felt slightly tired.

The fact that Pyrrha outright lost all her aura and went into Aura Exhaustion showed just how much aura Jaune has.

That has become even more apparent when Jaune's own severe wound healed within a few seconds and by the fact that Jaune had not suffered a single injury despite being hit by the Beowolves multiple times since they started walking through the forest.

Comparing her own Aura reserves to that of Jaune would be like comparing a glass to a Pitcher.

A small glass to a large pitcher.

Jaune might be useless for now because of his complete lack of training but once he gains a bit of training and learns how to fight properly… he might become useful.

Then there was the fact that Jaune had Pyrrha Nikos as his partner.

To be frank, she had wanted Pyrrha to be her own Partner. But if she couldn't get the Invincible girl as her partner then she would do her best to make sure that Pyrrha was her team mate.

She just had to find out how the teams are made and then make it so that Jaune and Pyrrha are in her own team.

She turned and saw that Jaune had 'finally' managed to kill the Beowolf he was fighting.

"You finally did it!" Ruby cheered at Jaune and she had to hide her annoyed expression at her partner.

Even the weakest Hunter in training would be able to kill the Beowolf within a minute. The fact Jaune managed to kill it after so long doesn't says anything good about his capabilities.

Though she had to admit that she was a bit impressed by how fast he was learning. At least when compared to the first Beowolf he fought.

When he fought his first Beowolf he did nothing but defend with his shield and then waited for them to come and save his life.

Compared to that, killing the Beowolf was already a huge improvement.

"Yes yes." She said impatiently when she noticed that Ruby was still excited about Jaune's first kill "I think we've wasted enough time already. Let's get going."

"Hold on a second Weiss. I want to try something." Jaune said as he removed Pyrrha from his back and laid her down on the ground.

At least he was not calling her Ice Princess anymore.

She couldn't understand why he ever thought he such a name would endear him to her.

"Have you become tired already?" she asked. Though she would never admit that carrying someone and fighting at the same time would be difficult even for her.

"Nothing like that." Jaune said "It's just that, I want to try something."

Her eyes narrowed as Jaune put a hand on Pyrrha's shoulder and then they widened as Jaune started to send his aura to Pyrrha.

"Jaune! What are you doing?" she asked as she stomped up to him.

Pyrrha had already exhausted her Aura as it was. If Jaune pushed his aura inside Pyrrha and played around with it then he might permanently harm Pyrrha's soul.

Then she paused as instead of fighting against his aura, Pyrrha's body easily absorbed his aura.

"I… I think that this is my semblance." Jaune said as Pyrrha's body began to glow.

A few moments later. Pyrrha's eyes fluttered open.

She had to stop herself from dropping her jaw.

A semblance to share his monstrous levels of aura with others.

How interesting.

Jaune might be useless when it comes to fighting but he was definitely going to be a very useful teammate.
