CHAPTER 14

PYRRHA NIKOS POV

"I'm just saying that I would love to have more options." Jaune said as he sat on his chair and looked over at the blueprints of his weapons and then at the plain shield beside it. "I don't see why I should not turn the Shield into a Mechashift weapon as well."

"Because even if you constantly turn your sword into different weapons during the combat, you should always have something at hand to defend yourself." She explained patiently. "Plus, you need to learn how to fight with the sword and aim with the gun as well as learn how to fight while changing your weapons on the move. That alone will take a good amount of your time."

"But… changing his Shield as well would be so cool." Ruby squealed from the Jaune's other side, her eyes filled with stars as the younger girl thought about all the things she could with with Jaune's baby(shield). "We could turn it into a gauntlet like my sister. Or we can turn it into a sword which would allow Jaune to wield two swords. Jaune please allow me to do it. Please please please!!"

"No Ruby." She said "Learning how to fight with one sword on it's own can take a long while. Learning how to fight with two swords is far harder and takes significantly longer amount of time. Time that Jaune does not have with the Vytal festival only a few months away."

"Oh…" Ruby said, her face downcast as she looked down at the feet. This silly girl.

"Don't worry Ruby. We can always turn my Shield into a railgun or something. A one use weapon that can only be used against the strongest Grimm. Like the Giant Nevermore that your sister and her teammates fought during the initiation."

"Where did you even get the resources to build your weapons. Didn't you said that your family is poor? With your mother having to support your seven sisters and you?" Weiss asked and she almost snapped at the callous girl.

Didn't Weiss know how rude she was to people around her?

"Weiss!" Ruby said looking at her partner in shock.

"It's alright Ruby." Jaune said as he gave the younger girl a gentle smile which did funny things to her heart "Weiss is right. I'm not from a rich family. But I asked a loan from Pyrrha. Something that I'll hopefully be able to return to her once our team wins the Vytal Festival and gets the Prize money."

"Of course you would want to mooch off of your partner." Weiss scoffed and her eyes narrowed.

"Weiss." She said, her voice low and threatening.

"It's alright Pyrrha." Jaune said but she had to say this.

"No Jaune. It's not alright." She said as she turned to face the Schnee heiress who looked a bit uncomfortable under her glare "Weiss. You've been exceptionally rude to our leader for the past few days. If there's something you want to say then go ahead and say it."

Weiss looked taken aback at her words but she quickly regained her composure and crossed her arms before turning to glare at Jaune.

"Very well. My problem with Jaune is that he doesn't deserve to have the leader's position in the team."

"Weiss! Why would you say such a thing?" Ruby asked, looking honestly confused and a bit angry.

"Because ever since I was a child, I've spent my days learning how to run a company. I had to give up my childhood in order to become the perfect heir for my father. Do you have any idea how many hours I've spent to become a better leader! Do you? I have every right to become the leader of my own team after everything I went through!!" Weiss said, almost screaming by the end before she pointed at him "And then he comes along. A boy who doesn't know how to fight and doesn't even have his Aura. And after he passed the initiation exam by mooching off of others, he's made the leader or our team by the Headmaster on a whim! Do you know how unfair that is?"

"Weiss. Jaune might be inexperienced but he is not a bad leader." She said in a firm manner.

"Yeah. Please stop dissing him for no reason Weiss." Ruby added.

Weiss raised her hand to make a point but the she saw the look at the team mates faces and closed her mouth.

"You know what? Fine. Be with your perfect leader then." With that, Weiss turned around and ran out of the room.

JAUNE ARC POV

There was silence in the room for a moment before Ruby got up from her chair "I think I should follow her."

He caught her by the cape and stopped her from chasing after Weiss "No! Give her some time alone. I think some self reflection would do her more good right now."

Ruby pouted but sat back down in the chair and started looking over the designs of his weapon to distract herself.

He looked at Pyrrha who rubbed his arm and gave him a supporting look. "You're a good leader Jaune. Don't let what Weiss said get to you."

He nodded. Best waifu Pyrrha will remain the best waifu.

He still felt like a piece of shit for accidentally enslaving her but he was grateful for her love and support nonetheless.

Still. He had assumed that Weiss would stop thinking about being a leader after her talk with Professor Port. She did so in the canon (or that's what he thought at least) so why is she still so butt hurt about it right now.

Oh well. Can't do much about her.

"Hey Ruby."

"Yeah Jaune."

"I was thinking about going to the kitchens to cook something for the team. You want to eat something particular?"

"You can cook?" Ruby asked with stars in her eyes, her earlier bad mood forgotten in an instant.

He smirked at her "Asking me if I can cook is like asking Pyrrha if she can fight. I don't mean to brag but I'm a pretty decent cook."

"Very well then. I want cookies. Can you make me some?" Ruby asked with her puppy eyes.

So cute.

"I'll make some for you." He said and turned to look at Pyrrha "Would you like to eat something as well Pyrrha."

Pyrrha shook her head "I don't have any particular preferences. I'll be here with Ruby and work on your weapon design while you go and cook for us."

"Sure. Thanks for helping with the weapon by the way."

Pyrrha gave him a nod and a warm smile while Ruby waved him off, too focused on the weapon design at the moment.

He smiled and left the room.

Time to finally put Faerie Feast to work.

AN: Weiss acting like a bitch. Who would've thought.

I do hope people won't read this chapter and start telling me to 'Put a Stamp on that Bitch'. Because with how much she currently hates Jaune, if he did put a Stamp on her and she starts loving him then it'll be clear to everyone that something is very wrong.

Even if Jaune did told her to not act lovey dovey with him, the observant students and teachers will realize that something was wrong.

Plus, trying to solve all your problems by enslaving them seems like a bad idea to me.
