Chapter # 14

James went on the stage when Ms. Shauna called him. He also noticed that there were even a greater number of whispers on his turns but, they were more 'positive'. James looked in the direction of his friends and they were waving at him.

Now everyone's attention was at him. They wanted to know where the son of the legends will end up in. Even Mr. Thalius, who was before snoring with his head on the Rustom was now looking attentively at James. James sat on the stool and closed his eyes. A moment later, he heard a voice, "Void....

James opened his eyes but there was no one. Instead, a scorching flame wall irrupted and separated the students and teachers from James. Then a shockwave shuddered from the jars throwing Mr. Thalius and Ms. Shauna unconscious at a distance. James was now worried and tried to move but he wasn't able to. He tried to call night out but his tongue wasn't responding either. Then the first jar shined black, the second shined white, the third red and the fourth blue. A small segment emerged from each jar and the segments merged and formed a large, dark purple orb.

The orb started rotating rapidly and was shot in James's direction and he felt unconscious. When he woke up, he was floating in space. Everything was pitch black and he couldn't see a thing. Then suddenly four different color orbs appeared around him. The orbs turned into a flowing liquid and started entering his body. James felt a huge surge of energy building in side him. He was feeling like the energy would tear him apart. Then after a moment, all the energy was inside James and the pain was gone. Suddenly he started falling down and underneath him was a void of nothingness. He suddenly woke up on a bed sweating intensely. It was a dream.

He was now in a room and Ms. Shauna was sitting in a corner of it. After noticing that James had woken up, Ms. Shauna came near him but after a moment, she became very disturbed and worried. She picked up a glass of water and gave it to James and said, "James... Are you all right? Here have some water". James drank the water and Mr. Thalius entered the room, but his expression was also not inviting.

Ms. Shauna asked him in a low voice, "Is that the mark?". Mr. Thalius nodded and she became more worried. James asked them that what was the problem and Mr. Thalius showed him a mirror. He looked at his reflection and saw that the tattoo under his eye was dark purple. Mr. Thalius then said, "You are a void user James". James was still confused so Mr. Thalius said, "A void user is a very special and rare person who can learn the magic from all four houses and has an endless void of mana. And who knows what else they can do. But a strange thing is that a void user only appears after 2 centuries, and not even one century is passed since the appearance of

the last void user" James noticed that his voice was a little faded when he mentioned the last void user. James asked about the previous void user. Mr. Thalius was reluctant at first but then gave up and said, "It was the same person who is responsible for your parent's death, Radius Shaw". James thought for a moment and then said, "So, Is Tera the daughter of.."

Mr. Thalius then said, "Yes, she is the daughter of Radius. That's why everyone is afraid

of her and she has no friends. I hope that you will not hold a grudge against her, as you are also probably familiar with the feeling of being alone". James then asked, "So, what happened to her parents?". Mr. Thalius then said, "Radius

was imprisoned by the spell casted by your parents, but they had to fulfil the cost of the spell with their lives. Radius was a very evil person, James. He was on the brink of conquering Kasmium if it wasn't for our parents"

After a moment he continued, "And as for her mother, she was a poor soul. Radius is now no more and his wife and daughter has to bear the responsibility of his actions"
