Chapter # 10

The boy had an unusually funny and cheerful way of speaking. James said that his name was 'James' and didn't tell his surname as there were different reactions after knowing his surname, like the reaction of the owner of the pet shop, or the reaction of the person that was at the entrance of the ship.

Then the boy said, "My name is Ryan. Nice to meat ya'". Then they had a long conversation regarding themselves. Ryan told him that he was from Texas and intended to become an adventurer. At first, James tried to avoid any questions regarding his family, but after some time spending with him, Ryan was able to gain his trust. Then James told him about his life and told him that he lived with hi uncle and aunt (Mr. and Mrs. Rosswell) and ignored any questions regarding his parents.

James was so emersed in the conversation that after the announcement did he realized that they were in the middle of the ocean. The announcement was, "Attention all students! Make your way to the main hall as lunch has been prepared". So, they both made their ways to the main hall which was already flooded with people. James was amazed at the scenery. There were many teenagers from different regions, different cultures all sitting and chatting together, and what's more, there were many magical pets almost on par with the teenager's quantity flying, slithering and walking behind their owners. James and Ryan went to a free table at the corner of the main hall. There were three chairs with each table. The last chair

was occupied by a girl a bit shorter than James.

The girl had long, beautiful blue hairs, wearing an elegant blue dress with a very big top hat. They introduced themselves to the girl (James still hiding his surname). Then the girl said, "My name is Angelina Morgan. Nice to meet you". She had a very elegant and polite way of speaking, as she was from a royal family and when she told them she was a Russian, James coughed as the water he was drinking went into the wrong pipe. "Russian!" said James, "But your English is too fluent for a Russian"

Angelina then replied, "It is due to the candy that Mr. Stern gave us. Its effect is that you will hear every human voice in the language you are native with. For example, for me everyone is speaking in Russian and as for you and Ryan, they are speaking in English". James was amazed as how can such a thing can exist. Ryan replied, "Ya' know your stuff Angelika" Angelina replied, "Its Angelina, not Angelika. And it's because I have a very intelligent fairy as my partner". James and Ryan noticed an 8-inch-tall fairy fluttering behind Angelina and was surrounded by a dim blue light.

The fairy bowed at them in mid-air and then Ryan asked, "What's your name little fella" ".

The fairy said that it was Cinderella. While on the topic of magical pets, Angelina asked

them about their pets. Ryan said that he didn't have one and didn't need it. James said

that he had a phoenix. Angelina then said, "A phoenix, that's rare! Could you show it to

us?". James nodded and called out Night. The Jet-black phoenix emerged from his

necklace and screeched loudly while taking three rounds of the whole hall in less then a

minute and came gliding on James's shoulder. James then took out some peanuts from

his pockets and fed it to Night. He noticed that every person in the hall was now looking

at James and even Ryan and Angelina were open-mouthily gazing at him. James was

confused and then asked, "What is the matter guys? Is there something on my face?"

Angelina muttered, "J... James, is this who I think it is?" Ryan stood up from his chair

and had turned his face to James. Excitement was beaming from his face and he was

about to say something when suddenly a fast and sharp card flew in James's direction.

Night noticed it and shot Black flames from his beak and burnt the card to crisp. James

then turned to the direction from where the card was shot. It was Mr. Stern (the person at

the entrance of the ship) with card in the fingers of his left hand. Then he quickly jerked

it and the cards vanished. A small smile appeared on his face and he started clapping.

"Bravo Mr. Hook, Bravo!" said Mr. stern while clapping. Then he continued, "You've

managed to get yourself a pretty strong guardian. But be warned Mr. Hook, if your bird

messes up, you will have to face the consequences". Then Mr. Stern turned back and

while walking away he said, "Enjoy your travel Mr. Hook... If you can that is"
